Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 211, Are These Bosses Meant to be Farmed?

“Actually, we didn’t just arrange for the Nine Hell Demons to guard the Nine Dark Castles.” Jin Zaian smiled. “These Nine Dark Castles are also moving randomly around the Secret Realm. In other words, there will be a Dark Castle wandering aimlessly in each area. No matter where the representatives from each country go, they might encounter a Dark Castle. Once within the active attack range of the army inside the castle, the Monsters in the Dark Castle will actively attack. If the representative gets even closer to the Dark Castle, they might even encounter one of the Nine Hell Demons personally taking action!”

As soon as these words were spoken, the whole scene erupted.

Many country representatives and delegates expressed their protests, saying that such an arrangement would only make it more dangerous for the representatives entering the National Trial Secret Realm.

Originally, they only needed to farm Monsters for points while being wary of representatives from other countries. But now, as long as they were in the Secret Realm, they could encounter the Nine Hell Demons at any time.

If they encountered one and did not escape in time, they would certainly face death.

With arrangements like this, it could be predicted that the casualties in this National Trial would be the worst in years.

Seeing many people raising objections, Jin Zaian seemed to have anticipated this and said with a smile. “Everyone, there is no need to object to this design. The situation in the Secret Realm is far less dangerous than you might think.”

“Though the Dark Castles are indeed wandering randomly around, as long as you see one, you can avoid it in time. The movement speed of the Dark Castles is not that fast. With the strength of your representatives, as long as you’re careful, you naturally won’t get entangled with the Nine Hell Demons if you do not wish to be. So, understand that the Dark Castles are slow moving bombs. Although dangerous, they can be easily avoided.”

“Our original intention in designing and adding the Nine Hell Demons is to make the Secret Realm more oppressive. With nine Level 85 Epic Grade Bosses roaming around, it should be able to push the representatives from each country more, push them to survive, push them to thrive.”

“Moreover, the Nine Hell Demons are all similar in strength, and their addition will not affect the fairness of the Secret Realm. There’s nothing unreasonable about it.”

Hearing Jin Zaian say this, the representatives and delegates from various countries indeed quieted down a bit. In the end, as long as the fairness of the Secret Realm was guaranteed, it did not matter if the difficulty was increased.

After all, if it was difficult for them, it was difficult for others too.

Just when Jin Zaian thought no one had any questions and was about to move on to the next topic, Lu Fan suddenly stood up.

“Mr. Jin, I have another question.” Lu Fan loudly asked.

Jin Zaian nodded with a smile. “Please, go ahead.”

Lu Fan asked, “Since all Monsters killed will count towards points, if I kill any of the Nine Hell Demons, will I also get a lot of points?”

Upon hearing Lu Fan’s question, the whole venue fell silent. Then, someone could not help but laugh.

Obviously, the Extremistis Country’s purpose in designing the Nine Hell Demons was to put pressure on the representatives from various countries, making them always alert of whether a Dark Castle was passing by while doing Missions and farming Monsters.

Were these Nine Hell Demons meant to be farmed?

Among the representatives of the 23 countries, except for a few Third Profession Players, most were Level 50-something Second Profession Players. Even if all 23 country representatives worked together, they absolutely would not be a match for a Hell Demon.

Lu Fan’s words sounded like nonsense to everyone, because they all felt that it was absolutely impossible for anyone to kill a Hell Demon in the Secret Realm.

Jin Zaian also laughed uncontrollably, but still answered Lu Fan’s question. “Of course. All Monsters in the Secret Realm provide points. The stronger they are, the higher the points. If you really can kill a Hell Demon, the points you could get would probably surpass killing tens of thousands of Monsters.”

“I see…” Lu Fan’s eyes lit up when he heard this. He naturally was not just asking for the sake of curiosity. The reason he asked was that he really intended to farm these nine Hell Demons.

If he could farm these nine Bosses, the first place should be secured, right?

The strongest Boss Lu Fan had encountered before was probably the Flying Dragon King’s Soul in the Flying Dragon Cemetery.

The Flying Dragon King’s Soul was a Level 75 Nightmare Boss, certainly not as strong as the Nine Hell Demons. However, when dealing with the Flying Dragon King’s Soul, Lu Fan had not even used his full strength.

Now that Lu Fan had undergone his Second Profession Change, and his strength had undergone earth-shattering changes compared to before, if he really encountered a Level 85 Epic Grade Boss, it might not be unbeatable!

Rather than farming small Monsters and slowly accumulating points in such a large area, why not go for a few big scores!?

[Once I’m done killing them, and I manage to kill a few representatives from the other countries, like Jin Chenghan, wouldn’t first place be a sure thing? How delightful!]

If the representatives from other countries knew that the Dark Castles and Nine Hell Demons, which everyone secretly prayed not to encounter, would be Lu Fan’s first target upon entering the Secret Realm, their worldview might collapse.

A Level 34 Player wanting to find and kill Level 85 Epic Grade Bosses, how could they not take it as a joke!?

Seeing Lu Fan sit down and no one else raising questions, Jin Zaian nodded and continued. “Since no one has any more questions, let’s continue with the next topic. Delegates from each country, please submit your agreed upon wager. We’ll do a summary, and after the National Trial ends, we’ll sign and fulfill the wagers.”

The delegates present had no objections and had their assistants take out a stack of agreements.

At the same time, everyone also began to state the contents of their agreements in turn.

The so-called agreement was actually equivalent to a stake of their resources.

Lu Fan knew that in the National Trial, various countries would engage in betting, each putting up 20 invaluable resources. It could be areas with Monster resources, mineral deposits, or Secret Realms and Dungeon Instances that no one had cleared before, and so on.

In short, they were wagering national power, and the amount being wagered was absolutely jaw-dropping.

Indeed, among the 23 countries present, there were no truly weak countries. Even the weakest country here was considered to be in the middle rankings on the world world stage.

Naturally, everyone could come up with 20 valuable resources to wager.

The value of the resources put forward by everyone varied, but not by too much. There was also no need to quibble over minor differences.

So, after each country revealed their wagered resources, no one raised any objections.

In the end, 460 wagered resources were all gathered in one place, becoming a prize pool, waiting for the National Trial Secret Realm to end. They would be divided according to the points at the end.
