Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 224, The Power of Dragon Language Resonance

Translator: Silavin

This Skill Book was the one claimed from the Treasure Map. It came along with the Blue Dragon King Dragon Egg, the Dragon Language Resonance Skill Book.

The Level Requirement to learn it was 35, so Lu Fan could only learn it now.

Lu Fan had been looking forward to this Skill for a long time, so he immediately used it.

Instantly, a new Skill appeared among Lu Fan’s Skills.

Dragon Language Resonance (Passive Skill, LV1) – When the Silver Dragon Rider uses the same Skill as the Pet Dragon, it triggers the Dragon Language Resonance Effect, increasing the Skill Power of both by 100%.
To Lu Fan’s delight, this Passive Skill could also be upgraded. This meant that as the Level of this Passive Skill increases, the Skill Power Enhancement would become even greater in the future.

[It might even reach 200% or 300%…] Lu Fan could already imagine how exhilarating it would be in the future when his Skills overlapped more and more with his Pet Dragons’ Skills, triggering Dragon Language Resonance when they released Skills together.

[Wait, couldn’t I already test out the power of this Skill?]

Lu Fan had already mastered a Dragon Language Magic that Xiao Ye also possessed, Magma Burst. That Skill was Xiao Ye’s strongest Single Target Skill. If both Lu Fan and Xiao Ye were to use it simultaneously, plus the Enhancement Effect of Dragon Language Resonance…

Lu Fan was already eager to try out the Effect of using Magma Burst together with Xiao Ye.

At this moment, Xing Chen was darting back and forth in the air, easily tearing apart one Demon Knight after another.

As the last Demon Knight was slain, sounds came again from within the opened castle gate.

This time, it was the sound of heavy footsteps.

*Roar–*

Accompanied by a roar that shook Heaven and Earth, a Monster walked out from inside the door.

It was an enormous Monster, with a body akin to a small mountain. It was so tall that when it walked out from inside the Dark Castle, it had to bend down to pass through the gate.

The Monster’s head looked like a giant frog. It had a huge single horn, and was extremely ugly. Its body was massive and bloated, somewhat similar to the Two-Headed Ogres. Similarly, it also dragged an enormous spiked club in its hand.

From the sparks created by the friction between the spiked club and the ground of the Dark Castle, it was clear that this spiked club was no mere decoration. If it was swung, a Holy Shield Knight most likely would not be able to withstand it.

On its body, it wore a layer of heavy armour, further confirming that this was a Warrior Type Monster.

To Lu Fan’s surprise, this wave of Monsters consisted of only this one creature, with no other Monsters as its guards.

Lu Fan quickly used Appraisal to check this Monster – Level 80 Platinum Grade Boss (Difficult Boss), Black Mountain Behemoth.

Its Attributes were a big step above the Monsters that had appeared from the Dark Castle before, which explained why this wave only had one Boss.

This Boss alone was enough to give people a headache, what need was there for guards?

After walking out of the Dark Castle, the Black Mountain Behemoth looked quite imposing. It swung the giant spiked club in its hand, opened its mouth full of saliva, and roared at Lu Fan, Xiao Ye, and Xing Chen, who were in the air.

Xing Chen was already in high spirits. She had instantly killed so many Monsters and the War Drummer earlier, yet she was not satisfied. Now that this Boss dared to actively provoke her, this ill-tempered ‘young lady’ wanted to show it a thing or two about the word ‘respect’.

She immediately wanted to throw another Shatter Star down to give this Black Mountain Behemoth below a huge gift.

However, considering that her Starlight Armour had just been used and was currently in Cooldown, Lu Fan did not allow her to take the risk.

After all, Xing Chen’s Level was too low, while the opponent was a High Level Boss with extremely High Strength Attributes.

Lu Fan had a hundred ways to kill this Boss, so there was naturally no need to let Xing Chen risk injury by fighting it.

Moreover, was this stage, with only one Boss, a good opportunity to experiment with Dragon Language Resonance?

At this moment, Xiao Ye was in her Destruction Dragon Form. Thus, Lu Fan directly ordered her to prepare Magma Burst.

In an instant, Xiao Ye’s eyes flashed with flames. At the same time, Lu Fan’s eyes also seemed to change, becoming identical to Xiao Ye’s, with flames flickering in his pupils.

Above Lu Fan’s head, the shadow of a Black Dragon appeared, almost identical to Xiao Ye below!

Two Black Dragons, one real and one illusory, moved in perfect sync, roaring towards the Black Mountain Behemoth.

Suddenly, the Black Mountain Behemoth’s body visibly stiffened, as it had already sensed the approaching danger.

Under its feet, the originally thick ice layer suddenly began to boil. A flash of fire flickered from who knows how many metres below the ice layer. Almost instantly, the ice layer melted completely.

Then, a beam of fire shot straight into the sky!

At this moment, it truly looked as if a volcano had erupted in front of the Dark Castle. Blasting flames accompanied by magma surged skyward, directly enveloping the Black Mountain Behemoth.

While the Black Mountain Behemoth was being tortured by pain, it was also somewhat dazed and resentful.

It had just come out, and had not even gotten to show off, and they were already attacking it?!

It was a Boss, after all. Could they not have shown it a little bit of respect!?

The scorching magma enveloped the Black Mountain Behemoth. This Boss had extremely high Endurance. Under such a powerful Skill, it still had not immediately been burned to a crisp, and even had the strength to struggle.

But what use was that?

Besides its immense power, Magma Burst also created a magma flooded flood, restricting the Black Mountain Behemoth’s movements.

This Black Mountain Behemoth was already trapped within the range of Magma Burst. Being burned alive was just a matter of time.

At this moment, while releasing Magma Burst, Lu Fan was also feeling the mysterious sensation of Dragon Language Resonance.

This feeling was as if he and Xiao Ye had produced unique pulse beats when releasing Skills, but the pulse beats of the two were now completely synchronised.

When this feeling appeared, Lu Fan clearly felt that he could release his Skill even more smoothly with even greater power. A power increase of a full 100%!

Originally, Lu Fan and Xiao Ye shared the same set of Attributes.

Now, man and Dragon were using the same Skill simultaneously, the power was the same from each caster, so it was doubled when combined. Now, added with Dragon Language Resonance, the combined Skill power of both man and Dragon increased by 100%.

Taken together, this time, when Lu Fan and Xiao Ye released Magma Burst simultaneously, it was four times the power of Xiao Ye releasing Magma Burst alone!

If Xiao Cui’s Support Skills were added to enhance this Skill, increasing its power to over ten times would be easy.

The power of one Magma Burst was already world-shaking. Now that Lu Fan had stacked it with Dragon Language Resonance and his own Dragon Language Skill, increasing its power fourfold. Naturally, this was not something the Black Mountain Behemoth could withstand.

The Black Mountain Behemoth only withstood the Effects of Magma Burst for a moment before throwing its head back with an unwilling howl of anguish and collapsing to the ground.

A Level 80 Platinum Grade Boss, just as it came out, was instantly killed by Lu Fan!

As the Black Mountain Behemoth fell, a golden light flashed over Xing Chen again. She had Levelled Up once more.
