Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 73: Chapter 71: Regional Linkage

In front of Yalidu City, directly facing the Evil Church, a new large building was undergoing its final decorative touches.

This building was entirely different in style from the Evil Church.

The Evil Church was an undead transformed rural chapel, complete with a cemetery in the back.

The building in front clearly showcased the style of a Greek Temple.

However, the temple was now entirely black, with numerous relief carvings on its walls.

As the last relief was completed, a ding sounded in Gu Xi’s ears.

[White Bone Evil Temple construction complete, city experience +3!]

[Building Name: White Bone Evil Temple

Level: 1

Trainable Troops:

Skeleton (Level 0), automatically trains 30+15 per week, consuming 0 points of negative energy

Skeleton Shooter (Level 3), consumes 30 points of negative energy, can transform a Skeleton into a Skeleton Shooter (comes with 10 arrows)]

[Skeleton Shooter (Level 3, Summoned Corps): Experience (0/500) Attack 2+2 (Bow and Arrow), Defense 1+1 (Leather Armor) Life 10, Ammunition 10, Skills Undead Creatures, Shooter, First Strike.]

[Ding, discovered White Bone Evil Temple linked with Evil Church, would you like to create a linked training region for Skeletons?]

”Link.”

Looking at the information that popped up, Gu Xi decisively made the decision.

With Gu Xi’s command, the ground nearby trembled slightly, and Gu Xi noticed that more bone fragments had appeared on the ground nearby, and even in front of the White Bone Evil Temple and Evil Church, there were bones that had turned to dust.

[Skeleton Training Region linkage complete, Skeleton Soldier training speed increased by 50%, now this region can train 20 (Evil Church) + 30 (White Bone Evil Temple) + 25 (Well) + 25 (Region), for a total of 100 Skeletons per week.]

Skeleton Soldiers?

Gu Xi’s eyes lit up. He had studied diligently at the Nether Bone Wind Academy and knew that the Undead Mage’s greatest characteristic was the Sea of Bones tactic.

With 100 Skeleton Soldiers produced weekly here, and the ability to directly level up to Level 3, this clearly laid a strong foundation for Gu Xi.

Gu Xi decisively ordered: ”Recruit, summon all the Skeletons first, Luna, how much negative energy is left, gather some to prepare to transform Skeleton Shooters.”

Luna floated before Gu Xi, ”Master, we’ve just expended 1500 points of negative energy from the past three days’ accumulation, now we only have 300 points left, which can transform at most 10 Skeleton Shooters.”

”10 then, transform them first, the rest can serve as Skeletons for now.”

Gu Xi didn’t ask further, making a swift decision.

Under Gu Xi’s command, the relief on the White Bone Evil Temple trembled slightly, and the faces in the relief on the wall cracked open, with Skeletons carrying nothing jumping out from the mural.

This was the method of recruiting Skeletons at the White Bone Evil Temple, quite different from the seated waiting recruitment at the Evil Church.

The quality of the final recruited Skeletons also differed somewhat.

Though their attributes were the same, the Skeletons emerging from the relief were noticeably taller.

Gu Xi didn’t linger long, but swiftly used 300 points of negative energy to transform ten of them into Skeleton Shooters.

With the infusion of negative energy, the ten chosen Skeletons transformed immediately, gaining a layer of leather armor on their body, holding a complete wooden bow, with a quiver on their back.

Their hats were slightly large, occasionally tilting downwards and needed support from the Skeleton Soldiers.

When these Skeletons took their positions, the three Skeleton Bosses under Gu Xi had also completed their supplies.

The Skeleton Soldiers Gu Xi had acquired from the Nether Bone Wind Academy had been converted into three corresponding combat squads.

Now, wielding their respective weapons, they stood on the empty ground outside the Evil Church.

When Gu Xi led out forty Skeletons and ten Skeleton Shooters, they quickly approached him.

”Everyone ready? We have a tough battle ahead. Shaya, you can start now.”

Under Gu Xi’s command, Combat Squad 3’s Skeleton Soldiers swiftly advanced, joining forces with the Zombies to form a circle on the open ground outside the Evil Church, while the other Skeleton Soldiers stood ready with their weapons on the perimeter.

Further out were the Ghosts under Luna’s command and the newly recruited Skeletons and Skeleton Shooters.

At this moment, Gu Xi also found a flagpole and set up the Chief Battle Banner he had just obtained, and then picked up the Shattering Staff, and went outside the circle formed by the Skeleton Soldiers and Zombies.

Knowing it was her turn to perform, Shaya, in a red dress holding a pair of daggers, stood there.

”Master.”

”Are you ready?”

”Ready,” Shaya affirmed.

”Alright, let’s try this once. If we encounter danger, retreat quickly.”

As Gu Xi spoke, he handed the Silver Dragon Invisibility Cloak to Shaya.

As Shaya donned the Invisibility Cloak, she found herself entering a different gray space.

In that space, a massive Black Bone Dragon opened its eyes, measuring at least fifteen meters long. Its black bones seemed charred, with silver flames flickering around its body.

Upon Shaya’s entrance, it had already noticed her.

At this moment, Shaya remembered her mission.

To find the Death Incarnation and bring it back to Yalidu City.

Spotting the Bone Dragon, Shaya immediately threw a dagger at it.

[Ding! Temporary task: Sacred Artifact in the Fairy Tale progress changed, three Deathly Hallows gathered (3/3, complete), Death Incarnation available for slaying.]

With a ding in Gu Xi’s ear, a black Bone Dragon shot out of the black mist, appearing within the circle of Skeleton Soldiers.

”Attack!”

Gu Xi immediately issued the attack order, and all the Zombies and Combat Squad 3’s Skeleton Soldiers rushed forward, using their bodies and shields to press against the huge Bone Dragon.

Luna emitted a scream at the Bone Dragon instantly.

Banshee Wail!

The scream startled the Bone Dragon, which was about to take flight, back two steps, and just then, the arrows shot by the ten Skeleton Shooters hit the dragon’s body.

The Bone Dragon, instinctively jolted by the attack, swung its body, knocking seven Skeleton Soldiers away with its tail.

At this moment, the Zombies reached the Bone Dragon, grabbing it with one hand and slashing down with kitchen knives in the other.
