Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 71: Chapter 69: Guild Experiences

”Guild Master, I’ve brought the person.”

While explaining some details about the Chaoyang Radiance Guild, Li Xinghui led Gu Xi to the guild’s grand council hall.

Before those inside could respond, the doors of the grand council hall were already opened.

Gu Xi noticed that the one opening the door was a yellow-furred weasel dressed in a black tailcoat, with a fierce expression on its face.

”This is the steward team under the Guild Master. The Guild Master’s studies are quite diverse, and previously he contracted a Fierce Weasel named Grandmaster Huang San as a Contracted Undead. Now, all the stewards in the guild headquarters are descendants of Grandmaster Huang San.

Their abilities are quite good, far better than that of those so-called household elves. If you have any issues, just find them directly.”

While speaking, Gu Xi and Li Xinghui arrived in a smaller room behind the grand council hall.

The Guild Master of Chaoyang Radiance Guild was waiting for Gu Xi’s arrival in the small room.

Upon seeing the Guild Master, Gu Xi was a bit stunned. He had imagined various forms for the Guild Master, from a skeleton head to all sorts of unconventional appearances on his journey here.

But Gu Xi never expected the Guild Master to exude an immortal and ethereal appearance.

His white hair was tied into a Daoist bun, with an ebony hairpin stuck at the top of his head.

He wore a white robe that emitted a faint white glow.

Upon seeing Gu Xi, the Guild Master nodded slightly at him.

”A good child, welcome to our Chaoyang Radiance Guild.”

”Thank you.”

Gu Xi extended his hand to shake with the Guild Master, and then there was nothing else for him to do here.

Next, Li Xinghui did not accompany Gu Xi further; instead, a Fierce Weasel steward accompanied him to complete the guild joining procedures, arrange a dormitory for Gu Xi, and fill out various forms and such.

Gu Xi had already done these things upon enrollment, and although there were some differences, most of it was just like that.

Gu Xi was quickly assigned to a 300-square-meter room.

The room was on the thirteenth floor, already fully furnished, so much so that he didn’t even need to carry any luggage. He could just move in directly.

The room had everything one might need: bedroom, dining room, bathroom, game room, study — anything you could think of was here.

And as long as the room’s door was closed, even other guild members couldn’t disturb the player’s rest.

Additionally, outside every room, there was a Fierce Weasel steward standing by, so if Gu Xi needed anything, he just had to let them know.

Within the guild, besides the equipment and materials needed by players, everything else was free.

After all, no matter how much one could eat or use, how much could it really cost?

After settling the accommodation, the Fierce Weasel steward began taking measurements for Gu Xi. The Chaoyang Radiance Guild had special battle suits and attire for various occasions, all of which were also given for free.

Even though Gu Xi was a newcomer, he still received these.

There were also some detailed arrangements, for example, Gu Xi reported that he had a personal game portal that could teleport him back to Victoria City.

There was also a designated teleportation zone; if it wasn’t something urgent, Gu Xi was advised to use this area when returning to Yalidov City.

After all, game safety issues still needed to be addressed.

Of course, if it was truly urgent, Gu Xi could access Yalidov City from his room.

However, upon returning, he needed to report the situation. Otherwise, if everyone started following his example, it wouldn’t be good.

After clarifying everything, Gu Xi was granted a ten-day vacation, after which he would join the new guild members in participating in their first world.

As for which world they would go to, that would depend on the arrangements in the next few days.

However, the Fierce Weasel who accompanied him mentioned that there was a good chance they would go to one of the three strategy worlds.

Gu Xi was familiar with the situation of the game worlds, as the worlds players could go to were primarily starting from temporary worlds or random worlds.

Temporary worlds are those that might only appear for a short time and disappear once conquered.

Generally, they require one or two players, lasting three days to three weeks, and they vanish once the players leave.

Random worlds are the ones like Gu Xi’s current trial; even after leaving, the world still exists but hasn’t been discovered by many, nor is there a fixed entrance.

Upon joining certain forces, players will also encounter other more advanced game worlds.

These game worlds focus mainly on pioneering, strategy, and garrisoning.

Pioneering is a completely new world, discovered and captured by the city, then assigned to different guilds for handling.

Often, pioneering a world requires considerable manpower and is quite dangerous, involving only the guild’s advanced players.

Strategy worlds are those that have been explored after pioneering, where the fundamental rules are known.

These worlds, having some strategies, are relatively safer and can be participated in by most guild players.

The last type is garrisoned worlds, which are entirely taken over by the guild and essentially become the guild’s private backyard.

Every so often, people are sent in to ”harvest” as needed, without deploying many members.

For newcomers like Gu Xi, no matter how strong he may be, he still needs to cooperate and assess his strength and compatibility, as well as his combat style and personality.

Being assigned to a strategy world is quite common, but receiving a ten-day vacation like Gu Xi was relatively rare.

Gu Xi speculates that this is partly to wait for a team of players whose strength matches his to join, and partly because his Death City still needs development, and at least the reward for the chief position needs to be digested.

Understanding this, Gu Xi, after confirming the schedule for the upcoming time, headed to the teleportation zone specifically allotted to him.

This teleportation zone was located at a distance from the login point, in a public area. While it wasn’t overly crowded, it wasn’t empty either.

Upon arrival, Gu Xi saw numerous members wearing the Chaoyang Radiance Guild’s uniform, with various undead following them.

However, Gu Xi noticed that no matter what profession these members were or what kind of undead followed them, they always remained clean and tidy, in stark contrast to the situation in Victoria City.

He truly liked this place.

Gu Xi looked up at the sun in the sky, had a thought, and stepped into Yalidov City.
