Counterfeit Hero

With only one bullet left, Feiler shoved the gun into his mouth, hoping that when the gunshot sounded, it would all turn out to be a nightmare.

Like lightning, the mechanical arm precisely grabbed Feiler’s wrist, and with a crisp click, the gun in Feiler’s hand fell to the ground.

Fatty grinned at Feiler, but his eyes were terrifyingly cold.

”Did you think I’d let you die so easily?”

”What do you want?” Feiler rasped, cradling his crushed hand and glaring viciously at Fatty, ”You’re a soldier!”

”Remembering your soldier identity now?” Fatty flipped open the cockpit, jumped down, and kicked Feiler in the stomach, roaring, ”I’m not a soldier now; I’m a thug!”

He grabbed Feiler’s hair, exposing his gaunt and stern face, and smacked him with all his might. Blood splattered as Fatty’s face became hideously fierce, ”When you ordered the shelling of Puluo Town, why didn’t you remember you were a soldier?”

Feiler’s cheek immediately swelled, nose bleeding down his nose tip, ”Victory and defeat, war is war. Winning a war by any means is the duty of an excellent commander...”

”Damn your duty!” Fatty kicked Feiler’s stomach again, sending him three to four meters away, then strode forward, kicking and stomping, ”Do you qualify as a commander? I tell you, you’re nothing but a thoroughbred bastard!”

Grabbing Feiler’s hair with his left hand, Fatty slipped his right hand under his left arm, twisting his body, threw another backhand slap, ”To conceal your tracks, you dare to massacre all refugee settlements along the way, don’t you know those are people, not livestock!”

Feiler was slapped to the ground, his face full of blood and completely disfigured. He groaned, ”For achieving strategic goals, any number of deaths is worthwhile! They are nothing but humanoid cattle muddling through life; life and death hang by a thread to others.”

Fatty’s eyes blazed with bloodshot anger, as the person before him fused with the Great Generals Record photos in his mind. His fury was fueled by the fact that in this world, there were too many heartless bastards wearing the guise of great generals!

It was people like these who made the world filthy beyond measure!

Fatty picked up Feiler like a dead dog, ”An excellent commander... pity your creed didn’t win you this battle.” He punched Feiler’s gut, laughing wildly, ”I won!”

Before Feiler could eject the contents of his stomach violently, Fatty moved to his back in a flash, grabbing his arm and bending it hard.

A loud crack sounded, and Feiler let out a catastrophic scream.

”Thinking you can calculate everything, calculate my ass!” Fatty’s words were venomous stings reaching Feiler’s heart. The intense pain and humiliation quickly broke him, ”Kill me! If you have the guts, just kill me!”

”They are cattle to be slaughtered at your whim, you are the beast at my mercy!” Fatty picked up the gun from the ground, reversed the grip, and grabbed Feiler’s hand, ”You said for achieving strategic goals, any number of deaths is worthwhile!”

He lifted his bloodshot eyes, looking at the Northern Alliance officers trembling by the wall, gritting his teeth at Feiler, ”My strategic goal now, is to show everyone here what people like you will face!”

The pistol grip came crashing down, shattering one of Feiler’s fingers. Amid Feiler’s frantic screams, Fatty leaned close to his ear, roaring, ”I collect interest on this finger for the refugees along the No.7 Resource Highway.”

Once more the grip fell, blood spraying.

As Feiler screamed, Fatty trembled all over, ”This finger I smash for the civilians in the Calif River agricultural area! Those were six thousand lives!”

”This one is for Mishan’s refugees!”

”This one for the civilians of Puluo Town!”

With every blow of the grip, Feiler’s screams rang again and again. The aides, watching on, had long since lost control of their bowels. A day earlier, they still manipulated life and death haphazardly, and all life in their eyes was nothing but a string of numbers.

But now, with every blow of the grip, they realized, those numbers represented souls full of vengeance!

After breaking his fingers, Fatty stood up, tossing away the deformed gun, picking up another pistol, loaded it. He dragged Feiler in front of the aides, lifted him by his legs, pointed the gun at his rear coldly, ”I said, clean up your ass and wait for me. Well, here I am. There are many excellent commanders, you’re the first to enjoy a bullet up the ass!”

Fatty’s gaze left Feiler’s blood-stained face, passed through the walls, the earth, through the stars, and settled on the scene of the fierce battle days ago outside the Leray Central Star Domain.

A Leray Battleship spinning, disintegrating in explosions.

Faces appeared before Fatty. Admiral Snyder, Admiral Brown... Young talents of the Federation Fleet, the elite of the three hundred years of peace.

”This is the first ’excellent commander’ delivered to the altar,” Fatty smiled with an eerie expression that appeared bizarre to the others, ”There will be many more in the future!”
