Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 204, The Weapon Most Suitable for Lu Fan

Translator: Silavin

Du Yaqiu smiled and said. “That’s right, and he’s the only master craftsman in Dragon Country who has forged an Epic Grade weapon. Many people have gone to this craftsman with materials and large sums of money to commission equipment. For Xian’er to have him forge such an item for you, even if it’s because they have a good relationship, she probably owes this master craftsman a favour.”

As she spoke, Du Yaqiu looked at the Flaming Meteor Sword in Lu Fan’s hand and smiled, “This sword must feel very natural for you to use, right?”

Lu Fan nodded and said. “Yes, be it the length, weight, or grip, everything about this sword perfectly fits me. I’ve never had a weapon that fits me so well.”

Du Yaqiu added. “Of course. The weapons forged by this master not only have powerful Attributes, but most importantly, they perfectly suit the user’s habits. The weapons he creates may not be the most powerful, but they are definitely the most suitable for the user. That just shows how well Xian’er knows you. Even without bringing you personally to the master craftsman, she was able to have him forge a weapon that perfectly suits you.”

Du Yaqiu’s words reminded Lu Fan of the Beautiful Senior Sister he had sparred with in the VIP Arena. It seems that besides sparring with him each day, she had also carefully observed all his habits, which is why she could understand him so well.

[Senior Sister is truly thoughtful.]

Lu Fan very much wanted to thank her in person, but unfortunately, she was not here.

Feeling both touched and disappointed, Lu Fan caressed the blade.

The blade was very hot, but given Lu Fan’s Endurance, this temperature was nothing.

The Level Requirement for this sword was only 30, so Lu Fan could equip it directly.

After equipping the Flaming Meteor Sword, Lu Fan could directly feel just how compatible this sword was with him.

In comparison, the Black Dragon Scale Greatsword felt like a slab coated with fire. It was not agile at all.

After putting away the Flaming Meteor Sword, Lu Fan opened the second, smaller box.

This time, the box contained a Skill Book.

Profession Skill Book
Dragon Language Magic • Magma Burst

Required Profession: Dragon Tamer

Required Level: 25

Description: After use, learn the Skill – Magma Burst

Magma Burst: After use, can summon an erupting magma pool in a designated area, trapping enemies and dealing terrifying damage.

What Lu Fan never expected was that this was another Dragon Language Magic Skill Book!

And it was Magma Burst!

[Seems like Senior Sister must have thought that since the Flaming Meteor Sword she gave me increases Fire Element Skill damage, but I don’t have any Fire Element Dragon Language Magic, this Additional Trait would be wasted. So, she added in a Fire Element Dragon Language Skill Book, allowing me to fully utilise the power of the Flaming Meteor Sword.]

[Senior Sister, you are truly thoughtful.] What she did not know was just how much this Skill Book would help Lu Fan.

By learning Magma Burst, Lu Fan would have the opportunity to trigger the Passive Skill Dragon Language Resonance.

Magma Burst was already Xiao Ye’s highest Damage Output Skill. If Lu Fan also mastered this Skill, and they both released it simultaneously, with the bonus effect of Dragon Language Resonance, even Fourth Profession Players could be instantly killed without a chance to fight back!

It must be said that these two items she left for him were each more delightful than the last.

Lu Fan picked up the Skill Book, but before he had a chance to learn from it, he saw a letter pressed beneath it.

Needless to say, this must be the letter Du Yaqiu had mentioned earlier, left by Senior Sister for him.

Lu Fan did not rush to learn the Skill Book. Instead, she opened the envelope to read its contents.

Upon opening the letter, elegant handwriting came into view.

Junior Brother, long time no see!
I had originally planned to wait for you to return and take the top spot in the National Trial before leaving. Unfortunately, something suddenly came up, and I had no choice but to leave early.

When you see this letter, you should have already seen the two gifts I prepared for you. Hehe, do you like them? Last time I was going to give you a gift, but you’ve gotten the No Level Requirement Scroll yourself with your Dragon Egg Item Panel. You simply did not let me express my feelings. This had made me quite dissatisfied. So, the Flaming Meteor Sword is your reward for forcing me to use my Skills in advance.

You’ve received your reward, so when I get back, if you still can’t force me to use my Skills during our sparring, I might just have to take the sword back!

I have a lot of things to deal with here, but when I return, the first thing I’ll do is go to Villa No. 2 to mooch a meal off of you. Then, I’ll naturally take you to the Arena to beat you up.

If I don’t go to Villa No. 2, don’t wait for me like an idiot in the Arena.

As for when I’ll be back, I can’t say for sure, but there’s definitely no hope before you return from the National Trial.

I wanted to go to Extremistis Country to cheer for you in person, but I can’t even do that now. But, hey, even though I can’t cheer for you, you still need to perform well.

If you don’t come back with first place, it would be too embarrassing for me. When I return, I’ll definitely give you a good thrashing during our sparring. You better remember that and do your absolute best!

Oh, right, you haven’t forgotten about the Never-Melting Ice you promised me, have you? Keep it safe for me, I’ll come to get it when I’m back!

Through the tone of the handwriting, Lu Fan could almost see the spirited Beautiful Senior Sister talking to him face to face, even raising her fist, forcing him to definitely come back by taking the top spot in the National Trial.

Lu Fan smiled knowingly and carefully put the letter into his pouch.

Even Du Yaqiu did not seem to know much about Senior Sister’s whereabouts. Thus, there was no point in Lu Fan asking further.

Originally, Lu Fan had wanted to use this brief time in Dragon Capital to give her the Never-Melting Ice, then say goodbye and tell her to wait for the good news. Now, it was clear he could only wait until Senior Sister returned to do so.

After receiving everything, Lu Fan also mentioned the Pet Slot Expansion Scroll to Du Yaqiu.

When Du Yaqiu heard that Lu Fan needed this item, she asked Lu Fan to wait a moment while she immediately went to have someone check.

If they had it in their Prosperous Heaven Auction House, they would definitely bring it over for Lu Fan to take.

After waiting for about ten minutes, Du Yaqiu returned quickly, her face apologetic as she said, “I’m really sorry, Little Brother, our auction house doesn’t have this item right now. Although this scroll isn’t that expensive, it’s a rare item to begin with. It’s also very niche in terms of demand. Only Beast Tamers and Knights would use it. So, the market retention rate is really too low for this item. In fact, even our auction house only occasionally has one or two put up for auction.”

“I’ve also asked some friends in the industry, and they don’t have Pet Slot Expansion Scrolls either.”
