Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 854: Chapter 852: The Number Three Boss Courting Death (Subscription Requested)

Causing great trouble refers to the infamous third BOSS of the Westminster Cathedral incident, Mind Controller Xiao Song.

He is considered a half Undead Mage and also a brainwasher for the Cultists.

Unlike the previous Gatekeeper and Celestial Destiny Tree Man, his abilities are more diverse.

He possesses the ability to control other people’s minds, making them fight like the Undead, and also has the skills of an Undead Mage, reviving corpses to fight for him.

But his true strength lies in using Undead and Mind Type spells to deceive and intimidate his enemies, wearing down their will until they meet their demise.

It can be said that his methods are unique even among the Cultists.

The average person has no idea of his capabilities, assuming he possesses both magic and martial skills, not realizing that he works through deception.

To ensure his combat style remains hidden, he adheres to the rule that anyone who witnesses his actions must die.

Thus, when enemies appear, he releases his treasure, the Death Arena, trapping the enemies within a confined space.

Support from outside cannot enter, nor can they see his methods.

The enemies inside cannot escape.

Even if they fall in battle, their bodies become part of his Undead ranks.

No one can expose his secrets.

But he didn’t expect Gu Xi’s two hero subordinates to arrive first.

When they arrived, they didn’t attack the BOSS directly but first cleared the cemetery of nearby minions.

All these minions were part of Mind Controller Xiao Song’s semi-Undead Corps.

They were all Cultists, brainwashed by Mind Controller Xiao Song to believe they gained tremendous power, when in reality, their bodies were slowly undergoing Undead Transformation.

Simultaneously, their minds acted as bases for Mind Controller Xiao Song, allowing him to quickly grasp the surroundings and implement different strategies, potentially influencing others through these minions’ minds.

Previously, the invading enemies were often few in number; even if they managed to kill some minions, they soon found themselves surrounded and eventually trapped in the Mental Illusion Realm.

But this time, Gu Xi sent two heroes.

The Bone-Slaying Camp was already a large force, with Commander Lin micro-managing his troops to perfection.

They favored battles against large numbers of enemies.

In their eyes, this was an opportunity for their troops to Upgrade.

Hence, the two immediately led their troops to slay the minions.

The forces they brought were sufficient, and with the intent to clear the minions.

A considerable number of minions were swiftly killed.

This forced Mind Controller Xiao Song, who was originally waiting for the enemies to come to him, to activate his Death Arena ahead of schedule.

At this moment, Gu Xi happened to enter the attack range of the Death Arena with part of his subordinates.

Seeing the changing sky, Gu Xi murmured to himself.

”The enemy is strong; I just arrived, and he immediately activated it. He must have been watching me.”

This realization made Gu Xi more cautious. He didn’t rush into the cemetery but stopped in front of it, releasing the Garrison Gate and the Soul Summoning Tower.

After deploying his tools, Gu Xi turned towards the enemy’s direction.

As soon as he looked that way, he felt his vision blur, and the Equipment Carrier of the Spirit Lamp appeared before him.

Gu Xi felt a bit puzzled but quickly understood the situation.

The enemy had used Psychic Power.

However, Gu Xi’s usual Flame Heart Protection was fully applied against Mind Magic effects.

So even if the enemy utilized Psychic Power, he himself wouldn’t feel a thing.

But the Equipment Carrier of the Spirit Lamp was different; he was highly sensitive to Psychic Power. As soon as he sensed its use, he jumped out to protect Gu Xi.

Upon realizing someone had used Psychic Power, Gu Xi couldn’t help but smile.

What kind of person is this, charging straight ahead recklessly?

Aren’t they courting death?

With this thought, Gu Xi rolled his eyes at first and then swiftly took action.

Even after discovering the enemy’s weakness, Gu Xi didn’t let his guard down.

At that moment, Gu Xi released all his Bone Dragons, Ghost Dragons, and Ghost Dragons.

To deal with Mind Type enemies, powerful Undead are the best choice.

Undead themselves are mostly resistant to Mind Magic. Furthermore, if the Undead are much stronger than the enemy, the enemy’s mental abilities will significantly weaken.

They might even be completely ignored.

Among the Bone Dragons Gu Xi released was a 19-Level Double-headed Bone Dragon.

This was essentially the ultimate nemesis for enemies using Psychic Power.

The Undead not only have high Levels but two heads as well.

Even if one head gets mind-controlled, the other can still follow orders.

There is no need to worry about being affected.

As Gu Xi expected, once the Double-headed Bone Dragon flew out, it circled in the air and immediately charged towards the depths of the cemetery.

Following behind the Double-headed Bone Dragon were the Ghost Dragons and Ghost Dragons, needing no commands from Gu Xi as they locked onto the enemy.

Xiao Song, the Mind Controller, hadn’t anticipated his enemy to charge in before he could act.

So, in an instant, he slapped forward.

Pressing both hands on the ground as if pulling something out, he shouted loudly.

”I am the Hammer of Scotland!”

From beneath his shout, a corpse stood up from underground.

Wearing a Golden Crown, under which was a chainmail hood, a Red Cloak draped across its body, exuding a scent of aromatic spices.

As it rose, a Longsword was gripped in its hand.

It was clear the Golden Crown above its head and the Longsword in its hand were the burial items of this corpse.

Upon hearing Mind Controller Xiao Song’s words, Gu Xi was momentarily stunned.

Hammer of Scotland?

Who is that?

In truth, Gu Xi didn’t know that this Hammer of Scotland was Long-legged Edward.

The one who brought the Celestial Destiny Stone from Scotland to Victoria City.

The Cultists had thoroughly planned everything.

On the Celestial Destiny Tree Man’s side, they secured the Celestial Destiny Stone, while Mind Controller Xiao Song controlled Long-legged Edward’s corpse.

Later on, they arranged for a member with Long-legged Edward’s lineage to ascend the throne at Westminster Cathedral, ensuring the British Crown’s succession.

Then, utilizing the King of Britain’s authority to conduct a Blood Sacrifice, they would open the Mirror Image Underground Palace to release the Great Monarch.

Everything was simple that way.

But then Gu Xi arrived, causing the scenario to veer onto a completely unexpected path.
