Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 894: Chapter 892: The Entire Army Sets Out

The best strategies are often the simplest and most practical ones.

Gu Xi’s idea is very simple: the enemies are already attacking, so let’s separate and deal with them.

Gu Xi’s forces are strong enough to handle cannon fodder below Level 8, so let the heroes manage that while he focuses on enemies around Level 10.

With Gu Xi’s Professional Talent, every time he kills an enemy, one Level 10 soldier joins him.

If he kills 4,000 enemies, he’ll have a number of Level 10 soldiers equal to the enemy.

After all enemies are defeated, Gu Xi will have 8,000 soldiers above Level 10.

As long as he holds out at the beginning, Gu Xi won’t lose this battle.

With this mindset, Gu Xi naturally brought his strongest troops, including Ghost Dragons, Double-headed Bone Dragons, Ghost Dragons, Bone Titans, Bone Armor Centipedes, and over a hundred Hellhounds, all above Level 10.

Adding the White Robed Iron Cavalry retreating from Amirka and the newly arrived Wangxiang Militia, the total force is only about seven hundred people.

Looking at the troops behind him, Gu Xi felt no fear. He believed in his skills and the combat power of his troops.

He won’t lose this battle.

Apart from Gu Xi’s team, all of Yalidu City’s forces above Level 6 were gathered.

Except for the two Tree-men and the departed Di Mi and Amirka, most heroes arrived nearby.

Looking at those heroes, especially the ones just won in this dungeon battle, Gu Xi calmly said:

”Some of you have fought a dungeon with me, while others I’ve just met, and I haven’t even seen your Attributes.

So this time is your best chance to show yourselves.

Over twenty thousand enemies at Level 8 aren’t too strong; our forces in Yalidov City could stand against them one-on-one and still have surplus.

So show your skills.

Heroes can self-organize, choose your Bosses and Soldiers, or team up to fight together.

Use whatever means you need, just defeat the enemy.

Whoever kills the most enemies will naturally be heavily used in the future.

Additionally, all gains from this battle, whether weapons, Deceitful Energy Pearls, or other supplies, will go to you. I won’t keep any of it.

If anyone can defeat all enemies, I have a special reward for them.

Look at this, the Black Dragon Camp Battle Banner.

The hero with the highest achievements can take this banner, establish the Black Dragon Camp, and receive the Black Dragon Camp Commander designation.”

Gu Xi displayed the Black Dragon Camp Battle Banner, then planted it into the ground.

Listening to Gu Xi, all the Undead Heroes looked at the Black Dragon Camp Battle Banner, even Lewis, previously sidelined by Gu Xi, was shining with interest.

Clearly, it sparked his thoughts too.

Lewis understood that as Gu Xi gained more heroes, those less powerful or without Traits would gradually become mere tools.

If it continued, he might become so marginalized that he wouldn’t even be used as a tool.

Only in battles like this can Lewis seize a slim chance by showing good performance.

With this in mind, Lewis turned his attention to the nearby Undead Boss.

Whether he can kill more enemies depends on gaining recognition from more Undead Bosses.

Without cooperation from the Undead Bosses, charging into battle might yield nothing.

Lewis stealthily moved towards the Undead Soldiers, trying to communicate and connect with some promising Undead Bosses.

Seeing Lewis in action, other Undead Heroes followed suit.

Meanwhile, Gu Xi turned and called out to Brave Fight.

”Brave Fight, follow me, let’s go!”

Hearing Gu Xi’s words, Brave Fight immediately gathered his Demon Sacrifice Camp, quickly following behind Gu Xi.

Nearby, Robbie and Arroyo glanced, hesitating whether to follow.

But ultimately, they didn’t move.

Soon, these heroes self-organized into teams, swiftly following Gu Xi’s group out of the Garrison Gate, into the wild outside the Mirror Image Underground Palace.

Upon entering the wilderness, Gu Xi realized obvious signs of clearing here.

This is actually due to the barracks’ daily conquest tasks, with a majority near this area.

These tasks easily cleared most potential enemies in the area.

Throughout the journey, Gu Xi and his team traveled quite easily.

After traveling over a hundred miles, Gu Xi happened to meet Shaya, returning with reconnaissance.

Gu Xi noticed behind Shaya, some troops resembling thieves.

With no inquiry about these soldiers’ origins, Gu Xi stood on the Holy Silver Evil Coffin and signaled to Shaya.

”Master.”

”You arrived just in time. How’s the situation there?”

Seeing Shaya, Gu Xi felt more at ease.

Regardless of combat power, Shaya never disappointed Gu Xi in intelligence matters.

This time was no different.

Upon Gu Xi’s inquiry, Shaya quickly reported her findings.

These details were far more comprehensive than those given by Eldest Princess Anna.

She not only identified enemy numbers, corresponding Levels, troop types, and some special intelligence.

Like, the number of heroes with the enemy, their advancement method, logistics situation, and quantity of weapons and equipment, etc.

Shaya gathered all these details.

Gu Xi listened intently.

During his communications with the White Immortal earlier, Gu Xi learned quite a bit about command basics.

Understanding that victory often lies in the details.

Thus, he listened thoroughly and carefully.

Within Shaya’s description, Gu Xi noticed an observation.

The enemies this time didn’t resemble in-game troops but instead seemed like a regular army.

Gu Xi formed this judgment because the troops, during their march, didn’t wear all their armor and equipment.

They utilized vehicles for transporting armor, tents, and food intended to be carried.

Only scouts and protective units were fully armed.

These teams wouldn’t maintain this form throughout the march, swapping personnel about every fifty miles.

Clearly, they were a military that halted near the enemy to prepare for battle.
