By the shore of Evil Wood Lake, Jiben, who had been staying in the Magic Plant District, was flying around nonstop.

When he saw Gu Xi coming over, he quickly flew to Gu Xi’s front.

”My lord, you finally came.”

”Did something happen in the Magic Plant District? You all look very busy.”

Hearing Gu Xi’s question, Jiben nodded repeatedly.

”My lord, just now the plants in the Magic Plant District almost rioted. Although we suppressed it, some of the plants here were affected by a special kind of Power and are undergoing mutation.

My lord, how should we handle these mutations?

Do we stop them or preserve them?”

”Are these mutations good or bad?”

Gu Xi had also seen some changes in the Magic Plant District earlier, but when it came to plants, Gu Xi’s understanding was far from comprehensive.

Although his Botany had reached Level 4 and his Herbalism had reached Level 5, all of that was research done by others that Gu Xi had forcibly memorized.

He might know how to plant certain plants and where to gather herbs, but as for how to cultivate them, whether a mutation is good or bad, Gu Xi had no clue at all.

If the situation before him were put before a Player whose Botany and Herbalism had reached above Level 10, that person might be able to explain it clearly, and might even be able to guide the mutation himself.

But for Gu Xi, all he could really do was gamble.

The plants in the Magic Plant District were all useful to Gu Xi; even if the mutation direction was beneficial, Gu Xi still had to consider whether he should accept such a mutation.

Not to mention the possibility of failed mutation, or mutation in a bad direction.

Faced with Gu Xi’s question, Jiben also hesitated. He really wanted to say it would turn in a good direction, but he truly couldn’t say such words.

Seeing Jiben’s reaction, Gu Xi also understood what the situation was, and could only say in the end: ”Forget it, let’s maintain the original Status. By the way, in the letter I sent before, have you prepared what I requested?”

”It’s already arranged. The Blood Maple Tree altar has been built by the shore of Evil Wood Lake. The lake water has already submerged the altar, and the vitality we drew from some trees has also been prepared. We’re just waiting for you, my lord.”

”Alright, then let’s begin. Oh, during this period, there will be situations where tree roots entangle other places in Yalidu City. My subordinates will cut those roots; you lead your people to drag these roots to the Magic Plant District and use them as fertilizer here.”

Gu Xi thought of the roots he had seen in Yalidu City and understood that over in the New Yaliduvi District where Luna was handling things, this kind of situation would definitely be even more common.

Those roots definitely had to be dealt with.

It would be somewhat wasteful to just throw away the roots that were removed.

Using them as fertilizer instead was the best option for now.

Jiben immediately agreed to this request from Gu Xi.

Gu Xi no longer said anything extra at this point; carrying Anna’s corpse, he walked to the newly built altar.

The altar before him had been built by the Little Elves; there wasn’t much Undead style in it, instead it was filled with a natural aura.

Gu Xi didn’t particularly care about this. In his view, as long as it was an altar that allowed him to perform Undead Transformation, it was fine.

When Gu Xi carried Anna’s corpse forward, Eve was also there helping.

On the way here, Eve had already gone over Gu Xi’s plan, and since she herself was a Magic System expert, she could handle many Magic Ceremonies.

With both Gu Xi and Eve working, the altar was quickly arranged, with all the main materials placed around it.

Forty-nine of the White Candle Factory’s special white candles were lit, and Anna’s corpse was placed in the very center of the altar, along with the Scepter of Serenity that they had just obtained.

In addition, Gu Xi poured a large amount of Mercury onto Anna’s head, intending to use this to calm the corpse down somewhat.

Eve was not idle either; she was simultaneously brewing seven or eight kinds of light Magic Potions.

Eve was quite used to doing this sort of thing, but what surprised her were the formulas that Gu Xi took out.

Each formula had some kind of strengthening or purification effect on the corpse.

Many of them were very targeted.

After these Potions were finished, some were poured directly onto Anna’s corpse, some were poured into her stomach.

A few were sprinkled over the altar.

With two people working together, Gu Xi’s setup proceeded very quickly.

In only a little over three hours, everything had been arranged.

What followed was Gu Xi’s work alone; Eve continued to simmer different Magic Potions there. After all, they had gotten more materials this time; by brewing more now, they wouldn’t need to specially brew them next time.

Gu Xi stood before the altar, holding the Illusion Magic Wand that had transformed into the shape of a Longbow, and began chanting the Spell of Undead Transformation.

After this battle, Gu Xi’s Soul Summoning Skill Level had risen by 1. Together with his various pieces of equipment and buffs, his Soul Summoning Skill was now at Level 11+5.

Adding in his Level 11+2 Undead Knowledge, Level 8 Undead Enhancement, Level 7 Undead Research, Level 8 Undead Domination, and Level 7 Magic Ceremony.

Gu Xi now had the confidence to complete a formal Undead Transformation.

He could even possibly skip relying on success rates and guide the Undead Transformation toward the direction he needed.

As Gu Xi chanted the Spell line after line, the vitality that Jiben and the others had stored in the altar began to merge into Anna’s corpse.

Then all the White Candle Flames went out simultaneously, and Gu Xi recited the final line of the Spell.

At that line, all the materials Gu Xi had prepared rose into the air and were continuously driven into Anna’s corpse.

Compared to the previous time when Gu Xi worked on Eldest Princess Anna, the current situation was actually nothing.

Gu Xi did not alter Anna’s corpse in any way; he only poured large amounts of Mercury into her brain.

This Mercury, combined with the previous Potions, was the main method to ensure that this Anna’s personality would become calmer.

Under Gu Xi’s operation, the blood vessels on the surface of Anna’s skin changed from their original bluish green to a Mercury color.

At the same time, her hand moved, reaching out to grasp the Scepter of Serenity placed on her chest.

The instant she grabbed the Scepter, her clothes rapidly changed as well, turning into a black-and-silver court-style female knight outfit. Together with the Scepter in her hand, she looked less like an Undead meant for battle and more like someone about to attend an Upper House session.

As Anna’s eyes opened, Gu Xi noticed that her eyes had already turned Mercury-colored.

At the same time, a chime sounded in Gu Xi’s ear.

[Undead Transformation successful, you have mastered the Undead Transformation Skill!]

[Undead Transformation successful, new Undead Lord of Mercury Anna has joined your team.]
