The skeleton shooters stepped forward at Gu Xi’s command, their effective range was around one hundred and fifty meters.

Faced with the current situation, they needed to get closer to strike.

After arranging the skeleton shooters, Gu Xi then turned to Luna, ”Right, where were we just now?”

”We were talking about the soldiers sent into Yalidov,” Luna said, covering her mouth with a laugh, ”Those soldiers are alright, they’re all quite honest. Upon arriving at Yalidu City, they just stood in the square in front of the city gate, not moving at all.

It was the heroes and leaders among them who went to the tavern. Now the barmaid is delighted, having learned many useful things from those heroes and leaders.

Oh, the barmaid asked me to tell you this might be a suitable opportunity: with five thousand soldiers, all strong, if you’re willing, they could take over the other two areas of Yalidu City directly.

Even the Yaliduvi Tower could be taken down.”

”I’ve considered it, but it’s not time yet. I only have one chance to control this force in battle, and I’m not sure if anything will happen on the way.

We can only use this force to fight for us when we reach the Scattered Immortal Garden, at least close to it, and confirm there’s no trouble on the way.”

Gu Xi expressed his concerns and thoughts.

Luna was indeed eager to capture the old district of Yalidu City. After all, as an elf of Yalidu City, the larger the city’s territory, the stronger her level and strength would become.

However, she also understood that what Gu Xi said made sense.

Even though the strength of these five thousand soldiers is outrageously strong, they are ultimately not Gu Xi’s subordinates. Gu Xi only has one chance to deploy them.

Using them now could quickly capture Yalidu City.

But if Gu Xi encounters danger outside, that situation could become quite awkward.

Gu Xi has just arrived in this world, and he’s not sure what he might encounter.

At this moment, Luna nodded to Gu Xi.

Gu Xi understood that Luna agreed with his idea.

So Gu Xi turned his gaze back towards the battlefield not far away.

The more than three hundred wild wolves were almost all dead at this time. The wild wolves were strong in combat power, but they lost the advantage in the battle with the Bone-Slaying Camp.

Plus the appearance of the skeleton shooters struck down the wolves’ counterattack.

This deprived these wolves of their last chance to fight back.

Facing joint strikes from two kinds of skeleton soldiers, the wild wolves had no chance to resist at all and were easily killed on the spot.

As the number of wild wolves dwindled, Gu Xi stood up wrapped in a quilt and reached out towards the battlefield.

A large number of souls turned into blue light spots and flew into Gu Xi’s hands.

After grabbing these souls, Gu Xi turned to look at Luna.

Luna floated in the air, peeping at the battlefield, and finally shook her head at Gu Xi.

Gu Xi understood Luna’s meaning, these wild wolves had no need to be kept.

So Gu Xi flipped his hand, ”Soul Summoning Skill!”

The souls that had just landed in Gu Xi’s hands quickly flew out.

Accurately landing on all the wild wolves.

With each prompt sound, skeletons tore through the flesh of the wild wolves and crawled out one by one, while some corpse dogs with decayed skin also stood up.

This was the first time Gu Xi had converted undead soldiers that were not skeletons after using the Soul Summoning Skill.

This was quite understandable; after all, not all wild wolves could be expected to turn into skeletons. Turning into these corpse dogs instead would be more appropriate.

[Corpse Dog (Level 0, Summoned Creature): Experience (0/100) Attack 2, Defense 1, Life 15, Skills: Tracking.]

Though the number of these corpse dogs was not large, they were quite agile in movement. Gu Xi estimated that if they were to run outside, they could probably reach sixty kilometers per hour.

”Luna, take these corpse dogs back, see if they have any different abilities, also leave me four ghosts; they are fast and can keep up with the Evil Coffin. With them overseeing, I can relax a bit.”

Gu Xi did not hesitate too much; currently, these corpse dogs are not of much use in this world, mainly because they are low-level. At Level 0, with only 15 points of life, a slightly stronger wild wolf could bite them to death with a single bite.

Gu Xi did not expect them to serve much of a purpose; he just wanted to see if their skills might have any new effects.

After letting Luna lead the troops away, Gu Xi patted the Evil Coffin again.

The Evil Coffin automatically turned and headed toward the Scattered Immortal Garden.

This time, Gu Xi felt much safer along the way.

The more than three hundred wild wolves had tested Gu Xi with their lives, and in the end, all the beasts knew that Gu Xi was an undead mage they couldn’t afford to provoke.

At such times, rushing headlong towards him would be nothing more than giving away their heads.

Not to mention that there were four ghosts constantly circling above Gu Xi’s Evil Coffin; if there was any issue, the ghosts would discover it a hundred meters ahead and deal with it directly.

So along the way, Gu Xi was finally much quieter. Laying on the coffin lid, Gu Xi even had a good nap wrapped in a quilt.

Even when Gu Xi fell asleep, the Evil Coffin did not deviate from its course, continuing to travel in accordance with the map’s directions.

If the weather hadn’t gotten colder and Gu Xi wasn’t woken up by the cold, he might not have woken up so soon.

”Where have we gotten to?”

The awakened Gu Xi rubbed his eyes and glanced around.

However, there was no one to answer Gu Xi’s question. The ghosts always followed behind Gu Xi, but they couldn’t speak.

Helplessly, Gu Xi had to stand up himself, standing on the coffin lid to look forward, comparing with the map, hoping to find a landmark building to determine his position.

Looking around, Gu Xi suddenly saw a completely frozen lake in the distance.

On the lake’s surface, many tree-built cabins stood as if built on the ice, and even inside the cabins, dim lights could be seen.

Flipping through the map in front of him, Gu Xi compared carefully.

”Found it, this is White Star Lake, with walrus and beaver people villages on the lake, a neutral village, can be contacted. Produces fish, crystals, gems, and other minerals.”

Looking at the recorded information on the map, Gu Xi pondered for a moment and pointed his hand in that direction: ”Let’s head over to White Star Lake.”
