Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 100: Chapter 98: Harvest

Gu Xi pointed towards the direction of the Walrus Tomb, and the Death Incarnation charged forward.

Then, Gu Xi didn’t bother to check the situation over there; he turned around and stepped onto the Evil Coffin, arriving at the body of the man.

It was only then that Gu Xi truly saw the condition of the man before him.

Although the man tried hard to appear more alive, Gu Xi could tell at a glance that the body in front of him had been dead for a long time.

The bones of the corpse had already turned stiff from the cold and, even after being bitten into two pieces by the Death Incarnation, little blood flowed out.

Meanwhile, the skin on him, because it was skinned from others and went through some special treatment when sewn on, didn’t appear ashen as dead skin; instead, it looked somewhat lively.

However, this liveliness appeared somewhat eerie on a half-body.

Faced with such an enemy, Gu Xi had no choice but to handle it himself. He quickly rummaged over the Other Ghost man’s body, finally tearing off a piece of tattoo from his back.

[You have picked up Undigested Blood Tattoo (Green) *2]

[Undigested Blood Tattoo (Green): Blood tattoos are a habit of the Blood Hunter Demons. They tend to turn their slain enemies into tattoos on themselves, allowing them to borrow the power of their prey during battles.

Some target Blood Hunter Demons, sewing the Blood Hunter Demons’ tattoos onto their own skin to enhance their combat power.

It can be sewn onto Undead skin to provide a certain attribute boost, with attributes based on the tattoo’s condition.]

This seems good enough.

Gu Xi smiled happily; just a piece of tattoo like that counted as two, and the corpse was covered with quite a few tattoos.

However, Gu Xi felt somewhat disappointed when he searched the Other Ghost man for a while longer and found nothing more.

All other tattoo powers had been digested and couldn’t be skinned off.

Feeling helpless, Gu Xi could only turn his attention to the three pieces of equipment on the Other Ghost man.

The first thing that caught Gu Xi’s eye was the pink brain-like oil lamp.

This item was always carried by the Other Ghost man, and when he tried to counterattack earlier, he used this oil lamp first.

As soon as Gu Xi picked up the oil lamp, a voice sounded in his ears.

[You have picked up Spirit Lamp (Blue) *1]

[Spirit Lamp (Blue, Off-Hand Item)]

[Defense: 4]

[Equip: Intelligence +5]

[Equipment Requirement: Intelligence 3]

[Special 1: Enchanting, hypnotize an enemy, making them act according to your will for five minutes (Note, the stronger the enemy, the stronger the resistance, but as long as it’s a living being, it will be hypnotized).]

[Special 2: Spirit Flame, ignite an enemy, using their spirit and body as fuel to burn (once ignited, unless the enemy dies, the spirit flame cannot be extinguished).]

[Description: Do you guess whether this pink brain is sweet or savory?]

Holding the Spirit Lamp, Gu Xi felt an overwhelming clarity in his mind, as if many things he couldn’t grasp suddenly became clear.

Gu Xi actually understood that this was just the illusion of enhanced intelligence.

Once the time passed, what he didn’t understand would remain unclear, and what he couldn’t do in mathematics still wouldn’t make sense.

Nevertheless, the Spirit Lamp in front of him is a decent off-hand item, especially fitting for a Mage to use.

Not to mention, the 5 points of intelligence would greatly increase Gu Xi’s mana.

This discovery made Gu Xi quite happy; where there’s one, there’s bound to be two. Since the Other Ghost man carried such a good item in his hand, the main hand weapon must be even better.

This scythe was what had been used before, Gu Xi had seen it from afar during the battle.

Now, Gu Xi naturally wanted to find that scythe.

But what Gu Xi didn’t expect was that the Other Ghost man used the scythe to resist the Death Incarnation’s Death Dragon Breath for three seconds, and now this scythe had already broken in two pieces.

[You have obtained Broken Scythe Fragment (Gray) *1]

[Broken Scythe Fragment (Gray): This was once a powerful weapon that had slain many strong beings, originally of blue +5 quality, but it broke under the impact of a stronger force, now only a small fragment remains, but still a good material for making equipment.]

Staring at the description, Gu Xi paused for a moment. It seemed he recalled encountering similar information somewhere before.

Gu Xi thought carefully; wasn’t this just like the Corrupted Skull he had gotten while riding the steam bus in Victoria City?

It seems even this kind of damaged junk might be worth salvaging.

Moved by this, Gu Xi considered that after completing this mission, he would find someone knowledgeable to see if a better weapon could be crafted.

After all, the description said that the scythe’s original quality had risen to blue +5, and perhaps through some reconstruction, it could regain some quality.

Keeping the scythe fragment, Gu Xi looked around again.

Finally, his gaze fell on the baboon skin the Other Ghost man had draped on himself at the start.

This piqued Gu Xi’s curiosity. He picked up the baboon skin, which had been thrown quite far, and as soon as he held it, his mouth fell open. He didn’t expect to come across such a situation in his first battle.

[You have obtained White Baboon Skin (Green)]

[White Baboon Skin (Green, Identity Badge): A cloak of a special Other Ghost organization, wearing this white baboon skin allows you to impersonate a member of this Other Ghost organization.]

[Note: After putting on the white baboon skin, you’ll be influenced by certain external forces, and if worn for too long, you might be assimilated into the Other Ghost organization.]

Seeing this, Gu Xi couldn’t help but think, could this special Other Ghost organization be this world’s invading Undead organization?

If that’s the case, Gu Xi may have discovered a lead on the enemy.

It’s an opportunity to make great achievements!

Thinking of this, Gu Xi immediately thought about sending this white baboon skin back.

But after considering his mission, Gu Xi temporarily set aside his thoughts.

His mission was to send the main force to the Scattered Immortal Garden; missing the timing would be a significant issue.

Besides, in the Scattered Immortal Garden, there will definitely be other players from the Chaoyang Radiance Guild; he could just tell them about this matter then.

With this in mind, Gu Xi stopped dwelling on it; he put away the white baboon skin and turned his attention back to the battle between the Death Incarnation and the Walrus Tomb.

As soon as Gu Xi turned his head, his vision blurred, followed by a loud crash as something heavy landed right in front of him.
