Chapter 416: 5 Volumes 31 Chapters Feiyang Armored Division_2

”What I’m worried about is the Southeast Expeditionary Army!” Hailig frowned and said, ”Their request must be aimed at throwing both sides into combat in Mezrich. As long as Stephen collapses, the Freedom Front will immediately grow significantly; at that time, dealing with Reinhardt and Desic here will be much easier. But they are too eager for success; Stephen’s strength is evident, this plan is simply impossible to accomplish. Since they dare to propose such a plan, I’m afraid in the future...”

Gordon fell into a silence; although Gazalin is a small nation, the Gazalin army has been honed on the battlefield over time, they’ve seen many strategic plans but have never seen ones so unrealistic.

Sometimes, many mistakes are made in haste.

The true essence of war is like Mount Tai pressing down, using the conventional to defeat the unconventional, the strong to overpower the weak, being steady and advancing step by step, leaving no chance for the enemy to recover!

However, this time, the Southeast Expeditionary Army Command that oversees the entire situation issues a strategic plan that is speculative from the beginning, leading one to question their understanding of war.

”Admiral Fiscella is still considered a great general, ranked even above General Russell. Of course, the fact that Feiyang is a superpower plays a role in this, but it also proves his capability. After all, he has risen to this position step by step with military merits. Since the Military God Hastings himself sent him here, there must be a reason. Their envoy should arrive soon, perhaps they already have a mature battle plan.”

When mentioning Military God Hastings, Hailig also fell silent; that revered god of war is not only an idol for Feiyang Republic soldiers but for every soldier of humanity.

At his level, many things are beyond what people like them can comprehend. Perhaps behind this strategic plan, there is an influence from that person.

”Report to the General!” Gordon’s confidential secretary knocked on the door and walked in, ”Admiral Tangks, Commander of the 6th Fleet, has sent a message: The 6th Fleet and local fleets have already rendezvoused with the Expeditionary Army’s First Mixed Fleet, and giant transport ships carrying six armored divisions are entering the atmosphere under fleet escort. They request land-based air force to take off and assist space-based fighters in locking down the descent corridor, establishing a defense zone.”

”Alright, noted.” Gordon waved his hand, gesturing for the confidential secretary to leave, then turned to Hailig, ”They’re almost here, roughly another half an hour; it’s just right for us to go to the airport now.”

”Humph.” Hailig snorted with a sullen face, hesitated for a moment, finally picked up his hat, muttering as he followed Gordon out the door.

******************

Two [Blue Whale] class giant transport ships and two [Mammoth] class giant transport ships slowly descended from the sky. In the distance, they were just four small black dots, but as they approached for landing, they seemed like four drifting cities suspended before people’s eyes.

If it wanted to, a slight change in position could turn all its greeters into mincemeat. Hence, the fall of any giant transport ship is a disaster.

[Blue Whale] is a third larger than [Mammoth]; if only transporting the force of six armored divisions, two [Blue Whales] would suffice. The eighty thousand mechas, with their unimaginable weight and size, in fact, only occupy the lowest mecha-specific cabin layer of each [Blue Whale].

Thus, it’s evident why giant transport ships have extremely strict landing manuals, why so many fighters escort them, and why they have thick armor and powerful energy shields—because the fall of a transport ship represents the loss of the three or four elite armored divisions it carries!

However, destroying a giant transport ship is not easy. Without the main cannon strike of space battleships, relying solely on land-based fighter missiles and energy cannons requires a considerable scale to achieve.

This time, the two [Mammoths] accompanied the mission to transport the weapons and supplies involved in this operation. Modern warfare is fought with material consumption, something unimaginable in the age of Ancient Earth. Back then, so-called major powers and superpowers combined and multiplied by ten years of their production GDP could barely sustain a micro localized war today.

The enormous airport, the giant transport ship tarmacs for four circular ships flickered with indicator lights; spider-web-like passages already opened imposing gates. These densely packed passages can swiftly disperse and transport the mechas swarming out from the transport ships.

As the transport ships finally landed, countless hatches opened simultaneously, rows of mechas orderly and swiftly followed automatic guided vehicles into the passages; they would march directly out of the airport through the passages, then gather at the already arranged base camp area.

”Heaven’s Punishment!” Gordon and Hailig exchanged glances, seeing shock in each other’s eyes, they suddenly realized that they had overlooked one fact: combat power involves not only warriors but also equipment!

Feiyang Republic had already equipped Ninth Generation Mechas ten years ago, and [Heaven’s Punishment], is the best-performing Ninth Generation Mecha in Feiyang Republic’s arsenal, with all its indicators nearly approaching Tenth Generation Mechas!
