Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 858: Chapter 856: The Mad Boss

After transforming himself, Gu Xi proudly stood on the Holy Silver Evil Coffin and quickly proceeded towards the direction of Westminster Cathedral’s rear courtyard.

At this moment, Gu Xi finally understood why there were two paths initially.

This rear courtyard of Westminster Cathedral is not located behind the front hall but is situated on the eastern side of the cathedral.

It is just separated from the Westminster Cathedral Cemetery, each on one side of the cathedral.

No matter where Gu Xi goes, he can always reach the passage at the very back that leads underground.

Of course, entering underground is not as simple as just wanting to go in.

If he cannot find a suitable passage, he must defeat the four BOSSes at the front to go down.

This time, Gu Xi’s goal is to tackle the major event instance of Westminster Cathedral head-on.

So, he didn’t have the intention to use the passage he discovered earlier.

Glancing at the path already opened, Gu Xi quickly headed towards the rear courtyard of Westminster Cathedral.

As the rear courtyard of Westminster Cathedral, this place is actually a chapel, with walls around the chapel full of niches, holding a total of 95 statues.

These statues are of the kings and heroes from Britain’s history.

Additionally, outside the chapel, there are many monuments for musicians and scientists.

When Gu Xi walked through here, he felt like he was walking underwater; every step forward was met with immense resistance.

This feeling made Gu Xi quite uncomfortable.

Were it not necessary to defeat the fourth BOSS, he might even feel inclined to avoid this place.

Fortunately, the distance is not too long, and soon Gu Xi stepped into Westminster Cathedral’s rear courtyard.

After entering this building, about the same size as the front hall, the oppressive aura finally dissipated.

At this moment, Gu Xi also noticed something peculiar; unlike the front hall, the rear courtyard of Westminster Cathedral did not contain many affected soldiers.

At the deepest part of the chapel, a cultist wearing a gray robe was sitting on the floor, using a cloth, indiscernible in color, to polish the nearest statue.

When he saw Gu Xi entering, this cultist stood up.

”You carry the scent of corpses, it seems you just came from the cemetery. I was wondering why you were so delayed, since the Celestial Destiny Stone shattered, I’ve been waiting here.

In the end, you dragged it out this long, now you’ve missed your chance to kill me.”

As the cultist spoke, his voice was like the wind blowing over stones.

”Had you come when the Celestial Destiny Stone was destroyed, just after I’d absorbed the wills left by artists and scientists outside, you might’ve had a chance.

Now I’ve absorbed the stories left by generations of kings and heroes here, you stand no chance.

After you’re dead, remember that you’ve been killed by the statue maker, artist, scientist, and historian Alexander, Alexander George Constantin Doni.”

Listening to the words from the person before him, Gu Xi’s gaze didn’t change at all.

He realized that this person before him was merely a Level 10 BOSS; if converted to combat power, he could at most defeat three Level 13 enemies alone.

If Gu Xi were in a standard five-person squad, it might be a tough fight.

Because he had wasted too much time along the way.

But Gu Xi was far beyond a mere five-person squad; he could deploy a large number of troops anytime, and these troops included many entities above Level 15, so he didn’t pay any attention to such a Level 10 BOSS.

However, Gu Xi didn’t underestimate the enemy. This guy, claiming to be Alexander George Constantin Doni, was laughing confidently; surely there was something amiss.

So, Gu Xi simply waved his hand, sending his forces swiftly forward.

At this moment, marching with Gu Xi into Westminster Cathedral’s rear courtyard were Commander Lin and Robbie’s troops, along with the various high-tier species with Gu Xi.

But given the situation, Gu Xi’s Commander Lin and Robbie entering had no use.

So, Gu Xi waved his hand, letting all his Bone Dragons, Ghost Dragons, and Ghost Dragons, in addition to Bone Titan and Isabella, step forward.

While Commander Lin and Robbie retreated outside Westminster Cathedral’s rear courtyard, making preparations for defense.

In their view, Gu Xi defeating the BOSS inside was a breeze, their task now was to prevent disturbances to Gu Xi during his battle.

But Alexander saw it differently; when Commander Lin and Robbie withdrew, he instantly realized Gu Xi was setting up an ideal battlefield for himself.

Gu Xi doing this meant he was either foolish or confident enough to believe he could defeat him.

Upon seeing the flying Ghost Dragons, Alexander understood the enemy was confident.

But he also had his confidence; Alexander took a step forward, launching a punch directly.

As Alexander attacked with this punch, a plethora of statue shadows emerged behind him, mimicking his movements as they punched.

Upon seeing this attack incoming, Gu Xi pointed the Illusion Magic Wand at the ground.

”Flame Storm!”

As Gu Xi unleashed the Flame Storm, Alexander perceived Gu Xi opening a bow and aiming an arrow at him.

This motion provoked considerable disdain in Alexander.

Ah, just a Longbowman, nothing to fear; such attacks from a Longbowman can easily be dodged without much destructive power.

Once he had dealt with the Bone Dragons ahead, he could turn around to tackle the Longbowman who couldn’t engage in close combat.

Thus, Alexander didn’t think much, charging forward several steps.

As his punch was about to smash onto a Ghost Dragon’s head, he suddenly sensed something was wrong.

What were the sparks flashing across his skin, why did it seem like he was engulfed in flames?

At this moment, a black man with only his Longsword in normal color dashed out, his movement akin to Heavy Cavalry reaching the optimal speed, crashing into Alexander head-on.

Then a bolt of lightning descended, striking Alexander, followed by the Dragon Breath from the Ghost Dragons from the rear.

Due to Westminster Cathedral’s rear courtyard size, the Ghost Dragons couldn’t swarm Alexander simultaneously; they could only take turns lowering their heads, unleashing Dragon Breath onto Alexander.

These Dragon Breaths mixed within the Flame Storm continuously tore at Alexander’s gray skin, eventually ripping his skin into different colors.
