Counterfeit Hero

The members of this company have always regarded themselves highly. Not to mention these Northern Alliance infantry present, even the Sharp Blade Company members in the Blood Shadow Mecha Group, they don’t really pay much attention to. Originally, they were the elite among them. Many of them had trained in various countries’ Mecha groups and joined a sect upon arriving in the Free World to learn close combat with Mecha. Some of them were exceptionally gifted and were exceptionally promoted to Core Disciples by various sects.

However, these individuals with hidden identities hold no loyalty to the sects. Their purpose in learning those techniques is merely to perfect their killing skills! The sect Mecha knights who taught them techniques wouldn’t have thought that beneath these guys’ respectful exteriors is contempt for civilian Mecha knights’ combat techniques!

This company represents the most elite forces of the Northern Alliance. They enjoy all kinds of privileges: piloting the best Mecha, priority in resupply, enjoying the best treatments, earning the most generous salaries, and living in the best dormitories. Even when dining at the base, they have a private cafeteria.

Of course, they also receive the most rigorous training.

Everyone acknowledges that this group, who looks down on everyone, is the most elite force of the Northern Alliance.

And now, this force has finally taken action when Selwal and the entire Northern Alliance face a threat!

Seeing the icy Guard Mecha Company silently cross the infantry’s already scarred front line and charge towards the Bandit Army Mecha Team, everyone couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. Some soldiers, almost on the brink of collapse, even maliciously thought, if five against one could turn into a pulp, then what would ten against one look like?

As Fatty saw the first Mecha appear on the horizon, he knew the Northern Alliance had brought out all their reserves.

When he was a mechanic soldier, Fatty had come into contact with most military Mecha. And in the lab at Gallipalan Military Academy, and in later battles, Fatty became increasingly familiar with various countries’ mainstream military Mecha. The Mecha before him, he recognized at a glance.

Four limbs and body resembling feline animals, the head of Pharaoh Hafra, besides the Seventh Generation Sphinx from the Suss nation, what other Mecha could be of such a form?

Fifth to Eighth Generation Mecha marks a divide in modern Mecha. Although the Seventh Generation Mechas like the Sphinx started development and production over a decade ago, countries have already reached a consensus on strengthening close combat capabilities in Mecha technology reserves. Some technologies first began to be applied on Sixth Generation Mechas; by the time of the Seventh Generation Mechas, a relatively systematic close combat capability had been formed.

Beast-shaped Mechas are particularly favored by Mecha designers worldwide for enhanced speed and agility in close combat. Gazalin’s Demon Tiger and the Sphinx of the Suss Empire are prime examples!

As a veteran great power and military strong nation, the performance of the Sphinx naturally far exceeds that of the Demon Tiger. This Mecha embodies the simplicity and practicality of the Suss Mecha, being very reliable in any combat environment and intensity, while inheriting the extreme approach of Suss Mecha designers, making it very formidable in close combat performance.

Its speed is only average, but normal Mechas often struggle to adapt to its charge and directional change speed. Moreover, its limbs possess strong attack power, and many Mechas, once hit, will have their armor and shells instantly torn apart. More importantly, this Mecha’s combat style focuses on entanglement, which means it has strong defensive capabilities and outstanding battle endurance.

Fatty once studied this Mecha and found that, from the category of beast-shaped Mechas, like Magic Beast Mechas, it is considered a standard-type structure with strong upgrade potential.

Judging by the external armor and weapon systems and other external parts on the hundred Sphinxes appearing before him, they have evidently been upgraded.

After the hundred Sphinxes emitting coldness crossed the front line, the surrounding Northern Alliance soldiers, already suffering from combat, ceased their futile shooting. This isn’t because the Guard Armor Company had any knightly quirks or warrior reverence. In fact, the warriors just didn’t want their gunfire to hit the rear of their Mecha. That kind of shooting would not only be ineffective against the bandit army but would also hinder the advance of the Guard Armor Company.

Besides, they outnumbered the enemy tenfold. With the strength of the Guard Armor Company, losing is practically impossible, right? Some warriors even took time to adjust their battlefield recorders, ready to capture exciting moments.

Watching the relaxed faces of Northern Alliance soldiers on the auxiliary electronic glasses, and seeing the Sphinxes, like a pride of lions taking steps of jungle kings, ruthlessly advancing towards their positions, Fatty lit a cigarette, bit it in his mouth, squinted his eyes, and smiled.

”I say...” Fatty chuckled: ”Shall we give them a bit of a shock?”

”Sure thing!” The warriors eagerly prepared themselves.

In the blink of an eye, the hundred Sphinxes had already spread their wings, surrounding the ten Bandit Army Mechas standing nonchalantly in the middle of the clearing.

The distance between both sides quickly shortened in this moment of motionlessness and motion.
