Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 216, Kill Lu Fan, Become a Hero!

Translator: Silavin

Xiao Ye carried Lu Fan through the air. Soon, Lu Fan saw that there were indeed other representatives here, currently battling Monsters.

On a mountain a few kilometres away, a Swordsman was engaged in combat with an Ice Plains Yeti Chieftain.

The Ice Plains Yeti Chieftain was a Gold Grade Boss (Normal Boss), with Attributes considerably stronger than the regular Ice Plains Yetis.

The person fighting it had not undergone his Third Profession Change yet, but his Level was not that low either.

Those chosen to participate in the National Trial were certainly all experts of their country, so this person also had the ability to kill Bosses above his Level.

Lu Fan looked at the representative. He wore light armour, likely a Warrior Type Profession.

The weapon he used was a longsword. With each strike, the blade of the longsword would emit streams of clear water, causing additional damage to the Monster. At the same time, he occasionally used Skills, throwing out a huge water ball with his hand to imprison the Ice Plains Yeti Chieftain.

The Ice Plains Yeti Chieftain, sealed within the water ball, was in extreme pain from suffocation, but it only took a full two seconds to break free from the water ball.

During these two seconds, the representative fighting it either consumed Potions or added Buffs to himself, without attacking.

[Seems like although this water ball Skill has a powerful Crowd Control Effect, once attacked, the Crowd Control Effect would be nullified.]

Using this water ball Skill, the representative fought very methodically, constantly restraining the opponent and creating time for himself to catch his breath.

It had to be said that this representative was quite impressive, with his combat experience and combat techniques able to be considered top-tier.

Indeed, those chosen to participate in the National Trial Secret Realm were not weaklings.

Lu Fan had a strong impression of this person, so he immediately recognized him.

He was South Country’s representative, Yasanglai. As for his Profession, it was the same as Tao Xiaoman, Water Sword God.

Yasanglai would be a top Player in any country, but in the previous internet rankings, he was ranked at the T4 Level. After all, among the 23 country representatives who were all experts, Yasanglai seemed mediocre.

It was only natural that Lu Fan did not really see him as a threat.

Yasanglai’s battle with the Ice Plains Yeti Chieftain was basically nearing its end.

The Water Sword God Profession Characteristics were very well-rounded, with Damage Output, Crowd Control, and Healing. It was excellent for Mission Play.

Around Yasanglai, there were many carcasses of Ice Plains Yetis. It was clear he had been fighting here for a long time.

Lu Fan also saw his target – a Mission Scroll emitting golden light at the top of the mountain.

However, below the Mission Scroll was a snow cave. At the entrance of the cave, huge footprints could be seen in disarray, probably the lair of the Ice Plains Yetis.

Yasanglai wanted to accept the Mission from the Mission Scroll but was blocked by the continuously appearing Ice Plains Yetis, so he decided to kill Monsters here to farm for points.

At this moment, Yasanglai also saw a huge figure flying towards him in the sky. At first, the shadow he saw greatly shocked him. He feared it was some powerful wandering Boss. But that was until he looked up and carefully saw Lu Fan and Xiao Ye, as well as the information above this man and Dragon.

Lu Fan, Level 34, Silver Dragon Rider, Dragon Country, 357 points, Rank 23.Black Dragon King – Deathwing, Level 32, Pet, Master – Lu Fan.
Originally, when Yasanglai saw the huge figure in the sky resembling the legendary Giant Dragon, he felt a sense of suffocation coming over him.

But when he saw that this Giant Dragon was Lu Fan’s Pet Dragon, and that both the Giant Dragon and Lu Fan were only around Level 30-something, he immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

Although that sense of pressure lingered, which he was not able to understand why, Yasanglai still had some understanding of Lu Fan.

Lu Fan was truly unique among all the representatives. Although he had a Pet Dragon, his Level was very low, and there had always been controversy about his strength.

At the same time, there was enmity between South Country and Dragon Country.

When Dragon Country’s southern border was invaded by South Country, Tu Jing led the Griffin Legion to counterattack and invade South Country, crushing them.

Tu Jing once sat on the South Country’s king’s bed, drinking wine while pointing his Dragon Spear at the king’s head, forcing him to sign a treaty of defeat.

Therefore, South Country had always been very hostile towards Dragon Country. This hostility certainly could not be shown openly, but privately, South Country was very willing to do things detrimental to Dragon Country.

The National Trial Secret Realm was a very good opportunity for revenge.

When Yasanglai came to the National Trial Secret Realm, besides aiming for a good ranking, his biggest wish was to be able to kill Dragon Country’s representative.

Dragon Country had crushed South Country in the past, making South Country unable to hold its head high. Now, in the National Trial Secret Realm, if Yasanglai could kill Lu Fan, both the South Country and Dragon Country delegates would see it. At that time, even if Yasanglai’s ranking was not good, as long as he killed Lu Fan, he would be South Country’s hero!

Dragon Country would also remember Yasanglai’s name, just like how South Country people all remembered Tu Jing.

So, at the first sight of Lu Fan, Yasanglai had murderous intentions.

Seeing Lu Fan riding the Giant Dragon flying over, Yasanglai guessed that Lu Fan had seen him fighting the Boss and wanted to come and steal his kill.

How could Yasanglai give Lu Fan such a good opportunity to take advantage of him!?

“Splitting Waterfall Slash!” Yasanglai no longer took his time with the Ice Plains Yeti Chieftain. He directly released his most powerful Second Profession Skill.

As he slashed down with his sword, the sound of rushing water was deafening.

The manifestation of an illusionary waterfall descended from the sky, enveloping the Ice Plains Yeti Chieftain, rendering it immobile.

Then, a blade fell, splitting both the waterfall and the Ice Plains Yeti Chieftain.

Yasanglai had been battling with the Ice Plains Yeti Chieftain for a long time, severely injuring it. This powerful Second Profession Skill had completely emptied its Health Points Bar.

Immediately, the huge body of the Ice Plains Yeti Chieftain violently spurted blood and it fell to the ground with a crash.

After killing the Ice Plains Yeti Chieftain with one strike, Yasanglai was in high spirits. After all, this was a Level 70 Gold Grade Boss. He had yet to undergo his Third Profession Change but had still managed to kill it. This just showed how strong he was.

Yasanglai planted his longsword in the ground and looked up at the late-arriving Lu Fan.

At this time, Lu Fan had also flown to above Yasanglai’s head, letting Xiao Ye hover in mid-air.

“Dragon Country’s representative, Lu Fan, right? You saw me killing a Boss and wanted to come and steal my kill, huh?” Yasanglai laughed heartily, full of confidence when facing Lu Fan.

Both Lu Fan and Xiao Ye’s Levels, as well as Lu Fan’s current points, made him believe that Lu Fan was not as strong as what the rumours made him out to be. Yasanglai now scoffed at how he got ranked at the T1 Level. If he was really that strong, how could he only have so few points?

Although Yasanglai was not clear as to why his legs kept trembling uncontrollably as Lu Fan and the Black Dragon approached, he still firmly believed that a Level 34 Player would not be able to do anything to him.

Soon, he would become a South Country hero who killed Dragon Country’s representative!
