As Gu Xi commanded his troops to surround and destroy the enemy army layer by layer, the enemy’s Foot Knights also charged out from the rear. Seeing the significantly stronger forces, Gu Xi immediately took control of the battlefield.

”Brave Fight, hold them off.”

Upon hearing this, Brave Fight cast Slowdown Skill onto the Foot Knights.

In the next instant, the movement speed of the Foot Knights slowed down to half.

”Sir, their magic resistance is relatively high; the Slowdown Skill won’t hold them for long.”

”It’s enough for now. Everyone, follow me, attack the foremost one.”

Gu Xi fired a Magic Divine Arrow as a guide, and over six thousand Skeleton Shooters behind him shot simultaneously. Long and short Bone Arrows flew out, constantly stabbing the foremost Foot Knight.

This Foot Knight was not specifically selected by Gu Xi; he just happened to be in a more forward position.

As he charged forward, Gu Xi’s Magic Divine Arrow struck him.

Due to various gems Gu Xi added, the Magic Divine Arrow looked like a Flying Sword entwined with flames.

As it flew towards the Foot Knight, the knight raised his hands, and his two-handed heavy sword cut down the Magic Divine Arrow.

But Gu Xi had already designated the target for the Skeleton Shooters behind.

What followed did not require much from Gu Xi.

Wave after wave of arrows pierced the body of the Foot Knight.

At first, he swung his two-handed heavy sword like a fan.

But as the number of arrows increased, the Foot Knight began to falter.

No matter how strong he was, he didn’t have tens of thousands of Life points or the ability to swiftly recover life.

His level differed greatly from the Skeleton Shooters under Gu Xi’s command, but he couldn’t withstand the extensive quantity and relentless attacks.

When the rain of arrows fell, it took away a portion of his life each time.

With the fourth wave of the rain of arrows, the Foot Knight finally couldn’t withstand it anymore, he took a step back, trying to retreat and let someone else advance.

However, the effect of the Slowdown Skill had a corresponding impact on him.

His movements noticeably slowed down, and just like that, the fifth wave of arrows hit the Foot Knight.

With this hit, the Level 19 Foot Knight collapsed to the ground without a trace of breath.

Successful kill.

Seeing the message pop up, Gu Xi was delighted.

It was just as he thought; with enough forces, even the strongest being can be slain.

This greatly boosted Gu Xi’s confidence.

He pointed at the Foot Knights slowly moving on the battlefield.

”Follow my target, focus fire attack!”

Next, Gu Xi started focusing fire on various Foot Knights. Gu Xi didn’t prioritize attacking the Foot Knights closest to him but rather chose those clearly injured. In Gu Xi’s mind, injuring one is not as effective as killing one.

As for the Foot Knights closer to him, there was no need to worry; Gu Xi bet they couldn’t charge over.

When Gu Xi acted, it wasn’t that no Foot Knight noticed Gu Xi’s army’s situation. After all, Gu Xi’s massive battle banner was there, announcing that he was the commander-in-chief of this army.

The Foot Knights originally served as close guards for the commander-in-chief, and they naturally knew the excellent effect of killing an Undead Mage when facing one.

However, they only managed to dash forward two steps before being stopped by Gu Xi’s forces.

The ones who acted were Gu Xi’s Level 19 Zombie and Level 19 Double-headed Bone Dragon.

Although they didn’t have the powerful talents of Foot Knights, they were still Level 19 beings.

Especially the Zombie, whose template was standard, evolving step by step from an Ordinary Zombie.

To allow the Zombie to surpass the Level 20 threshold, Gu Xi had added everything that could enhance the Zombie.

Not to mention his weaponry was the best Gu Xi could provide for soldiers.

The equipment might not be as noticeable, but the weapon he wielded was a thick Great Axe, and on his head was a Brass Helmet.

These two items were top-notch products from Gu Xi’s Blacksmith Shop and were the standard for the next outfitting in Yalidov City.

The Zombie ahead was already using them, and using them proficiently.

When a Foot Knight dashed to the Zombie, the Zombie raised the Great Axe with both hands and chopped it heavily, embedding the axe into the Foot Knight’s shoulder.

The Foot Knight wanted to counterattack, but affected by the Slowdown Skill, his movement was slower than the Zombie’s. He barely raised his two-handed heavy sword before the Zombie pulled out the embedded axe.

Then, with a backward hand movement, the axe struck the Foot Knight’s knee.

This was also the normal fighting tactic of Zombies.

No matter what weaponry Zombies held, they were keenly aware of their greatest weakness.

Being slow.

That’s the situation of Zombies; making them faster is almost impossible.

So when Zombies strike, they habitually target the opponent’s knees first.

If they can’t speed up, they’ll slow down their enemies.

Despite the Foot Knight already being affected by the Slowdown Skill, the Zombie still found it insufficiently secure.

So the direct hit landed on the Foot Knight’s knee.

This caused the Foot Knight’s left leg to bend backward, making his body topple unnaturally to the left.

Taking advantage of this, the Zombie stepped forward, raising the Great Axe high, and chopped heavily toward the Foot Knight’s neck.

At this moment, the Foot Knight showed extraordinary adaptability. Despite falling, his body arched backward, barely dodging the strike.

The Foot Knight then decisively fell to the ground.

With his battle experience, he knew how severe his injuries were, so he understood how he should attack now.

His leg showed obvious issues, standing up to fight would mean losing the advantage.

So he chose to fight on the ground; after all, they weren’t untrained in ground skills.

However, he never anticipated that the Zombie’s combat experience exceeded his own.

Once the Foot Knight collapsed to the ground, the Zombie immediately understood his intentions.

The Zombie was not afraid at all, instead stepping heavily forward, causing a mass of soil to surge up from the ground, quickly covering the Foot Knight.

That rendered the Foot Knight immobile.

At this point, the Zombie stepped forward, his Great Axe heavily swinging down.
