Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 234, Layered Control, Enslaving the Diabolical Hell Demon

Translator: Silavin

If Xiao Ye had the Fallen Corpse Control Skill, turning the Diabolical Hell Demon into a Fallen Corpse Puppet would have been extremely easy.

The Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon’s Attributes were far lower than Pet Dragon Kings like Xiao Ye. Their All Four Attributes combined were definitely as high as the Level 85 Epic Grade Boss,  the Diabolical Hell Demon.

Lu Fan knew that after two hours, he would completely lose the chance to enslave the Diabolical Hell Demon, so he had to find a way to increase the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon’s Attributes.

After giving it some thought, Lu Fan first casted Dragon Encouragement, then had Xiao Cui transform into her Soul Light Form and attach herself to one of the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragons before casting Jade Light for him.

In short, all possible Enhancement Buffs were stacked on a Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon, but his Attributes were still somewhat lacking, unable to exceed the Diabolical Hell Demon’s Attributes.

Once Lu Fan noticed nothing was happening, he became anxious. Although all Enhancement Buffs had been added, the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon’s Attributes still could not break through!

He could try to see if the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon could be equipped with a Dragon Saddle.

Lu Fan’s own Attributes were not that low. [If it is with various Attribute Enhancements, along with riding one of them to stack Attributes, there is still hope of exceeding the Diabolical Hell Demon’s Attributes.]

The only unknown was whether the Dragon Saddle could be equipped on the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon. After all, they were not his Pet Dragon. Rather, they were just Summons. Lu Fan did not even know if they were in their Maturing Period.

If a Pet Dragon’s Maturing Period started at Level 30, then the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon, at Level 24 like Xiao Cui, obviously would not meet the Dragon Saddle’s Requirements.

[Either way, it’s worth a shot. If I can successfully turn the Diabolical Hell Demon into a Fallen Corpse Puppet, it would be a massive win! If it fails, there is nothing that can be done about it. At that point, I would just need to accept reality as it is.]

Lu Fan removed the Dragon Saddle equipped on Xiao Ye and carefully tried to equip it on the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon.

To his surprise, he discovered the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon could actually equip the Dragon Saddle!

Amid his joy, Lu Fan thought that perhaps the stronger the Dragon, the longer their development cycle.

Dragons like Xiao Ye were Pet Dragon Kings, They required at least Level 30 to reach their Maturing Period.

But the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon was just an ordinary Pure Blood Giant Dragon. For their kind, reaching their Maturing Period at Level 24 made sense.

Regardless, Lu Fan saw hope for enslaving the Diabolical Hell Demon!

At this point, the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon had already prostrated himself, waiting for Lu Fan to mount.

Lu Fan manifested Flying Dragon King’s Bone Wings and flew onto the Dragon Saddle, entering his Riding State.

Immediately, Lu Fan’s Attributes stacked with the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon’s Attributes, and they were now sharing one Attribute Panel.

Lu Fan’s All Four Attributes, under the enhancement of Xiao Cui’s Support Skills, had already broken past ten thousand.

That ten thousand additional Attributes loaded onto the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon instantly made his Attributes exceed the Diabolical Hell Demon’s.

Black energy rushed to the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon, and within the black energy, the Diabolical Hell Demon’s fragments began to recombine.

The originally shattered ten blade claws now reconstituted under the black energy’s effect, reforming and emanating an eerie cold light.

Then, the black energy reconstructed a pair of thick, armoured arms.

After that came the Diabolical Hell Demon’s body…

Finally, the Diabolical Hell Demon stood before Lu Fan again, except now it was the Diabolical Hell Demon (Fallen Corpse Puppet) now, completely under Lu Fan’s command.

Now the Dark Castle was filled with various Monsters.

Lu Fan was familiar with all of them, since these Monsters had just died by his hand.

And now, all the Monsters were his servants, completely under his control.

Among them was even a Level 85 Epic Grade Boss — the Diabolical Hell Demon.

[How could the word ‘satisfying’ alone describe this feeling!?]

Earlier Lu Fan had thought about how Xiao Cui was his Pet Dragon, the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon was Xiao Cui’s Summon, and if the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon gathered some subordinates, it would really be like nested dolls (Matryoshka doll).

Now, the nesting has indeed begun.

Taking this Demon Army out of the National Trial, Lu Fan figured he could truly just automatically LeveL Up without needing to do anything.

When Lu Fan tried controlling the Diabolical Hell Demon and other Fallen Corpse Puppets, he found his control over them was not very smooth.

It made sense, as there were two layers between Lu Fan and the Fallen Corpse Puppets. Any command had to be transmitted from Lu Fan to Xiao Cui, then from Xiao Cui to the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon, before the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon could control the Fallen Corpse Puppets.

With such layers, it was impossible for Lu Fan to instantly issue commands for them to obey like with Xiao Ye and the others.

However, the Fallen Corpse Puppets could still respond promptly to Lu Fan’s simple commands like attack or retreat.

This was sufficient, since the occasions when Lu Fan needed the Fallen Corpse Puppets were just for them to swarm and gang up on enemies.

As for how to fight and what Skills to use, these Fallen Corpse Puppets naturally retained their combat instincts from when they were alive.

Seeing that even the Diabolical Hell Demon had been brought under his control, becoming an extremely powerful force, Lu Fan was deeply satisfied.

He thought for a moment, then flew directly to the throne in the deepest part of the Dark Castle and sat down. [This seat is just perfect for me.]

After sitting down, Lu Fan was surprised to discover that sitting on this throne allowed him to establish a connection with the Dark Castle, receiving information about a certain radius around the castle!

[No wonder the Diabolical Hell Demon had set up a throne here despite having no bottoms]

If the entire Dark Castle was compared to a spaceship, this throne would be the command bridge. Sitting here, one could know everything happening outside even without leaving the Dark Castle.

This made Lu Fan even more comfortable.

Outside was a replica of the Far North, with very low temperatures, where he would be in icy conditions.

When one could stay comfortably in the Dark Castle, who would want to run around outside?

Lu Fan simply lay back on the throne in a very comfortable position while controlling the Flying Earth Demons in the Dark Castle to go out and reattach the chains, dragging the Dark Castle to continue roaming the map.

If they encountered Monsters along the way, Lu Fan did not need to personally act. He could just send out the Demonic Bloodthirsty Bats and other mobile Fallen Corpse Puppets to kill the Monsters.

The Fallen Corpse Puppets counted as Lu Fan’s Summons, so the points and Experience Points from their kills would naturally count toward Lu Fan’s total.

Now, Lu Fan’s life has gotten much better.

Watching Lu Fan somehow control the entire Demon Army, including the Diabolical Hell Demon, Elder Han and Zhao Shengming in the observation room were greatly shocked.

They had already found it incredibly remarkable when Lu Fan killed the Diabolical Hell Demon.

And now, Lu Fan had turned the Diabolical Hell Demon into his servant and was comfortably lounging on the throne, letting this Demon Army work for him for free.

After a long while, Elder Han shook his head with a smile and sighed. “It looks like the first place position in this National Trial is secured for our Dragon Country, right?”
