Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 221, Mission Dark Castle!?

Translator: Silavin

In an instant, two Dragon Language Skills wreaked havoc on the Demonic Bloodthirsty Bats.

Whether it was the Roar of the Blue Dragon King or Rage of the Ice Dragon King, with such a High Mana Attribute, these Skills both possessed formidable power.

Even the Crowd Control Skill, Rage of the Ice Dragon King, could freeze these Demonic Bloodthirsty Bats into ice sculptures, shattering them in mid-air with no chance to resist.

Lu Fan’s three Skills, plus Xiao Ye’s Magma Burst, stacked together, eliminated the group of Demonic Bloodthirsty Bats in one fell swoop.

Occasionally, stragglers would appear, and Xing Chen would simply fly up, lightly sweeping her tail to destroy them in mid-air.

Xing Chen was only Level 11, but her Strength Attribute Points were enough to easily one-shot High Level Monsters. Lu Fan really looked forward to the day when Xing Chen would enter her Maturing Period and become Rideable. He imagined what a sight it would be, riding her and slashing out Sword Qis in mid-air.

Of course, that was assuming this unruly child Xing Chen would obediently allow him to ride her.

To maximise the Experience Points for Xing Chen, Lu Fan did not summon Xiao Cui to split the experience with. He relied solely on Xiao Ye and Xing Chen, his two Pet Dragons, to hunt down the Monsters here.

Soon, these thousands of Demonic Bloodthirsty Bats were completely wiped out by Lu Fan and his two Pet Dragons, leaving carcasses in tragic states strewn across the ground.

From start to finish, it took less than five minutes.

There was no helping it – Lu Fan’s and Xiao Ye’s Dragon Language Skills were simply too strong. Various Skills rampaged across the Demonic Bloodthirsty Bats. How could these Elite Grade Monsters possibly withstand it?

Such a satisfying slaughter left Zhao Shengming and Elder Han in the observation room stunned. Especially Zhao Shengming, who had already found it incredible that Lu Fan actively sought out the Dark Castle.

What really shocked him was that Lu Fan actually intended to clear the Dark Castle!

They were ticking bombs in the Secret Realm that everyone avoided.

However, Lu Fan did not fear them at all. He was actively aiming straight for the Dark Castle!

Zhao Shengming finally understood what Lu Fan had been searching for in the Secret Realm from the beginning – from the start, Lu Fan came with the purpose of clearing the Dark Castles.

Inside was a Level 85 Epic Grade Boss (Nightmare Grade Boss). Back then, Extremistis Country had sent five Fourth Profession Players to defeat it.

For Lu Fan to attempt Missioning the Dark Castle, he must have absolute confidence in his own strength!

Thinking back to yesterday when Lu Fan asked if there were points for killing the Nine Hell Demons, many people present had secretly sneered at him.

What expressions would be on their faces now, knowing that Lu Fan was actually going to do it?

If not for wanting to conceal Lu Fan’s true strength, Zhao Shengming really wanted to broadcast Lu Fan’s current situation in the National Trial Secret Realm, to let the observers from other countries see just how impressive the Dragon Country representative was!

Seeing Lu Fan unleash his full power and instantly slaughter the Demonic Bloodthirsty Bat swarm, Elder Han was first surprised. He soon smiled with satisfaction as he said, “Seems like our Dragon Country representative is exceptionally strong. Right now, I have even more confidence in Lu Fan.”

Zhao Shengming turned to look at Elder Han, hesitated for a moment, and finally said, “Elder Han, to be honest, what we just saw still isn’t Lu Fan’s full strength.”

Zhao Shengming kindly reminded him, not wanting Elder Han to be caught off guard when Lu Fan revealed his true abilities later on.

“I know,” Elder Han nodded, his eyes flashing, “He still has a Support Specialised Dragon and two Demi-Dragons he has not summoned yet, right?”

“I heard from Ruan Changfeng that Lu Fan has a total of five Pet Dragons, and I know he’s probably only using less than half of his full strength right now. It’s precisely because I know Lu Fan is very strong that I bet twenty portions of resources on him!”

