Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 235, Extremistis Country, Truly Shameless

Zhao Shengming recovered from shock and nodded with a flushed face, “I think victory has already been secured. Lu Fan’s display of Combat Power is just too terrifying. He managed to  Mission a Dark Castle. Just the fact that he had managed to turn even the Diabolical Hell Demon into his Summon makes him unrivalled in this National Trial. No one is his match!”

At this point, Zhao Shengming felt that his heart could finally rest easy.

With the Demon Army, it would be hard for Lu Fan to lose even if he wanted to!

Who could have imagined that Lu Fan would have such ability to turn the entire Demon Army, including the Diabolical Hell Demon, into his Summons? Even the Undead Mage – a Hidden Profession Zhao Shengming knew of – did not have such an overpowered Skill.

Elder Han stood up and stretched his body after sitting for so long. With a smile on his face, he said “Alright, this kid really puts one’s mind at ease.”

“We don’t need to keep supervising him anymore. Why don’t we go out for a walk and relax before coming back?”

“Alright.” Zhao Shengming nodded, glancing at the display screen.

At this time, Lu Fan was also resting, lying on the throne, letting his Fallen Corpse Magic Dragons handle all the Monster killing and map exploration.

[He sure knows how to enjoy himself!] Zhao Shengming smiled and followed Elder Han out.

After leaving the observation room, Zhao Shengming initially wanted to call over some teachers from Dragon Capital University to guard the door. After all, Lu Fan’s actual situation could be seen from the display screen in the observation room. If someone entered, Lu Fan’s strength might be exposed, which would not bode well for him.

However, Elder Han waved his hand and said: “No need to worry about the observation room. After we leave, no one would dare enter.”

“Really…?” Zhao Shengming hesitated, but then thought since Elder Han said this, he should just trust him.

Zhao Shengming gave a nod and followed Elder Han, chatting while leaving to find a more spacious place to walk around.

…

Just after Zhao Shengming and Elder Han left, Jin Zaian came out from the Extremistis Country’s observation room.

Behind him were two servants.

After coming out, Jin Zaian saw no one around, with everyone in their observation rooms. He quickly walked towards Dragon Country’s observation room while quietly talking to the servant behind him. “Is the information from our spy correct? Did all the delegates from Dragon Country leave their observation room?”

The servant nodded and whispered in Jin Zaian’s ear. “Yes, Extremistis Country’s delegates Han Feibai and Dragon Country University’s Vice Principal Zhao Shengming have left their observation room. Our men are currently following them. Even if they return, we’ll be prompted beforehand. We would be able to get all the information we need and can withdraw from the observation room in time.”

“Our people are also watching Dragon Country’s other delegates. They are not monitoring the observation room. So, even if those from Dragon Country grow suspicious of us, they’ll have no evidence we’ve entered their observation room.”

Jin Zaian nodded and said: “Well done! Keep watching Han Feibai and the others. Report immediately if they show any signs of returning.”

As he spoke, Jin Zaian quickened his pace, his eyes fixed on the door of Dragon Country’s observation room.

“I want to see exactly what exploit Dragon Country is using to exploit our Secret Realm! You’ve managed to gain points so quickly, but even those maintaining and operating the Secret Realm are unable to find any abnormalities!”

“If I catch wind of any evidence, I’ll definitely get the other countries to jointly kick Dragon Country out of the Twenty-Three Country Alliance!”

Soon, Jin Zaian led his people to Dragon Country’s observation room door. Seeing no one around, he reached out to push open the door.

However, at this moment, a long sword flew from somewhere, so fast it left only an afterimage. It instantly grazed Jin Zaian’s palm before embedding itself in the doorway of Dragon Country’s observation room.

The sword was completely black, blade and hilt seeming to be forged from a single piece of cold iron, seamlessly integrated.

Though the sword’s design was ancient, the waves of cold air emanating from the blade made one suspect it might be an Epic Grade weapon.

The sword was exceptionally sharp – if Jin Zaian’s hand had been just a tiny bit faster, it likely would have been completely severed.

Fortunately, it was merely a warning, with no killing intent.

When Jin Zaian jerked his hand back in pain, he found only a small cut on his palm.

Though the wound was not serious, when the sword had appeared from thin air, Jin Zaian had clearly felt the deadly threat rising from behind.

If the wielder had wanted to, that sword could have effortlessly slit his throat without him even knowing.

Realising this, Jin Zaian’s back was soaked in cold sweat. He trembled all over, and looked carefully at the sword, shuddering at the sight of it.

After all, he recognized this sword – it was called the Night Reaper, the weapon of one of the Four Ultimate Swordsmen.

These experts were Elder Han’s personal guards.

Jin Zaian cursed himself for being so stupid and careless, forgetting about Elder Han’s bodyguards, the Four Ultimate Swordsmen!

He really had not expected that since Elder Han entered Extremistis Country, although Extremistis Country’s spies had been watching Elder Han constantly, they had not detected any trace of the Four Ultimate Swordsmen.

However, the Four Ultimate Swordsmen had really followed Elder Han to Extremistis Country, easily evading all of Extremistis Country’s surveillance to stay by Elder Han’s side.

Jin Zaian unconsciously took two steps back. It was only then did his two servants notice Jin Zaian’s hand had been wounded by a sword, and they drew their weapons to vigilantly guard him.

Jin Zaian was both frightened and angry, frowning as he growled. “You two are so slow to react, I could have died before you even saw who the attacker was! Useless trash! You didn’t even know Elder Han had four experts constantly following him, yet you dared tell me it was empty here. Are you sending me to my death!?”

The two servants also realised the gravity of the situation and quickly knelt down with their heads bowed, faces full of terror.

“Useless!” Jin Zaian cursed again, then looked around but still saw no sign of the Four Ultimate Swordsmen.

He did not dare stay longer. Although he was close to unlocking his Fourth Profession, before the Four Ultimate Swordsmen, even ten of him would not be enough to harm a single hair on their body.

Since they had already warned him, how dare he stay any longer?

Jin Zaian quickly slunk away with his people, as if nothing had happened.

After Jin Zaian left, the Night Reaper slowly vanished.

Even as it disappeared, no one saw any human figures moving, as if the sword had simply existed in space for a moment.

About half an hour later, Elder Han and Zhao Shengming returned, chatting and laughing.

Just before entering the observation room, Elder Han noticed the few drops of blood on the ground and a sword mark.

“Heh, Extremistis Country, truly shameless just as I expected.” Elder Han coldly smiled. Without needing the Four Ultimate Swordsmen to report anything, he already knew everything that had happened.
