Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 69: Chapter 67: Other Rewards

The Chief Battle Banner and Champion Ring, these two items are a must-have.

After accepting these two items, the third Vampire girl behind Lu Yongchang came out with a tray.

On this tray was something resembling a parchment scroll.

”Gu Xi, your skill is Death City, so for this reward, we’ve prepared a piece of land that can be fused, to expand your Death City.

This is the land title. Once you open it in your Death City, it will automatically add one large plot, three medium-sized plots, and seven small-sized plots to your city.

Take this for now.”

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi knew that Lu Yongchang had put in a lot of effort to prepare the reward, and hurriedly stepped forward to receive the parchment scroll with both hands.

The moment he took the scroll, he heard a ’ding’ sound in his ear.

[Acquired Old City Ruins Title Deeds]

[Old City Ruins, covering an area of 0.85 square kilometers, uninhabited. After occupation, you can obtain 3 Abandoned Laboratories (large buildings, temporary copies, requiring combat, high danger level), 1 large plot, 3 medium plots, and 7 small plots]

Seeing the information that popped up in front of him, Gu Xi couldn’t help but be stunned for a moment.

The rest was manageable, but what’s up with the Abandoned Laboratories?

Why are there three of them, and why are they marked as dangerous?

While Gu Xi was lost in thought, a Vampire girl behind Lu Yongchang brought up another item.

At this moment, Gu Xi couldn’t worry about anything else and first put away the Old City Ruins Title Deeds, then turned his attention to the newly delivered item.

The item was a silver cloak, and when it was placed on the tray, light streams flowed over its surface.

”Undead Mage is a player who fights from behind the lines, take this Invisibility Cloak.

Because time was tight, we couldn’t find a good one, and this one has some flaws, but the grade has been enhanced, so you can use it for now. I’ll get you a better one next time you return.”

Hearing this, Gu Xi smiled, temporarily putting all his doubts aside.

This Invisibility Cloak was extremely important to Gu Xi.

The difference between one Divine Skill and two Divine Skills is something Gu Xi understands very well.

”Thank you, Dean.”

After expressing his gratitude, Gu Xi accepted the Invisibility Cloak.

The moment he took the Invisibility Cloak, Gu Xi frowned slightly.

This Invisibility Cloak also had issues.

[Acquired Silver Dragon Invisibility Cloak]

[Silver Dragon Invisibility Cloak (Purple): An Invisibility Cloak made from Silver Dragon Hide, its invisibility effect is equivalent to Level 5 Stealth. However, due to the Silver Dragon Hide, it’s not very friendly to Undead-type professions or creatures.]

Seeing this description, if Gu Xi didn’t realize he was being targeted, he would be truly foolish.

Someone doesn’t want him to properly receive his reward.

Thinking of this, Gu Xi instead laughed.

It’s not hard to guess, it’s either the work of Man Xuebo or the idea of the Vice Chairman of Steel Ghost Claw.

Gu Xi had gotten in their way.

”Thank you, Dean.”

”No problem, I thought you wouldn’t like it, but we could never find a good Invisibility Cloak. This is the only one we found in a short time.”

”No problem, I appreciate everything the Academy provides.”

Gu Xi was still very polite to Lu Yongchang.

”That’s good. Next is this, a Recruitment Order. With this, you can recruit 50 Skeleton Soldiers, 20 Zombies, and 10 Ghosts in the Academy, all are official units.”

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi asked with some confusion.

”Dean, isn’t this a bit much?”

”Not at all. According to normal standards, the Chief can recruit 40 Skeleton Soldiers, 15 Zombies, and 5 Ghosts, but the previous Recruitment Orders have already been issued. I can’t exactly ask them to return the Undead they took.

Even if they could return them, you wouldn’t dare accept them, right?

So, it’s easier to give you an upgrade, distributing according to the Teaching Assistant standard.

Take it, don’t worry, it’s what you deserve.”

”Alright.” Upon hearing this, Gu Xi decisively accepted.

However, he also knew that even if he went to recruit, he would only get the most ordinary Skeleton Soldiers, Zombies, and Ghosts. Thinking about getting Boss or Warrior Level, it was unlikely, and mutated professions or paths were even more impossible.

Even so, this greatly alleviated Gu Xi’s shortage of troops.

At least he could handle matters in the Pier District.

Gu Xi didn’t know that beneath the award podium, a young man about his age was glaring at him with clenched teeth.

”Song Sheng, relax, don’t show too much emotion.”

”Dad, it’s not fair, clearly I should be the one...”

”Alright, it’s just a Chief, don’t worry, he won’t last long. A dead genius isn’t a genius.”

Hearing his father’s words, the young man named Song Sheng finally relaxed a bit, and his gaze towards Gu Xi wasn’t as hateful anymore.

In just a few hours, his father, the Vice Chairman of Steel Ghost Claw, had already arranged the plan against Gu Xi.

Didn’t Gu Xi have Death City?

Then let’s send a land title that can expand the city.

But this land title has some issues. Originally, it was called the Old City Title Deeds, not the Old City Ruins Title Deeds.

The reason it became ruins is entirely because their people entered those three laboratories, unleashing what was inside.

Gu Xi thinks he can flaunt because he has a city, even being the Chief?

Let’s see how he handles all three laboratory doors being opened.

As for the Invisibility Cloak and Recruitment Order, they also had a hand in them.

The Invisibility Cloak carries the aura of the Silver Dragon. It can cloak him, but it makes Undead Mages uncomfortable, leading to possible slip-ups on the battlefield.

And the trick with the Recruitment Order was even simpler.

If they don’t give Gu Xi enough troops, how will he be enticed to open those three laboratories?

Only by getting Gu Xi involved with the laboratories can they destroy him.

Though if Gu Xi proves to be cautious, they have many methods to deal with him later.

Just like his father said, a dead genius is useless.

At this moment, Gu Xi was unaware of these plots.

After putting away the Recruitment Order, the last Vampire girl also walked up.

On her tray lay a white jade-like skull.

Upon seeing this skull, Gu Xi had the same feeling as when he first saw the Owl House.

”I thought you would recognize this, it’s a small personal gift from me, the blueprint of an Evil Temple. Now you’re considered the lord of a city, you need your own troops in the city.

No matter which path we Undead Mages take, some Skeleton Soldiers are essential. These Evil Temple blueprints have interesting features, you can use them well.”

Gu Xi accepted the white jade-like skull, hearing a ’ding’ in his ear once more.

[Acquired White Bone Evil Temple Blueprint (Large)]

[White Bone Evil Temple (Large): Using 1500 Resources, 10 units of Stone, 10 units of Wood to build a White Bone Evil Temple (Large Building) in the city.

Once built, you can train 30 Skeleton Soldiers each week.

If there are other Evil Temples, regional interaction will increase Skeleton Soldier training speed by 50%.]
