Counterfeit Hero

Although at this moment, the Longxing Association only occupies thirty percent of the Space Port, the battle plans against the Northern Alliance and the fleets of the Three Major Schools have long been repeatedly refined. On land, the Longxing Association’s forces might not be enough to fight the Northern Alliance head-on, but in space, the officers can guarantee that in the first wave of attacks, they can destroy half of the Northern Alliance Fleet! If they want to seize a Space Port, it’s as easy as pie.

This also means that once the ground faces a heavy attack, or if an opportunity presents itself, the Longxing Association’s Army can exchange positions or deploy forces directly at the fastest speed! The integrated transportation system and control of space are the strategic foundational structures the Longxing Association has always relied upon!

Were it not for Chuckna launching a major counteroffensive against the Resk Star System, or for the Northern Alliance already defeating the Three Major Schools on the ground and starting to turn their sights on the Longxing Association, this organization would have continued to watch the fight from a distance, guarding the two major ports and the Space Port, waiting for the right moment. As long as the Northern Alliance Fleet is suppressed, they can continue to prolong the situation.

However, present at the scene were all advanced commanders of the Longxing Association, and they knew themselves, how did that Fatty, whom they’d never interacted with, know?

”I want to meet that Colonel Tian Xingjian.” After a long silence, Chief of Staff Cheng Zhixuan slowly said.

”Since collaboration is needed, this is also appropriate.” Su Kezhou nodded.

”Apart from expressing our stance, I want to know even more...” Cheng Zhixuan sighed bitterly, ”Is this guy really a ’worm in our belly’? I absolutely don’t believe he went around in such a large circle, manipulating the Northern Alliance’s defense system in such a way, merely as a coincidence fitting our strategic intent!”

”Connect the communications with the bandit army.....” Su Kezhou turned to the adjutant beside him, ”I want to meet their Colonel Tian.”

”Yes!” The adjutant accepted the order and left.

Turning back, Su Kezhou looked around at the officers focused on him and sternly ordered, ”Begin!”

The sound of footsteps erupted, and the already impatient officers saluted and immediately rushed out the door, each preparing. In the room, only Su Kezhou and Cheng Zhixuan were left.

The two walked to the window simultaneously, Cheng Zhixuan looking at Su Kezhou said, ”It’s really unbelievable, our strategic focus is in space, how did the bandit army know? Moreover, they forced the Northern Alliance to recall their forces and threatened the First Aviation Port, it’s as if they’ve paved the road before us. As long as we take the First Aviation Port, our Army can land in Central City at the earliest opportunity, creating an internal spark, achieving victory in one move, such an opportunity is simply unimaginable!”

Struggling to digest his own sense of shock, Cheng Zhixuan paused for a moment but still in a disbelieving tone: ”Also, the combat power of these fifty Mechas is truly alarming, this information, we need to report back home. Perhaps, we have really underestimated the role of these civilian Mech Knights! I just can’t understand, how did this Mecha Team manage to escape the Northern Alliance’s blockade, could it be, they can fly?”

”It’s said, he’s the only student of Russell.....” Su Kezhou replied irrelevantly. He looked at the calm and beautiful lake surface outside the window and murmured in a voice as low as a whisper, ”I also want to know... if another military genius has emerged in the world.”

At this moment, shouldn’t that damned Longxing Association be feeling tempted?

Fatty boredly sat in the Mecha cockpit, holding his cheek, considering whether to proactively call those cowardly turtles of the Longxing Association.

If he doesn’t tell them, he’s afraid his painstakingly made flirtations would have been a waste on blind eyes. If he does tell them, he’s afraid these fellows will take advantage of the situation, and in the end, they reap all the benefits.... It’s just like the emotional rollercoaster of dating, damn it, whoever can’t hold it first loses!

A waft of aroma came, and Fatty quickly jumped down from the Mecha, squeezing into the midst of the Mech Knights who were making a barbecue, putting his hands on his knees, squatting with an eager face, drooling at the sight of the golden, oily roasted wings.

At this time, the harassed and frantic Northern Alliance had already contracted their defensive lines, increasing the activity space of the bandit army Mecha Team significantly. They even had time to rest here and eat something.

Half an hour ago, after attacking the last camp of a Northern Alliance infantry company, Fatty quickly divided his forces, with Weii Jianshan leading a team to continue along the original route, and knocking out the enemy’s outer sentries at the perimeter of the First Aviation Port. Meanwhile, the main force of the team bypassed the spaceport to the south, ready to ambush from the rear once the enemy forces were drawn to Weii Jianshan.

This maneuver is risky. Whether it’s Weii Jianshan or Fatty’s side, there are Northern Alliance troops heading this way from behind. The entire situation is like a giant sandwich.

However, Fatty is not worried, as long as the Inner River is there, even if they temporarily can’t seize the First Aviation Port, there’s always a way out.

Feiler couldn’t understand it, but Cheng Zhixuan guessed most of it: the bandit army Mecha Team could repeatedly escape the Northern Alliance’s encirclement, precisely by utilizing the flying capability of the [Hummingbird] auxiliary thruster!

What seemed like an insurmountable obstacle to other Mechas, in Fatty’s hands, became a tool to turn the tide. The auxiliary thrusters of ordinary Mechas only have a short hovering capacity, able to fly up eight or nine hundred meters is already the pinnacle level for Mechas, attempting to fly over the three-kilometer-wide Inner River is practically impossible.
