Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 857: Chapter 855: Illusion Set

Gu Xi now held a potion that suddenly appeared in his hand.

The potion bottle was about the size of a fist, filled with a purple potion, with bubbles resembling skulls rising occasionally within.

[Heart of Death (Blue): A special potion transformed by a powerful Spirit Mage or Necromancer. All its abilities are converted into this bottle of potion. After consuming this potion, there is a 30% chance to randomly acquire one skill (Spirit or Undead direction), a 40% chance to permanently increase Intelligence and Perception by 3 points, and a 30% chance to permanently increase Mana by 30 points.]

For the attributes of the potion in front of him, Gu Xi didn’t know what to say.

The random skill aspect particularly caught Gu Xi’s attention.

The other effects weren’t as strong.

But looking at the description of Heart of Death, Gu Xi could understand how this thing came to be.

If the effects of the first bottle were good, Gu Xi would come back for more.

If the effects weren’t good, then perhaps not.

As he thought about it, Gu Xi opened the cap and poured the purple potion into his mouth.

The moment he drank this potion, Gu Xi felt as if he had been soaked in formalin for too long, with a strange taste lingering in his mouth.

”No wonder it’s transformed by a Necromancer; with this taste, it’s hard to believe it has nothing to do with a Necromancer.”

[You drank the Heart of Death (Blue), the effect of the Heart of Death activated, you have acquired the skill Telekinesis.]

[Telekinesis (Level 1): Uses 1 point of Mana to send an object to a designated position within a 30-meter range. The object’s weight must not exceed 30 kilograms.]

”Uh, a Necromancer getting a Spirit-related skill, what’s the deal? Really uninteresting, a waste of such a good potion.”

Gu Xi muttered as he stood up. As he spoke, the British forces quickly arrived.

Leading them was no longer Anna from the dungeon; this time, only the Grand Knight arrived, representing the royal family.

As soon as he entered the Westminster Cathedral Cemetery, his gaze swept around as if assessing how much the tombs of past kings were affected by the recent battle.

As for other forces, not many came by; they seemed to have headed in other directions.

Gu Xi didn’t know what their actions were, but he didn’t care much.

In Gu Xi’s eyes, he had no rival in this dungeon, so he saw no need to hide anything he did.

Even if they turned on him now, Gu Xi wouldn’t care.

At this moment, Gu Xi pointed towards the corpse of Mind Controller Xiao Song.

”Soul Summoning Skill!”

Directly in front of the Grand Knight and others, Gu Xi converted the enemy boss into his undead subordinate.

But the next moment, Gu Xi’s body straightened; he found he had hit the jackpot.

[You successfully used the Soul Summoning Skill and acquired a Corpse Witch Warrior (Level 8), gaining 1 point of Summoning experience.]

[Corpse Witch Warrior (Level 8, Summoned Creature): Experience (0/1500), Attack 13, Defense 11, Life 55, Skills: Death Cloud, Mind Shock, Spellcaster (Can learn spells used by Heroes)]

A Hero, huh.

This is the peak of the Warrior route, equivalent to a Leader on the boss side.

Gu Xi had only heard of it before but had never seen it.

On the contrary, among his heroes, he already had two Leaders.

Now this is a start.

For Gu Xi, a Corpse Witch Warrior was good news, and he beckoned to it.

”From now on, stay by my side.”

The Corpse Witch Warrior grinned widely upon hearing that.

He certainly understood that staying by Gu Xi’s side was different from being beside some heroes.

Especially for heroes like this, their level should normally be equivalent to a Leader’s.

But within the team, Heroes often aren’t as valued as Leaders.

This led to a situation where no Leader wanted a Hero, but having a Hero follow a Leader didn’t please them either.

And so, Heroes were simply ignored.

When Gu Xi said to have him by his side, it was like giving this Corpse Witch Warrior a way out.

At least the Corpse Witch Warrior could hold his head high.

But Gu Xi wasn’t thinking that far ahead; in his eyes, he had simply been lucky this time to gain a Heroic-level Corpse Witch, who had immediately stepped into place.

Gu Xi didn’t have anywhere to place him, so he kept him nearby.

After converting the ordinary soldiers slain by his subordinates into Undead Soldiers, Gu Xi turned and led his troops towards the rear of Westminster Cathedral.

As he passed by the Grand Knight, Gu Xi flipped his hand.

”Oh, Grand Knight, this time the enemy broke into Long-legged Edward’s tomb and took out his burial items. Here are his crown and longsword, I’ve placed them here. You decide whether to hand them to the Eldest Princess or to bury them back yourself.”

Hearing Gu Xi’s words, the Grand Knight’s heart tightened, secretly feeling something was amiss.

Unlike Gu Xi, the Grand Knight was fully aware of Long-legged Edward’s status among the past kings.

If something happened to Long-legged Edward’s remains, it would be a big deal for Britain.

He hurriedly collected Long-legged Edward’s two burial items and quickly ran towards Long-legged Edward’s tomb.

As for Gu Xi, right after completing the task, the rewards followed.

[You have completed the dungeon quest: King’s Treasure.]

[Dungeon Quest: King’s Treasure]

[Quest Description: From inside the Westminster Cathedral Cemetery, find and retrieve the burial items originally belonging to past kings.]

[Quest Requirement: Retrieve at least two burial items (2/2)]

[Quest Reward: Longbowman Set (Transformation).]

[Description: Long-legged Edward is most famous for establishing the Longbowmen and participating in a Crusade, and you seem more like the Longbowmen he usually used.]

With the task completion prompt appearing, a card-like item appeared in Gu Xi’s hand.

The card depicted a Longbowman holding a longbow taller than a person, wearing a green cloak and a hood covering their head, with their face painted in green and black stripes.

Gu Xi turned this card over.

He discovered there were transformation slots on the back.

This time, the Longbowman Set could transform weapons, cloaks, chest armor, and helmets into four positions. If all four pieces of equipment were transformed, the transformer would use transformed combat effects during battle.

For example, if Gu Xi were a Death Witch Lord holding an Illusion Magic Wand, after a full set transformation, others would see him as a Longbowman.

And when using magic, his motions would resemble a Longbowman drawing a bow and nocking an arrow.

Such attacking motions are highly deceptive.

Looking through the card in front of him, Gu Xi couldn’t help but smile.

The Phantom Shooter Gu Xi has arrived!
