”The time is about right, let’s get moving.”

After making a full circle around the Westminster Cathedral, Gu Xi ultimately couldn’t find any clues for an exclusive mission.

As the agreed two hours passed, Gu Xi temporarily set aside other thoughts and led his troops toward the direction of the Westminster Cathedral underground tunnels.

Upon arriving with his troops, Gu Xi noticed that the progress of various British forces was still too slow.

Actually, when he cleared the Westminster Cathedral underground tunnel, the front path was already completely opened.

Yet, two hours had passed, and these British soldiers were setting up a new defense line at the entrance of the underground tunnel, with only a tenth of the troops entering through the opened tunnel entrance.

It was clear that the main force exploring the underground tunnel was still under Gu Xi’s command, Robbie and Commander Lin.

At this moment, Commander Lin’s troops included Blind Swordsmen and Black Ebony Spiders, playing significant roles.

These two units were the most suitable for battles in such underground tunnels.

Once the Blind Swordsmen entered the underground tunnel, they weren’t blind at all. Holding their longswords in one hand, they rushed forward with their heads down. After a few steps, the sword light flashed in their hands.

After the sword light flickered, an enemy on the surrounding walls would fall immediately, regardless of where they initially hid; they couldn’t stay hidden before the Blind Swordsmen.

And for the Blind Swordsmen, this was quite natural.

Their training camp was built beneath the sewer, and during training, they hunted small animals like rats and roaches in the sewer.

So, they never bothered to look for the enemy’s whereabouts, they just struck when something felt off and could easily kill the enemy.

In such an underground tunnel, no matter how the enemy hid, the Blind Swordsmen would dispose of them with a slash.

And unlike the Blind Swordsmen, the Black Ebony Spiders were undead-type spider units.

This kind of unit didn’t have a high level initially, but those that reached Level 8 were strong presences among the Black Ebony Spiders, having maximized their spider abilities.

Spider silk, spider webs, spider sensing—many abilities unreachable by Level 1 Black Ebony Spiders, they could wield them effortlessly.

No one could hide in front of them.

They cooperated with the Blind Swordsmen, while the Blind Swordsmen dealt with ground enemies, they handled enemies on the ceiling.

All the way down, they achieved quite a high record.

And the British soldiers followed behind, they didn’t remain idle; when enemies popped out, they participated in handling them too.

Sometimes when there were many enemies, they even stood firm and faced them.

But this was about the extent of their role.

Within the underground tunnel, the situation was extremely complicated, and these forces were unwilling to invest their troops in the exploration task.

Relying solely on Gu Xi’s two heroes, what progress could they really make?

When Gu Xi himself arrived, he found they had explored only over a thousand meters.

Seeing this scenario, Gu Xi didn’t know what to say.

With the path already opened, two hours have passed.

Even crawling should’ve reached the Tail King by then.

But unexpectedly, when Gu Xi came, the situation was like this.

Weren’t they supposed to personally face the Tail King?

What’s going on now?

Despite criticizing the British troops internally for lacking strength, Gu Xi didn’t stop his steps.

He swiftly bypassed the troops in the rear to reach the forefront of the underground tunnel.

”What’s the situation, why is the progress so slow?”

Upon seeing his two heroes, Gu Xi immediately asked.

At this moment, Commander Lin spoke up first, ”There are those dragging behind. Each of them cherishes their lives and wants to profit, afraid we might steal their glory.

So it ended up in this state.”

Seeing Commander Lin’s disdainful expression, Robbie nodded affirmatively.

”I suggested multiple times, let’s lead the Bone-Slaying Camp to charge in, but each time we were about to advance, they would come over saying they want to participate too. However, their troops haven’t been deployed yet, hoping we’ll wait a bit.

As you see, sir, two hours just resulted in this short distance.”

Gu Xi understood, these guys were cherishing their troops.

However, Gu Xi couldn’t help shaking his head.

Those who achieve great things cannot cherish their troops.

Trying to ensure zero casualties ultimately results in gaining nothing.

”Forget them, we move forward ourselves. Lin, scout ahead. Robbie, keep an eye here, if they jump out again, don’t spare them, push them back directly.

What kind of people are these.”

Gu Xi mumbled a bit and then, carrying his Illusion Magic Wand, moved forward.

Upon receiving the command, Commander Lin and Robbie swiftly took action.

Commander Lin’s troop immediately picked up the pace.

Seeing this, the British soldiers trailing behind wanted to speed up and follow.

But Robbie’s Bone-Slaying Camp didn’t progress, instead, they blocked the underground tunnel.

They neither advanced nor attacked, just pretending to sort out gear and sharpen weapons.

The issue was the Bone-Slaying Camp’s undead troops, numbering several thousand, were clustered together, making it impossible for regular individuals to squeeze through.

Thus, the British soldiers ended up stuck, even blocking the path behind.

At this time, Anna from the instance and others including the Grand Knight came over.

Initially, they seemed quite satisfied.

The cleaned underground tunnel posed no danger at all, not even corpses on the ground were left.

Occasionally, there were freshly placed torches acting as street lamps along the sides of the tunnel, making it easier for Anna and others to move smoothly.

This allowed Anna and the group to easily delve into the depths.

However, after covering just over a thousand meters, the team halted.

Most British soldiers were blocked behind.

”What happened ahead?”

Anna from the instance asked displeased, ”Why have we stopped?”

If Gu Xi were here, he’d have noticed something off about Anna from the instance.

Because she wasn’t standing in the center but rather accompanying a seemingly ordinary brown-haired man.

This brown-haired man had a rather high nose bridge, a slightly square face, and a mane of long, disheveled hair resembling a lion’s.

He wore a small suit covered by a red cloak.

As Anna posed her question, he raised his head, revealing lifeless gray eyes.
