Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 209, Don’t Let Me See You in the Secret Realm

This person looked very rugged, and he seemed to speak and act entirely based on his mood.

The Feather Country delegate beside him heard it too, but showed no intention of stopping him, as if he agreed with what his country’s representative had said.

This was indeed in line with Feather Country’s style of doing things.

Andrei’s public expression of dissatisfaction immediately made the atmosphere awkward.

Lu Fan, on the other hand, was secretly amused. He also wanted to criticise Extremistis Country’s State Banquet, but being abroad, he felt like he had to maintain the etiquette of Dragon Country.

It felt great to have someone speak out for him.

Jin Zaian heard Andrei’s dissatisfaction, and his expression became complicated.

Jin Chenghan, young and impetuous, had been holding back his anger ever since he saw Lu Fan. Now, with someone from Feather Country publicly criticising their Extremistis Country’s State Banquet, how could he hold back?

Jin Chenghan slowly put down his chopsticks and coldly stated, “If you don’t want to eat, then go hungry! How could barbarians like you appreciate the delicacies of my Extremistis Country!?”

These words immediately made the atmosphere even more awkward.

Hearing this, Andrei unexpectedly smiled, then slowly stood up, putting his hand to his ear and said, “What did you just say? I don’t think I heard clearly. Can you speak louder and say it again?”

Andrei did not make many movements, but sudden sparks appeared on his body, making him look like a piece of charcoal about to burst into flames.

Jin Chenghan also stood up, with two slowly forming Summoning Arrays appearing beside him.

However, at this moment, Jin Zaian and the Feather Country delegate simultaneously intervened, stopping the two who were about to fight.

“Andrei, control your temper!” The delegate pressed down Andrei’s shoulder, forcing him to sit back down.

Jin Zaian also waved his hand, gesturing Jin Chenghan to sit down and not cause any trouble.

The two young men did not want to embarrass their respective country’s delegates, so they obediently sat down.

However, after sitting down, Andrei smiled at Jin Chenghan and said, “Kid, if I remember correctly, your name is Jin Chenghan, right? When we go into the National Trial Secret Realm, you’d better not let me see you.”

Jin Chenghan snorted coldly, retorting, “The same goes for you.”

As the host, Jin Zaian still had to show proper hospitality.

After stopping Jin Chenghan and Andrei, he forced a smile and said, “Our Feather Country friend is not satisfied with our Extremistis Country’s State Banquet? Our Extremistis Country’s State Banquet has always been like this, and we can’t help it if you’re not used to it. I’ve heard that Feather Country has plenty of delectable meat. Should I have someone bring up a few more meat steaks for you?”

Andrei waved his hand directly and said, “No need, this meal is not exactly palatable, so I won’t eat it. It’s good that I brought my own rations with me. You don’t mind if I don’t eat the Extremistis Country’s State Banquet, right?”

Jin Zaian nodded, naturally having no objections. “It’s our Extremistis Country’s fault for not being hospitable enough.”

Seeing that Extremistis Country had no objections, Andrei directly took out several bottles of strong liquor from his Inventory, then pulled out a large piece of roasted meat about the size of an adult’s body and placed it on the table, taking a bite.

This roasted meat looked very simply cooked, which was in line with Feather Country’s eating habits. Compared to Extremistis Country’s State Banquet, this large piece of roasted meat and big gulps of strong liquor were more to their taste.

Seeing the Feather Country representative overtly and directly abandoning the Extremistis Country’s State Banquet and eating his own food, Lu Fan looked at the State Banquet in front of him and had no appetite. He too reached into his Inventory, taking out some of the mountainous rations that Han Ke had prepared for him.

These so-called rations were actually dishes that Han Ke had carefully prepared, easy to carry and preserve, with excellent colour, aroma, and taste.

Originally, Han Ke had prepared these dishes for Lu Fan to eat during the National Trial. However, because there was so much, eating some here would not be a problem.

Seeing Lu Fan take out many Dragon Country specialty dishes as if by magic, Zhao Shengming was stunned. “Lu Fan, you… why do you have so much food with you?”

“My Auntie prepared it for me.” Lu Fan smiled, thought for a moment, and took out some more food to share with Zhao Shengming and Elder Han. “Vice Principal Zhao, Elder Han, would you two like to eat some?”

As he spoke, Lu Fan lowered his voice and said. “I guarantee that this is much better than the State Banquet!”

These words made Elder Han laugh out loud. He thanked Lu Fan and indeed pushed aside the Extremistis Country’s State Banquet, starting to enjoy the delicacies Lu Fan had brought.

Although Han Ke’s dishes had long since cooled, the aroma of the delicacies still wafted out, attracting the attention of many people.

After all, Dragon Country cuisine was world-famous! Even some High Level Cooks might not be able to make dishes as delicious as Dragon Country cuisine due to the lack of certain ingredients.

Seeing Lu Fan, Zhao Shengming, and Elder Han at the Dragon Country table eating beggar’s chicken, steamed pork with rice flour, pot stickers, and other Dragon Country specialties, which smelled great, and then looking at Extremistis Country’s State Banquet in front of them, all the delegates and representatives from other countries unconsciously gulped.

Especially Andrei, who had been happily eating his meat and drinking his liquor. As soon as he smelled the aroma coming from Dragon Country’s table, he suddenly felt his roasted meat was tasteless.

He threw down his meat and came to Dragon Country’s table as if no one else was around. Looking at the table full of dishes in front of Lu Fan and the others, his eyes lit up, and he smiled at Lu Fan, “Brother, are you eating Dragon Country cuisine? It smells so good, can you share some with me?”

Lu Fan thought for a moment. Not wanting to be stingy, especially since this person had directly confronted Extremistis Country in this situation, he naturally had to share.

So, Lu Fan directly gave Andrei a beggar’s chicken wrapped in lotus leaves, smiling and saying, “Sure. This beggar’s chicken is for you. I’ll let you taste how amazing Dragon Country cuisine is!”

“Haha, thank you, Brother!” Andrei took the beggar’s chicken, sniffed it hard, and was delighted. He pointed at the roasted meat he had put down and said, “How about I share some of my roasted meat with you?”

“That’s not necessary…” Lu Fan saw that the roasted meat was quite crudely made and naturally had no appetite for it.

Andrei could tell that Lu Fan was genuinely not interested in his roasted meat, so he scratched his head embarrassedly and said, “Alright then. Anyway, thank you for your… whatever chicken. When we get to the National Trial Secret Realm, if we have a chance to meet, I’ll help you get some points to show my gratitude!”

After saying this, he hurriedly returned to his seat, unwrapped the lotus leaves, and began to devour the beggar’s chicken.

After just one bite, Andrei was amazed. He exclaimed how delicious Dragon Country cuisine was, and that even a casual dish completely overshadowed Extremistis Country’s State Banquet.

Andrei spoke without any filter, and these words naturally offended all of those from Extremistis Country present.

However, they could only pretend they did not hear him. Otherwise, the atmosphere would become awkward again.

Soon, the banquet was considered over, and servers came to clear the dishes. A projection device was also brought in.

“Everyone.” Jin Zaian stood up and walked to the projection screen, saying, “Now that the banquet is over, I will move onto the more serious matters. This year’s National Trial Secret Realm was created by our Extremistis Country. Right now, I will begin by revealing the map of the National Trial Secret Realm, as well as the rules of the Secret Realm!”
