Chapter 874: Chapter 872: Battle Situation in the City

In the New Yalidu City of the New Land Period, it was just acquired and was being prepared to be developed into an Industrial Zone.

When Gu Xi went to Westminster Cathedral, Luna stayed here, demolishing the original buildings and leaving various construction materials behind.

They had also delineated areas, preparing to partition new areas according to the locations of the Assembly Hall, Warehouse, Dock, Enchantment Platform, etc.

However, suddenly such an incident occurred, and the buildings that hadn’t yet been demolished were directly overturned by tree roots bursting from underground.

Simultaneously, Deceitful Shadows and eerie tree forms from outside the city stormed into the city together.

This caused considerable losses to the Undead working here.

Fortunately, Luna promptly called in troops, utilizing control over the city to subdue the enemy.

Additionally, most of the urban area had been dismantled, turning Yalidov City into a vast plain.

Though no other soldiers arrived, Amirka, armed with a strong cavalry force, happened to be able to join the battle.

Taking this opportunity, Amirka conducted three to four sweeps of the New Yalidu City.

When Gu Xi emerged from the river, he happened to witness Amirka leading the cavalry against a group of enemies.

Seeing this scene before him, Gu Xi was also stunned.

He never expected Amirka to reach this extent.

In front of him were no more than thirty Deceitful Shadows of low level, yet Amirka, with thousands of cavalry, chose to initiate a charge.

The purpose of such a charge was unclear.

The cavalry at the rear perhaps hadn’t even seen the enemy.

But when Amirka trampled all thirty Deceitful Shadows to death, Gu Xi realized that Amirka was training the coordination between cavalry units.

Strangely, Amirka, though at the forefront of the team, knew every change among the cavalry behind him in detail.

Every word he said hit the mark.

Regardless of their unit, the cavalry nodded continuously upon hearing Amirka’s words, as if they had comprehended many things.

Witnessing the situation in front of him, Gu Xi was at a loss for words.

Was he using the Deceitful Shadows for training?

After just a few minutes of explanation, Amirka was about to leave for the next location.

At that moment, Amirka just happened to see Gu Xi appearing on the river surface.

Amirka swiftly ran over.

”Sir, what brings you here?”

”With such a significant event happening here, naturally, I came to take a look.”

Gu Xi jumped down from the Holy Silver Evil Coffin.

Upon landing on the ground, Gu Xi casually asked, ”What’s the current situation here? How many enemies remain in the city?”

”The enemies in the city are mostly cleared, but outside the city, a Deceitful Shadow army is gathering. They’ll reach here in about a day.

Luna’s intention is to clear everything in the city first so that when the enemy attacks, we won’t be distracted by in-city matters.”

Upon saying this, Amirka confidently added, ”Sir, please allow me to engage in the battle outside the city.”

Gu Xi understood that outside the New Yalidu City in the New Land Period was an even larger plain.

That location was ideal for cavalry combat.

Amirka surely seized every opportunity.

The battle outside the city was indeed suitable for him to engage in.

Upon hearing Amirka’s words, an idea instantly flashed in Gu Xi’s mind.

”Amirka, you’re not needed in the city battle, you should now leave the city and prevent the enemy’s approach.

In this period, Yalidov City lacks City Gates, City Walls, and defenses; allowing enemies too near would be quite detrimental to the city. Use the cavalry’s mobility to lead them elsewhere.”

Upon hearing this, Amirka immediately became excited.

This was precisely what he desired, going outside the city to fight was exactly what he ought to do.

”Rest assured, Sir, I will ensure all enemies are kept outside the city.”

”Also, if the enemy’s strength is weak, you may initiate an attack on your own, but do not delve too deep.

The enemy is coming from the direction of Westminster Cathedral, and this anomaly was triggered by an explosion from that area.

It must be very chaotic over there now.

Just clear out the enemies outside; don’t touch other things, let the Barracks handle the rest through battles or other means.”

Worried that Amirka might act rashly, Gu Xi specifically mentioned this context.

Amirka nodded and additionally said to Gu Xi, ”Rest assured, Sir, I won’t act recklessly. However, as a Knight, I rely on courage and swift advances during a Charge.

If challenges arise, I will not retreat.”

”Alright, you measure it yourself, right, where is Luna now?”

”At the heart of the city, Luna has set up a massive mirror there. Just go, and you can see her.”

Gu Xi understood that as the number of cities increased, Luna began employing small measures.

After all, there were already three cities from different periods existing simultaneously; if she spent half a day merely on traveling, there would be little time for her to get things done.

Sometimes Gu Xi would come looking for her, consuming even more time.

That’s why Luna thought of this method.

Arranging large mirrors at the center of each Yalidov City to move or communicate via mirrors.

With only three Yalidu Cities for now, its effectiveness is not yet evident.

Once all seven Yalidov Cities are captured, this arrangement will be immensely useful.

This arrangement, similar to the Grand Princess Council of Elder Princess Anna, utilizes various means to comprehensively handle matters concerning Yalidov City.

At that moment, Gu Xi was also contemplating whether he should set something up himself.

Perhaps, he should arrange something for the Death Incarnations.

An idea soon crossed Gu Xi’s mind: he could deploy Death Incarnations to guard different cities.

Like the Death Incarnation - Bone Dragon, idling in the Dragon Bone Laboratory during free time.

So, could the other two Death Incarnations also do the same?

Currently, Gu Xi had three Death Incarnations.

During combat, he typically released two of them.

However, when the Death Incarnations operated within Death City, all three could appear together.

It’s just that for a building like the Dragon Bone Laboratory, Gu Xi only had this one. For the Death Incarnation - Death God and the Death Incarnation - Titan, Gu Xi had no other place to assign them yet.

However, Gu Xi had already taken note of this matter in his heart.

After this incident is resolved, he planned to explore options to procure more buildings related to Death Incarnations.