Hearing this, Zhao Shengming’s face showed a wry smile. Indeed, Elder Han did not need his reminder. With his methods, he most likely understood Lu Fan’s true strength even better than himself.

However, Zhao Shengming felt that no matter how well he and Elder Han understood Lu Fan, in the end, Lu Fan would definitely surprise them beyond measure. After all, this kid always had more tricks up his sleeve.

If he did not have enough confidence and strength, he would not have come to Mission the Dark Castle.

Meanwhile, Lu Fan, Xiao Ye, and Xing Chen had finished killing all the thousands of Demonic Bloodthirsty Bats.

The Experience Points from these Monsters allowed Xing Chen, whose initial Experience Bar was already more than half filled, to Level Up to Level 12.

At the same time, Lu Fan gained a massive 22K points, jumping to fifth place.

Above him were Jin Chenghan, Charles, Andrei and Musashi Ten.

The fourth-ranked Musashi Ten was gaining points quickly but now only had 23K points. It was just a matter of time before Lu Fan surpassed him.

After the Demonic Bloodthirsty Bats were wiped out, the Flying Earth Demons seemed to realise that Lu Fan was a formidable enemy.

They let out piercing cries from their mouths then slowly descended, steadily placing the Dark Castle on the ground. They then released the iron chains in their hands and took out their weapons – steel tridents of several metres long.

It appeared the Flying Earth Demons were preparing to personally take action.

At the same time, inside the Dark Castle, another dark mass of figures took flight. It turned out to be a large wave of Monsters that looked very similar to the Flying Earth Demons but with bright red skin.

Lu Fan used Appraisal and discovered these were Demon Patrols. They were Level 70 Mini Bosses and were quite numerous, with over 300 of them.

Although fewer in number than the Demonic Bloodthirsty Bats, these Monsters were several times stronger.

At the same time, the Experience Points and points they provided were quite substantial.

Lu Fan thought for a moment then used Summon Divine Arrow and enchanted it with Roar of the Blue Dragon King. After all, the enemy numbers were fewer but their strength was greater. Thus, enchanting it with a Skill with powerful Single Target Damage was much more fitting for this situation.

After the Demon Patrols appeared, they immediately spread out and pounced towards Lu Fan and Xiao Ye.

Lu Fan naturally was not afraid. He immediately activated his Second Profession Skill – Void Break. Man and Dragon were instantly enveloped in flames, like a meteor falling from the sky, instantly charging into the midst of the Demon Patrols.

Void Break alone caused several Demon Patrols to be smashed to pieces. However, Lu Fan’s killing move did not stop there.

After Void Break’s initial assault, Lu Fan and Xiao Ye arrived in the middle of the Demon Patrols. There, Xiao Ye’s Area of Effect Skill, Flame Annihilation, was activated.

Xiao Ye’s giant wings flapped, and instantly, a magma storm swept outwards with Xiao Ye at the centre, engulfing all the Demon Patrols.

Earlier, Lu Fan had used Appraisal on the Demon Patrols and knew that these Monsters’ strength lay in their High Agility Attribute. They also possessed a rather troublesome Skill – Demon Cage.

This Skill would create a cage to trap enemies for a period of time.

These Monsters seemed more adept at delaying enemies, with mediocre Attack Power and Physical Resistance.

Lu Fan did not want to let these Monsters scatter. Even if he could ride Xiao Ye, trying to chase and hunt them down would be very time-consuming. So, the moment he understood these Monsters’ characteristics, Lu Fan charged in with lightning speed, using Xiao Ye’s Flame Annihilation to clear the field.

Lu Fan’s plan was super effective. These Demon Patrols had not even had a chance to display their abilities before being almost completely wiped out by Lu Fan. The few stragglers did not even require Lu Fan’s attention.

Because although Xing Chen had been slacking off the whole time without using a single Skill, her Single Target attack was still very strong. Naturally, her attacks easily dealt with the remaining few Demon Patrols.

Lu Fan’s next task was to handle the Flying Earth Demons that had just taken flight.

Just as Lu Fan was about to use Void Break’s second charge to deal with the Flying Earth Demons as well, the gate of the Dark Castle suddenly made a noise, emitting a *creaking* sound.

The massive castle gate slowly opened…
