Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 862: Chapter 860: The Quartermaster with a Mobile Warehouse

When Anna, in the instance, led the British troops into the underground passage behind Westminster Cathedral, Gu Xi also led his subordinates outwards.

Though Westminster Cathedral was large, Gu Xi moved at an incredible speed and soon reached the foyer of the cathedral.

At that time, the British troops’ defense line was still in this place, and the soldiers stationed there were tidying up the just-established defense line.

No need to ask, they had already received the news and were preparing to move the defense line towards the underground passage of Westminster Cathedral.

When they saw Gu Xi approaching, these soldiers quickly made way for him.

They all knew who deserved credit for the smooth resolution of the Westminster Cathedral incident this time.

A logistics officer even approached Gu Xi.

”Lord, do you need to replenish some logistic equipment?

I noticed you haven’t replenished any weapons or equipment on your way here. It’s fine not to replenish weapons, but shouldn’t you replenish some consumables?”

Gu Xi glanced at the logistics officer and smiled as he asked, ”What can be replenished? I mainly need some potions or something like that.”

Hearing Gu Xi’s words, the logistics officer also smiled.

”Of course, we rushed here from behind, but the royal family has already allocated many supplies, and you see, these potions are specially prepared for this battle.”

The logistics officer spoke while bringing out a small cart from behind.

Gu Xi noticed that the cart was filled with a kind of purple potion.

[Active Potion (Green): A special potion with a strong effect, drinking it can instantly restore 50% life and 50% mana.]

”These are the best potions we can offer.”

The logistics officer pushed the entire cart of potions in front of Gu Xi.

Looking at the cart full of potions, Gu Xi was a bit surprised.

So generous?

At this point, the logistics officer seemed to notice what Gu Xi was thinking, and explained, ”Lord, just take them without worry, these are for ordinary soldiers, and there’s a lot of them.”

Only then did Gu Xi realize he had overthought it.

He then waved his hand to his followers, and the Undead from behind gathered up all the potions on the cart.

At this time, the logistics officer also began to introduce some materials for sale on his end to Gu Xi.

There were consumables like bandages, herbs, arrows, etc., of various qualities, as well as relatively good longswords, long spears, magic wands, and similar weapons for soldiers.

The quality of these weapons was comparable to various weapons in Yalidu City.

All these could be purchased in large quantities, as long as Gu Xi could afford them, the logistics officer would sell them in any amount.

Hearing this, Gu Xi was quite pleased.

It’s not that he lacked these weapons and equipment supplies, but from the logistics officer, Gu Xi saw a possibility to save time.

After all, the blacksmith shop in Yalidu City was too small, with not many famous blacksmiths available. Each time a full-scale equipment upgrade was required in Yalidu City, time just dragged on longer and longer.

This forced some newly summoned or transformed Undead entering Yalidu City to use the replaced weapons and equipment.

It greatly affected the combat power of Gu Xi’s troops.

You need to know that Gu Xi’s current Undead Enhancement Level is 8, and using ordinary soul summoning techniques, the summoned Undead are all Level 8.

Can you imagine the scene of a Level 8 Undead charging into battle with bare hands?

That would be worse than some powerless Skeleton Soldiers.

The logistics officer being able to sell weapons and equipment in bulk presented an opportunity for Gu Xi.

”If I purchase in large quantities, is there any discount? By the way, I remember that Britain also has a tradition of using the Undead, so I wonder if you have any suitable weapons and equipment for the Undead?”

”It seems we don’t have anything specifically for the Undead, but I do have some bone weapons here, would you be interested? If so, I can sell these bone weapons to you at a discounted price.”

”That’s a good thing, I want all the equipment you have, let me know the total amount and required funding, I have gold coins and various materials here, you see what’s suitable for the transaction.”

”Lord, anything works, rest assured, I will bring out the best for you.”

Upon hearing this, the logistics officer was overjoyed and had his subordinates bring out different equipment.

Like longswords in barrels, spearheads in boxes, and armor divided into several parts, and so on.

Anything he had, he brought out.

Moreover, his prices weren’t high.

The longswords were of +2 quality, meaning the attack power range for all soldiers using these longswords could increase by 2 points.

This was already considered good weaponry in Yalidu City.

With the pace of replacing equipment in blacksmith shops, it would take until the third round of full replacement to allow all Undead soldiers to equip this level of gear.

And Gu Xi had not yet completed the third full replacement.

In other words, these weapons and equipment were just right for Gu Xi’s current level.

Gu Xi just needed to spend a little gold, and he could exchange them for the most suitable equipment.

For Gu Xi, that was certainly a good thing.

Gu Xi just looked at the quality of the weapons and waved his hand.

”I want them all, don’t bother being formal, whatever the price is, it is.”

”Of course, I wouldn’t do that, I’m not someone who’s ignorant, rest assured Lord, I will handle everything for you.”

The logistics officer said as he quickly quoted prices.

As Gu Xi said, he took all the weapons and equipment available.

For those that could be used, he directly swapped them for his subordinates.

For those that couldn’t be used, Gu Xi sent them to Yalidu City, where plenty were waiting for upgrades.

Boxes of gold coins were transported out from Yalidu City, and if gold coins weren’t enough, other items were used instead.

No matter what, as long as there were supplies from the logistics officer’s end, Gu Xi could constantly provide materials for transactions.

It wasn’t until Gu Xi bought out everything from the logistics officer in one go that the transaction was considered over.

Seeing his empty supply vehicle, the logistics officer’s face was full of smiles.

He didn’t expect the business to be this easy to do.

As the last batch of weapons and equipment was transported away by Gu Xi’s subordinates, the logistics officer pulled Gu Xi aside.

”Lord, do you need anything else?”

Gu Xi heard it and knew there was more to it, ”Of course, is there something you have?”

”Certainly, and there’s a lot.”

The logistics officer glanced around before speaking in a low voice, ”Lord, I have a batch of obsolete weapons and equipment, they’re relatively cheap, would you want them?”
