Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 75: Chapter 73: Three Divine Skills – Death Incarnation

Under Gu Xi’s command, all the Skeleton Soldiers dropped their weapons and each carried a bone, swiftly running in different directions.

The bones held by the Skeleton Soldiers still tried to gather in the center, but as the Skeleton Soldiers picked up speed, the struggle of the bones grew weaker.

Having lost a large number of bones, the Bone Dragon, even if it wanted to regroup, couldn’t find enough bones.

Thus, the negative energy nodes for the Bone Dragon’s regrouping were all exposed in front of Gu Xi and the others.

Gu Xi, Luna, and Shaya quickly targeted these nodes for attack.

Without the iron-hard bones of the Bone Dragon for defense, these nodes were essentially clusters of negative energy trying to gather together.

Both Gu Xi and Luna found it easy to destroy such a node.

To prevent the nodes from remaining intact, Gu Xi even threw flying knives at them.

However, Gu Xi quickly realized that each time a node was destroyed, the negative energy of these nodes would concentrate on the remaining ones, and as the nodes dwindled, the negative energy grew stronger. Some nodes even surpassed normal levels of life force.

Despite the three of them attacking, they found it impossible to directly destroy the last of these nodes.

Meanwhile, the Skeleton Soldiers running off with the Bone Dragon bones began to struggle with their load.

It’s conceivable that, once the Skeleton Soldiers’ grip slackens, these bones would fly back and reassemble into a Bone Dragon, rendering Gu Xi’s efforts in vain.

”Fall back.”

Gu Xi, with a quick thought, decisively issued the order.

Luna and Shaya cooperated seamlessly, and as they retreated, Luna gave the cluster of negative energy nodes a Touch of Frost, while Shaya delivered a Civilian Stun Stick.

As the trio retreated, Gu Xi pointed towards the corpses of fallen Skeleton Soldiers strewn on the ground.

”Corpse Burst!”

As Gu Xi unleashed a chain of Secondary Corpse Explosions, the bodies of the Skeleton Soldiers and their weapons exploded together, sending a shockwave that dispersed the clustered negative energy.

Seeing this, Gu Xi promptly threw out the Shattering Staff.

The Shattering Staff once again proved its worth.

The shattering function activated, turning the gathered negative energy into dust.

Looking at the negative energy fragments scattered all over, Gu Xi heard a ”ding” beside his ear.

[Ding! Killed the Death Incarnation, temporary task: Progress of the fairy tale Sacred Artifact completed, three Deathly Hallows gathered (3/3, completed), killed Death Incarnation (completed).]

[Task Reward: Undead Mage Professional Skill - Death Incarnation.]

[Death Incarnation Level 11 (3+8 levels), players can consume all their Mana to summon a Death Incarnation on the battlefield, whose level equals player’s level +8, with various traits at certain levels.]

[Note 1: Since the defeated Death Incarnation was Bone Dragon type, the summoned Death Incarnation will also be in Bone Dragon form, with the trait of Giant Creatures.]

[Note 2: Death Incarnation Level 11, comes with traits at levels 1, 5, and 9.]

[Note 3: If the player masters both Death Incarnation and Death City skills, a linked resonance can be triggered.]

As the on-screen information appeared, Gu Xi’s eyes lit up, and the Dragon Bones held by the Skeleton Soldiers ceased struggling, with no one attending to the negative energy on the ground.

At this moment, Gu Xi no longer cared about these matters, nor did he bother to retrieve the Shattering Staff, directly pointing at the ground.

”Death Incarnation!”

Following Gu Xi’s command, he felt all his Mana being completely drained.

Afterwards, a Bone Dragon made entirely of pitch-black bones appeared in front of Gu Xi.

This Bone Dragon was similar yet different from the one previously worn down by Gu Xi and the others.

The bones of this Bone Dragon were pure black, not the previous charred color, and its body was distinctly more ethereal.

As it took to the air, it seemed to stir up countless black mists, potentially tearing everything around it apart at any moment.

Gu Xi stepped forward for a closer look and understood the situation of this Bone Dragon.

[Name: Death Incarnation (Summoned Creatures)

Race: Bone Dragon Form

Level: 11 (0/0)

Talent: Rule Creatures (Upon death, can be resummoned by the player consuming all Mana)

Status (equivalent to twice that of the summoner): Life (820/820), Mana (1500/1500)

Attributes (equivalent to twice that of the summoner): Strength 10.4, Agility 8.6, Constitution 8.2, Intelligence 15, Perception 9.4, Charm 9.2

Skills: Death Dragon Breath (Bone Dragon Skill, once per day), Undead Creatures (Level 1 Trait, Undead Species, Flying Team, Giant Creatures), Curse Attack (Level 5 Trait, randomly inflicts a native curse during attack), No Physical Body (Level 9 Trait, equivalent to Ghost Constitution, has 75% chance to immune physical attacks)]

Looking at the Death Incarnation in front of him, even Gu Xi couldn’t help but draw a sharp breath.

He knew the Death Incarnation was powerful, but he never expected it to be so overwhelming.

With a 75% chance of immunity to physical attacks, it meant that most attacks were ineffective against the Death Incarnation.

Curse Attack suggested that the Death Incarnation would be even more troublesome for opponents.

As for Death Dragon Breath, Gu Xi recalled the green glow that had gathered in the Bone Dragon’s mouth earlier.

This once-daily grand move suggested only one thing, and that was immense power.

In an instant, Gu Xi obtained a formidable weapon for the battlefield.

Bear in mind that the president of the Bailian City small guild was roughly Level 10 in strength.

If Gu Xi wished, he could single-handedly clear out the Westminster Cathedral dungeon.

Controlling his excitement, Gu Xi returned his attention to the subsequent text.

[Discovered the Undead Mage Professional Skill - Death Incarnation and Death City, would you like to trigger a linked resonance?]

Though Gu Xi had not heard of this situation before, he understood it was definitely beneficial.

So Gu Xi decisively responded.

”Link!”

[Link successful, obtained one exclusive Architectural Design Plan (Large) for Death Incarnation.]

With this notification, Gu Xi noticed that in the mass of negative energy on the ground, a white piece of Dragon Bone had emerged.

Gu Xi hurried forward to pick up the Dragon Bone.

[Obtained the Longgu Laboratory Design Plan (Large)]

[Longgu Laboratory (Large): Utilizes 12,000 Resources, 10 units of Stone, 10 units of Wood, and 5 units of Mercury to construct a Longgu Laboratory (Large Building) in the city.

Once built, it can accommodate the Death Incarnation for rest and offer corresponding linked traits.

If existing buildings for producing Bone Dragons, Ghost Dragons, and Spectral Dragons are present, regional linkages can be formed, increasing production speed of all Undead Dragon Type units by +1.]
