Counterfeit Hero

The platoon leader of the Guard Armor Company clearly did not have any intention of underestimating the enemy. Upon completing the encirclement and approaching the suitable distance, he swiftly issued the order to fire. The Northern Alliance soldiers around only felt a sudden brightness before their eyes. After a hundred beams of light intermittently flashed, dense clusters of white light raced towards the center of the encirclement.

Only the sound of continuous explosions could be heard, the position of the Bandit Army Mecha was completely covered by energy cannon fire. The intense explosions piled up together, deafening.

The sight of the [Sphinx] was completely obstructed by the brightness of the explosions and the flying dust. Amidst the flashing white light, they could only see their companions beside them, not even the Mecha on the opposite side of the encirclement, let alone those Northern Alliance soldiers in the distance.

Thus, they didn’t know that at this moment, all the Northern Alliance soldiers’ faces had changed.

The infantry were standing far away and positioned slightly higher. Hence, they understood much better than those [Sphinx] what had happened in that instant.

Just at the moment when the white light of the explosion intermingled and flashed, ten Green Mechas leapt into mid-air. They were like acrobatic jump performers, unhurried and composed. In the air, after their ascending force disappeared, they simultaneously jerked their bodies, rising strangely once more. That kind of speed and amplitude was definitely not the effect generated by activating auxiliary thrusters!

At the center of the encirclement, when the explosion was at its fiercest.

They, under the cover of glaring white light, had already reached the highest point. Then, they rolled straight, feet up and head down, whereupon the Mechas bent and extended in an instant.

Like fireworks blossoming, ten Mechas, in ten directions, crashed into the [Sphinx]’s Mecha Group like bullets fired from a cannon....

.Sorry, I’m late again.

.Additionally, a few words about the previous chapter concerning Su Kezhou. (This won’t count towards word count)

I didn’t expect that such a backdrop would bring so much debate. Allow me to explain a bit.

First, the world in the book is not equated with reality. There’s no need to be obsessed.

Second, the scene background in the book must come from reality, with implicit references, borrowings, and imagination.

Third, any country is not a single entity. Various characters, cultures, and traditions endow this country with multifaceted qualities, some good, some bad. Some seemingly worth pride, others seemingly despised.

Resistance and compromise are precisely the intertwined themes this book attempts to portray. Su Kezhou’s words are actually an introduction to the complex realm of Chuckna. To be frank, this country will ultimately embark on a path of passionate resistance, but before that, it must undergo complex struggles. Otherwise, the story wouldn’t be interesting. In the fanciful sense, Fatty is influencing this country that has a tradition starkly contrary to Leray, yet in this war, it exhibits more restraint and realism.

Finally, the traits of Chuckna may have echoes of China, but never put the two on an equal footing. What I need to extract is our civilization, a deeply rooted thing that, although temporarily obscured, will erupt once stimulated. This point is closely linked to the mainline hidden throughout the book.

I’ve disclosed quite a lot, and I think further debates are unnecessary. For Su Kezhou, this is just one opinion. A bit of closer plot revelation, all glory belongs to Chuckna, not because Fatty is of the Chuckna Clan.

You all can chew over this sentence, connect it with previous chapters, and think about what situations might manifest under the command of the Alliance Command Center.

Additionally, I’ve already made it very clear earlier. All ethnicities were formed based on different regions after humanity embarked on the path of space colonization. For instance, the Vibo people, and the later immigrated Kentai People. After the Earth Federation disintegrated, a chaotic battle ensued across all Star Domains, blending all ethnicities. The only group I mentioned that remained independent was the Chuckna people, like a pebble in muddy water, always named Chuckna with a single ethnicity. However, Chuckna is not equivalent to China. In the book, the name Cage obviously is not a Chinese surname. While it is undeniable that I want to bestow Chuckna with some Chinese elements, equating it with China is not what I wish to see. Perhaps, in future chapters, I should draw a distinct dividing line.
