Counterfeit Hero

Very soon, the Longxing Association Mecha Warriors distributed along the east bank of the Inner River were surprised to find that the Bandit Army Mecha Team, which had been proceeding quietly on their division’s left flank, had appeared at the edge of the Inner River. To make room for them, a company from one regiment was even relocated to the rear.

Watching these silent mechas pass through the rubble of the district, forming a triangle assault formation on the Norris Street of the east bank of the already-bombed Inner River Bridge, the Longxing Association Mecha Warriors couldn’t help but feel a stir.

Inside these mechas sat their idols. They were people they longed to become! Previously, to watch any of their individual arena matches, you not only needed money but also a standing in the school of thought. For most of Mars’ youth, this was simply a dream!

But now, not only were they all appearing collectively in front of them, but they were also preparing to take collective action! What was even more thrilling was that they were on the same side!

This thought made every Longxing Association Warrior born on Mars go wild with excitement.

However... no one could figure out how these mechas would make their move.

In focused silence, the Bandit Army Mecha Team’s triangle assault formation was activated.

Activate, sprint, as fast as lightning.

In the blink of an eye, the triangle formation spaced fifty meters apart front to back had already charged to the riverbank?

”Do they want to jump the river?”

Just as this thought surfaced in the minds of the Longxing Association Warriors, they saw a Green Mecha at the forefront push off fiercely from the riverbank, with the auxiliary thruster’s nozzle emitting a long-lasting blue light, the entire mecha shot towards the opposite shore of the three-kilometer-wide Inner River like a cannonball.

The moment the first mecha shot out at lightning speed, two mechas from the second row also stepped onto the riverbank. The same actions, the same speed, this time, were like two cannonballs firing off.

Subsequently, came the third row of three mechas, the fourth row of four mechas... With sharp sounds piercing the air, the rising rows of mechas shocked everyone present.

A speed of 900 kilometers per hour, across the three-kilometer wide Inner River, required twelve seconds!

These twelve seconds, under the awestruck gaze of soldiers on both shores, felt as long as a century.

Especially for Cheng Zhixuan and Cage in the observation post, who nearly had their eyeballs pop out. Flyover, this word, meant something significant to every Mechanical Warrior!

This indicated that whoever owned such mecha would face no geographical obstacles! In ground warfare, they could truly free themselves from the constraints of roads and appear in any location! Be it steep mountains or swampy marshlands, as long as they desired, there was no place they couldn’t cross!

This all-terrain movement capability that disregards terrain, even the latest Eleventh Generation Mecha developed by Chuckna hadn’t solved. It was also the ability that armored weapons had longed for since their inception!

Cheng Zhixuan finally understood why the bandit army could come and go freely in Central City. Why ten mechas could infiltrate the Northern Alliance Base. All the answers lay in the flight capability of these mechas! He clenched his fist tightly, determined to bring this armored force under control.

Twelve seconds passed in a flash.

When the Northern Alliance Soldiers on the west bank snapped back to reality and started firing, the Bandit Army Mecha Team had already landed.

They departed in a triangle attack formation and landed in a neat triangle attack formation, without the slightest disorder.

Attack, breakthrough, slice, massacre.

Scattered across various districts to avoid being caught in Longxing Association artillery fire, the Northern Alliance 3rd Infantry Division couldn’t organize a coherent resistance. Tearing through the defenses, the bandits pierced through, continuously sending back information to guide the artillery fire on the east bank. In a short tens of minutes, two infantry battalions and over a dozen artillery positions of the Northern Alliance 3rd Mechanized Infantry Division were annihilated completely.

And at this moment, the Longxing Association Armor Group, trembling with excitement from the bandit squad’s offensive, began to rebuild the bridge once more. The disarrayed Northern Alliance infantry couldn’t organize sufficiently strong firepower. By the time the first Northern Alliance Armored Battalion crossed the bridge and joined the offensive of their idols excitedly, the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Division’s defense line finally collapsed.

The iron tide rolled forward. When the bandit army mechas completed their sweeping motion like autumn wind sweeping fallen leaves and returned to the left flank, a Longxing Association Mecha Warrior who witnessed the entire battle process expressed the sentiment of all Northern Alliance Soldiers.

”Damn impressive!”

In the silent hall, Feiler and Fatty stood face-to-face.

One inside the mecha with a grin, the other, outside the mecha holding a gun, looking grim.

”Anyone else who wants to surrender, put down your gun.” Ignoring Fatty and Feiler, the energy machine guns of the other three miniature mechas gathered interlacing light threads as they approached the crowd: ”Men to the left, women to the right, those who want to die pick up a gun and stand in the middle...”

A second later, Selwal decisively dropped the gun in his hand.

Next was the second, then the third. Moments later, in the Command Room, only Feiler was left holding a gun. Everyone else had been disarmed and detained.

”Did you clean your ass?” Fatty asked Feiler, raising an eyebrow.

”Bang!” ”Bang!” ”Bang!” ”Bang!”

Feiler repeatedly pulled the trigger at the annoying fat face inside the mecha’s transparent cockpit lid. The bullets hit the transparent armor of the mecha, leaving no mark, all bouncing off harmlessly.
