Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 432: After Modification: Volume 5 Chapter 39 Beating_2

Without warning, the golden [Divine] leaped backward. Newson, inside the cockpit, was drenched in cold sweat, his hand speed pushed to the extreme, using all his strength to block the attacks.

”Swish!” Douglas stood up abruptly, and all the Feiyang soldiers widened their eyes in shock. They couldn’t have imagined that their familiar [Divine], in the hands of the Nineteen Division commander, could demonstrate such terrifying power, as if he had been piloting this mecha through countless battles all along!

The training ground was so quiet you could hear a leaf fall. At this moment, only the sounds of punches and kicks exchanging between the black and gold mechas and the intense heartbeats of the onlooking soldiers could be heard.

Ten minutes passed, twenty minutes passed... How many punches had been thrown? A hundred punches, a thousand punches, or ten thousand punches? No one could keep count.

The black [Divine]’s attacks were like an apocalyptic storm, relentless, merging into a giant wave that swallowed everything before it under the aiding winds of chaos.

The thunderous clashing of metal upon metal was deafening, making everyone’s hearts beat faster and faster! Some people even felt so panicked and short of breath that they had to cover their ears.

Unending attacks, nobody knew when this frenzied black [Divine] would stop. It was like a wild wind pounding upon the golden [Divine], rolling, its form flickering in and out of sight, and its punches moving so fast they became invisible, only the ears could capture the sound of the torrential onslaught.

The hearts of each Feiyang mecha soldier sank to the bottom, watching one of the only two Level 9 mecha warriors in the six divisions being beaten with no power to retaliate. Their barely supporting posture was like a small sapling that could be uprooted by the wild wind at any moment!

How could anyone believe what was happening before their eyes? Newson, a top mecha master with hand speed over fifty-five moves per second!

Feiyang’s mecha soldiers could believe both sides were evenly matched, could believe the golden [Divine] would fall in a prolonged struggle, could believe the black [Divine]’s mechanical control was faster and more precise, and could believe that a person like Fatty, who clearly wasn’t a good bird, used despicable methods to achieve victory. But they couldn’t believe this kind of brutal, child-bullying style of beating!

Yes, it was truly a mad beating!

At this moment, Fatty no longer cared about control, discarding everything to the nine heavens, swinging the oldest Turtle Boxing technique, wantonly expending his hand speed to brutally beat a Level 9 mecha warrior who had lost the initiative.

”It feels so good!” After half an hour of beating, with a loud shout from Fatty, the already curled-up golden [Divine] was kicked into a somersault, tumbling far away.

”Boom”, the golden [Divine] bounced twice on the ground, lying still like a snake with its spine shattered. The most shocking sight was that the ends of the super alloy mechanical arms of both the golden [Divine] and the black [Divine] were battered out of shape.

These were among the toughest parts of a mecha, used to break through armor, yet they had been destroyed by such relentless pounding. Everyone inside and outside the training ground was lost in despair. Even the Leray hooligans were no exception.

For Douglas and all the Feiyang mecha soldiers, this was more like a nightmare. Their top mecha warrior had been so easily crushed from beginning to end, without even a single counterattack.

Inside the mecha cockpit, Newson was trembling with rage. He knew he had suffered a crushing defeat in the eyes of others, and he also knew that, in reality, he had suffered a significant, suffocating loss!

From the start of the match, that Fatty had despicably seized the first move, and in the ensuing frantic attempts to block, the guy didn’t care about the other mecha at all, smashing wildly in an all-out collision! Using his first-move advantage, he attacked the joints of Newson’s mechanical hands head-on with every punch.

No mecha, no matter how good, could endure having its engine pushed to the limit by such pounding! By the time the mecha’s arms had become sluggish from the constant blocking, and Newson realized what was happening, his hand speed could no longer be fully utilized!

And that Fatty, constantly pressing him with speed, flamboyantly displaying his wildness. This indignity was so severe that even vomiting couldn’t relieve it. That Fatty wasn’t even human! His venting, frenzied attacks, were simply toying with all spectators.

Newson really wanted to jump out and loudly accuse Fatty of being despicable and shameless, but the undeniable fact was that Fatty had the same combat strength as him, and had defeated him in a head-to-head fight!

In the deathly silence, Fatty slowly walked out of the black [Divine]. He stood there without any expression, his body as straight as a javelin, his gaze sharp. He swept across the entire scene, finally landing his eyes on Rashid, and said in a calm voice, ”Assemble!”

”Assemble!” With Rashid’s loud shout, the warriors of the Nineteen Division First Group immediately swarmed out. In ten seconds, they transitioned from a hundred-meter sprint to standing as still as Peace Lake, just like the most elite troops.

Fatty said coldly, ”Two out of three rounds, we’ve already won. From today onwards, we are the most elite special-level troops in the war zone, enjoying all priority rights.”

”For the final hand-to-hand combat, we’ll just concede!” He glanced at Douglas, then suddenly jumped up, kicking a leg like a steel whip onto the data collection instrument floating beside him. The dozens of kilograms of metal sphere shot out like a cannonball, creating a huge hole in the central computer on the sidelines.

This fierce and ruthless windmill kick startled several Feiyang combat experts who were preparing for the third round of the hand-to-hand combat on the sidelines. Their facial muscles trembled, chills ran up their spines, and their mouths opened wide enough to swallow an egg.

”What I want to tell you is...” Fatty looked at the soldiers of the First Group, snorted coldly, ”People of the Nineteen Division are not to be toyed with. Next time you see something like this, do you know what to do?”

”Beat the hell out of them!” The hooligans responded with naive, cute, clever looks.

”Correct answer, form two columns, return to camp.” Fatty couldn’t control his expressions, nodding with a smile on his face.

As they passed the spectator area while forming up, the hooligans held back their laughter: ”Just because they’re a superpower, they think they can show off? If they provoke our commander, his showing off will frustrate them to death!”

Having gained enough prestige and profit, the Leray people swaggered away. The Independent Army and Freedom Fighters also gradually dispersed, leaving only the Feiyang soldiers still dazed by the sudden blow.

A group of Leray people giggling and escorting Fatty had just returned to the camp when they heard a crisp voice, ”Fatty.” The hooligans turned to see, standing at the door of one of the camp dorms, wearing an apron and holding a spatula, was Bonnie, gently calling him, ”I made some food, come and eat.”
