While Gu Xi was contemplating this matter, Amirka had already led the troops out of the city.

Gu Xi also rushed to the city center of the new era Yalidu City as soon as possible.

This was not the place they initially entered the city; instead, after occupying Yalidu City, this was the true city center. This spot was still a distance from the river, but closer to the area that used to belong to the Lettuce Duchy.

Because all the buildings had been demolished, it looked desolate here.

Only a full-length mirror with a golden thread border stood on the open ground.

When Gu Xi arrived, all the undead busying themselves there paused for a moment.

But they quickly went back to work. These undead were only at levels 1 to 3, comprising skeletons, zombies, and ghosts.

They were doing laborious tasks but at a remarkable speed. Even though no one was directing them, they worked with considerable orderliness, with so many undead moving back and forth without blocking the way due to the busyness.

It was as if they all knew the exact pace at which to work and tasks to do.

As Gu Xi jumped down from the Holy Silver Evil Coffin, Luna noticed his arrival.

She immediately came forward.

”Sir.”

”How are the current circumstances?”

Gu Xi didn’t stand on ceremony with Luna and asked right away.

Luna extended her hand, and a mirror appeared in front of Gu Xi.

Gu Xi realized that this mirror clearly showed the state of the entire Yalidu City.

This wasn’t just one era of Yalidu City; it encompassed all three periods, the Mysterious Mirror Image Space, Yalidovi Tower, and the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

The scenes even shifted according to Gu Xi’s line of sight.

Possessing this ability greatly facilitated Luna’s control over the entire Yalidu City.

Projecting the image above the current era of Yalidu City, Luna explained to Gu Xi.

”I’ve set up many mirrors throughout the city, even in the sky, allowing me to see everything in Yalidu City.

There’s not much eeriness left in the city now, but due to the recent explosion, there’s an issue with the underground sewer.

In the sewer, there’s still a batch of Deceitful Shadows and anomalies, and it’s unlikely the barracks’ warfare missions can handle it.”

Gu Xi pondered, ”Let’s put Lewis on the sewer issue, let him clean it up here, and have it be a form of waste utilization.

Also, bring over the Blind Swordsman and other troops accustomed to fighting in sewers, seal off the sewer entrances and exits to prevent any escapes.”

”Okay, I’ll arrange this matter. Also, there are apparent enemies around the city’s perimeter. The personnel we sent to scout haven’t returned, but based on the intelligence gathered so far.

Yalidu City is not the sole existence of the Mirror Image Underground Palace.”

”I know, that explosion just now came from the Westminster Cathedral’s mirror side.”

Gu Xi naturally was aware of the situation in the Mirror Image Underground Palace.

In fact, Gu Xi had long known about this. Back then, those Holy Knights had carried the body of Eldest Princess Anna from Westminster Cathedral’s mirror.

Since then, Gu Xi had been strengthening Yalidu’s defense power.

Even after discovering other periods of Yalidu City, Gu Xi did not act recklessly, guarding against sudden external attacks.

The barracks constantly had external warfare missions, partly to train the city’s soldiers, and partly to prevent an external army from emerging.

Given the current state of this era’s Yalidu City, Gu Xi had much to say.

As for other places, Gu Xi currently didn’t have time to attack nor knowledge of what’s nearby.

”So we need to first build the city wall and city gate. The wall is simple; there’s plenty of bricks, stones, and wood here, and the few architects have some skills. Building the wall shouldn’t be a problem.

But the city gate is difficult.

As a Death City, all Yalidu City’s gates have projection effects.

I tried before, we can reuse the other architectural design plans in our hands multiple times, but there’s no way with the city gate. Though there’s no restriction, they’re all affected.”

”I just obtained something, the Gate of the Underworld.

I originally planned to place it in the main city district, but given the current situation, this area needs defense too, so I’ll build the city gate now.”

Gu Xi thought for a moment, recalling the newly acquired Netherworld Transformation Teleportation Gate.

But at this moment, a thought flashed in Gu Xi’s mind.

He had items capable of upgrading Blue Armor to Purple Armor; should he upgrade the Netherworld Transformation Teleportation Gate to see what the upgraded Gate of the Underworld would look like?

If the upgraded Gate of the Underworld were high enough level, he could leave some Hellhounds here to serve as gatekeepers.

With this thought, Gu Xi quickly rummaged through his items, but after a lengthy search, he only found one Ice Crystal.

This somewhat embarrassed Gu Xi.

As Gu Xi’s primary Contracted Undead, Luna certainly knew what Gu Xi was pondering.

She smiled and said, ”Sir, this place is relatively close to Westminster Cathedral. If possible, I think it’s best to set up city gates with limited battlefield utility here.

This way, the gate won’t be dragged onto the battlefield often.

It can be specifically for defense against enemies here.”

”Alright, I’ll build the Gate of the Underworld here first, and then find suitable city gate architectural design plans later.

By the way, while the city gate can’t be rebuilt, what about the Soul Summoning Tower?”

”The Soul Summoning Tower is a core building, so there’s no restriction, but our core tower’s attributes aren’t great. If we could find other architectural design plans for summoning towers, it would benefit us more.”

At this moment, Gu Xi suddenly thought of the rewards he’d obtained in the latest instance, taking out various Building Stones.

Among them was a Mutated Stone for core buildings, specifically for core structure modifications.

Gu Xi took these items out.

Anyway, Yalidu City was entrusted to Luna to manage; these items ultimately end in her hands, so it’s best to seize this chance to see if anything was immediately useful.

Luna now stepped forward to make her selections.

At this moment, the Lord of Mercury, Anna, who had been with Gu Xi, looked up.
