Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 873: Chapter 871: Anna, Lord of Mercury

[Undead Transformation Level 1: A passive ability of the Undead Mage, able to enhance suitable corpses through a series of methods, ultimately transforming them into undead with self-awareness and growth potential. The current success rate of undead transformation is between 35% (without a transformation array) and 55% (with a transformation array).]

[Note 1: Although undead transformation is somewhat related to undead knowledge, magic ceremonies, undead enhancement, undead research, etc., the level and strength of the transformed undead are not directly linked to these skills but rather to the corpse itself and the invested materials.]

[Note 2: Unlike the soul summoning skill, undead transformation can’t be applied on a large scale, but its success rate can be enhanced through the Soul Summoning Tower or the Undead Mage’s special equipment.]

[Note 3: Undead transformation can be divided into the undead self-enhancement route, hero transformation route, and elite transformation route, each requiring different materials and transformation arrays.]

With the appearance of the undead transformation skill, apart from the information that popped up in front of Gu Xi, he gained a deeper understanding of undead transformation.

For example, the undead transformation success rate refers not to the success rate of transforming a corpse into an undead, but the success rate of completing the undead transformation.

This may sound a bit convoluted, but it’s actually quite straightforward.

For instance, Gu Xi has the corpse of the Yaksha King, which is at Level 19.

Gu Xi has not used it because the soul summoning skill can only summon it to Level 8.

However, using undead transformation, the transformed undead would roughly be between Level 17 and Level 20.

The success rate of undead transformation refers to the likelihood of achieving these levels.

If it fails, unfortunately, the Level 19 Yaksha King’s corpse and the significant investment of materials would only result in a Level 8 normal undead.

Thus, this serves as a reminder for Gu Xi to carefully consider whether to pursue a sure-win or a strategic one.

Compared to the situation of undead transformation, the reawakened Lord of Mercury, Anna, is less important.

Having undergone this undead transformation, she is now an undead with self-awareness.

In terms of consciousness, she has met Gu Xi’s requirements, being notably composed.

Additionally, she is not considered an undead soldier, nor a hero or an elite, and is not one of Gu Xi’s contracted undead.

Her template is quite intriguing, filled with the style of Eldest Princess Anna.

[Name: Anna (Lord of Mercury, member of Grand Princess Council)]

Race: Zombie

Level: Level 7 (0/5000)

Talent: Composure (Innately calm, with a 30% increased chance of spotting detail-related issues)

Status: Life (410/410), Magic Power (340/340)

Attributes: Power 3.6, Agility 3.7, Constitution 3.1, Intelligence 2.4, Perception 2.7, Charm 2.6

Skills: Armor of Serenity Level 3, Eye of Wisdom Level 2, Breath of Mercury Level 4...]

After glancing at Anna’s attributes, Gu Xi understood that the Eldest Princess had somehow formed a connection with the corpse within the dungeon. Hence, the undead transformed from Anna’s corpse automatically becomes a member of the Grand Princess Council.

As for the race of the undead, that depends on the condition of the corpse and the method of handling it.

This time, the corpse Gu Xi brought back was relatively complete, and combined with various materials and the Scepter of Serenity, and most importantly, mercury, it was transformed into a zombie.

As for the title of Lord of Mercury, it’s essentially a nod to Eldest Princess Anna.

After all, the original form is that of the princess; a title is needed for the bodies transformed from the dungeon.

As Gu Xi appraised Lord of Mercury Anna, she took out a stack of parchment-like materials, arranged them neatly, rolled them into a bundle, and held it in her left hand.

This made her look more like a council member preparing to attend a meeting at the Upper House.

Gu Xi noted that what Lord of Mercury Anna held were probably the files prepared in the dungeon meant for him.

But Gu Xi, in his efforts to capture Anna within the dungeon, returned these files just as he received them.

Now it’s clear that these have become Lord of Mercury Anna’s signature trait, and even if Gu Xi wanted them now, he couldn’t retrieve them.

In light of this, Gu Xi merely sighed, then told Lord of Mercury Anna, ”Prepare yourself, we’re transitioning to the new era.”

After speaking, Gu Xi jumped onto the Holy Silver Evil Coffin.

Simultaneously, Eve nodded at Gu Xi, not intending to leave with him but rather to stay and concoct the final magic potion.

Once this was done, she would not directly participate in the frontline combat.

As a researcher in the rear guard, she still has other tasks to complete.

After boarding the Holy Silver Evil Coffin with Lord of Mercury Anna, it automatically entered Evil Wood Lake and moved along the river towards a nearby stream.

After capturing Yalidu City from another era, Gu Xi’s first move was to tackle the transportation issues.

The Carriage Station was established immediately.

Additionally, the river channel and sewer were promptly opened.

This means that, apart from Yaliduvi Tower, Gu Xi can travel between different eras of Yalidu City via sewers or rivers.

To deal with Anna’s corpse, Gu Xi set out slightly later than Eldest Princess Anna.

Now, transferring through Yaliduvi Tower was somewhat slow.

Thus, Gu Xi simply opted for the river route, flowing along the river into the new era of Yalidu City.

Upon receiving Gu Xi’s command, the Holy Silver Evil Coffin immediately activated its ability.

Sitting in the main seat of the Holy Silver Evil Coffin, Gu Xi felt the surrounding darkness swiftly envelop him, entering into shadow travel.

However, this increased the Holy Silver Evil Coffin’s speed and reduced the headwind, so Gu Xi didn’t mind.

As long as the Holy Silver Evil Coffin ensures speed and delivers him to the designated location, it’s fine.

Lord of Mercury Anna stood beside Gu Xi.

Due to the influence of mercury and the Scepter of Serenity, she showed no surprise at anything she encountered.

Not just racing into darkness; even charging into fire wouldn’t faze her.

She simply observed the outside world. As one of Eldest Princess Anna’s prepared subordinates, she had a sufficient strategic vision.

At least her previous performance in the dungeon was praised except for being a bit arrogant and having unstable emotions.

Now, calming down, Lord of Mercury Anna began planning how to respond to potential battles.

At this moment, the darkness before Gu Xi dispersed, and the Holy Silver Evil Coffin burst forth into the new era of Yalidu City.
