Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 101: Chapter 99: Discoveries in Battle

The Evil Coffin was faster to react than Gu Xi. As soon as the black fog rose, it glided more than thirty meters away, just avoiding the spot where that thing was about to crash down.

Only now did Gu Xi see clearly what it was. It turned out that what had crashed down was actually the gigantic form of the Walrus Tomb.

However, compared to the first leaping attack, the Walrus Tomb seemed to have been thrown here.

At the moment, the Walrus Tomb was struggling to flip itself over, trying to get up from the ice surface.

In the sky, the Death Incarnation soaring high gave the Walrus Tomb no chance to react. It transformed into a black fog with immense destructive power, plummeting down from the sky and crashing directly onto the Walrus Tomb.

With this impact, the originally quite thick ice surface was shattered, and both the Death Incarnation and the Walrus Tomb plunged into White Star Lake.

At this moment, Gu Xi was retreating continuously, withdrawing over sixty meters to finally be outside the range of the cracked ice surface.

While retreating, Gu Xi also noticed that as the battle escalated here, the destructiveness of the black fog formed by the Death Incarnation also grew stronger.

Wherever the black fog passed, all houses and ice surfaces were uplifted.

This was true even underwater.

Underwater, the black fog’s movement speed was no slower than on land. While moving, nearby water currents were pulled toward the black fog, affected by it.

If you looked closely at this time, you would find that the destruction caused by the black fog around it was not due to its corrosiveness, nor its strong impact force, but because the black fog itself formed a cyclone similar to a tornado.

These cyclones were the source of the destructive power.

Previously, when flying in the air, this wasn’t perceptible. Now underwater, it was clear to see.

The Walrus Tomb, thrust underwater, thought it could turn the tide using its underwater combat abilities.

Unexpectedly, the Death Incarnation was equally formidable underwater.

In the black fog, the Death Incarnation kept tearing into the Walrus Tomb’s body; despite its large size, the Walrus Tomb wasn’t robust, unlike the Death Incarnation, whose body was a Bone Dragon’s, harder than steel.

The Walrus Tomb’s attacks barely harmed the Death Incarnation but injured itself instead.

At that moment, the Death Incarnation released its control over the Walrus Tomb.

Standing in front of the ice hole observing the situation below, Gu Xi was taken aback. Just as he was about to give an order, Luna appeared beside him, bringing a chill.

”What do you mean?”

Seeing Luna arrive, Gu Xi understood the situation here.

Luna nodded, ”That walrus-like monster is in a situation similar to mine, both converted after dying as spirit bodies of a particular land. I turned into a Ghost, and it turned into a Zombie.

I want to find the location of its main body. If possible, we can gain another piece of land.”

After listening to Luna, Gu Xi glanced at the Death Incarnation battling underwater. ”You have only half an hour. Where are the Bone-Slaying Camp people? Are they idle? Quickly come over to clean the battlefield, see if there are any living Walrus People in the houses.”

Under Gu Xi’s orders, the Skeleton Soldiers previously released turned back into hard labor. They charged into the houses in White Star Lake in search of various materials.

For the Skeleton Soldiers, anything they could carry was considered usable materials.

In this White Star Lake, the most abundant items were all kinds of dried fish and salted fish, followed by bone weapons and animal hides.

Lastly, there were scattered crystals and gems.

This situation surprised Gu Xi, knowing that the map mentioned White Star Lake as a primary producer of crystals and gems.

This is it?

Gu Xi was speechless.

However, since these were benefits to be picked up for free, Gu Xi couldn’t refuse. So, he moved the gate of Yalidu City nearby, facilitating the Skeleton Soldiers in transporting goods.

With the city gate moved closer, Gu Xi noticed that after emptying the stocks in White Star Lake, the Skeleton Soldiers began dismantling houses.

This was unexpected for Gu Xi, and he also hadn’t expected these houses to be made of high-quality wood, important building materials.

Such a discovery made Gu Xi quite happy. Even without getting much in gems and crystals, the wood was considered a decent haul.

At this moment, Luna, who had been observing the underwater battle, suddenly spoke.

”Found it.”

Gu Xi gave Luna a glance, quickly joined her side, and following Luna’s gaze, saw that the underwater battle was nearing its end.

The Walrus Tomb was being relentlessly pushed back and forth underwater by the Death Incarnation, stirring up the mud at the lake bottom.

Meanwhile, in this repeated stirring, the Walrus Graveyard was found by the Death Incarnation, and many walrus corpses were dug up along with the mud.

The walruses buried here were all old, sensing their impending death. Their bodies had reached the walrus’s limit, at least three to five meters long.

When buried in the lake, their skin, flesh, and fat had dissolved, leaving only white bones.

However, the walrus people’s bones were quite famous, and with the walrus’s blood and fat mixed in the mud after death nourishing these bones, those dug-up were white as jade, of high quality.

Seeing these skeletons exposed, Luna glanced back at Gu Xi.

Gu Xi immediately understood Luna’s intention. Once more, the gate of Yalidu City shifted direction, this time appearing directly at the lakebed.

Taking advantage of this, Luna jumped into the lake, beginning the transfer of the walrus graveyard, a large piece of land.

Seeing Gu Xi and the others take action, the Death Incarnation knew there was no need to delay further. It twisted its head, biting heavily on the Walrus Tomb’s neck, shaking its body vigorously.

Each shake tore a chunk of flesh from the Walrus Tomb.

The Walrus Tomb wanted to struggle one last time, but it was too late. Under the Death Incarnation’s attack, the Walrus Tomb’s body was ultimately shredded into pieces.

At this time, Luna had also completed the capture of the Walrus Tomb’s soul and this walrus graveyard.

All the walrus skeletons underwater were sucked into the city gate, and then the Death Incarnation turned its body and disappeared in front of Gu Xi.

Thus, the battle ended.

”My lord, I’ll head back first. There are many things here that require my attention; once I’m done, I’ll report this harvest to you.”

Luna’s voice came to Gu Xi’s ear, and then he realized Luna had already vanished into the city gate.

At the same time, the sound of ice cracking came from White Star Lake’s surface.

Gu Xi shouted loudly, ”All units, retreat! Evil Coffin, let’s go!”
