Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 422: Volume 5, Chapter 33: Tactical Seminar

After exchanging pleasantries, the military personnel, dressed in various uniforms, sat down neatly to begin the combat analysis meeting. This was the first battle analysis meeting for the various factions assembled under the banner of the Southeast Expeditionary Army of the Fei Alliance.

This meeting also marked that the Southeast Expeditionary Army had already formed a massive group.

The main force of the space forces is composed of two large fleets from the Feiyang and two mixed fleets from the Ryan Republic. In total, they possess six space carriers, thirty-six giant battleships, eighty medium-sized battleships, and hundreds of cruisers and high-speed assault ships.

The original 6th Fleet of Gazalin and the Little Pyrenees regional fleet, under the Independent Army, after merging, have a total of one old-fashioned carrier, five large battleships, twelve medium-sized battleships, eighty-one assault cruisers, and some escort ships.

According to the plan, the 6th Fleet and Little Pyrenees regional fleet will be reorganized into the Expeditionary Army’s 5th Fleet, responsible for protecting the transportation lines within the star system. However, before Mezrich’s action against Stephen ends, they temporarily maintain their original structure to cooperate with the two Feiyang fleets for space blockade, in order to thoroughly gain air superiority over the planet.

The central main force of the ground forces is similarly composed of eighteen elite armored divisions from the two major countries, Feiyang and Ryan. Since they are fighting far away from their homeland, they need to focus on bringing high combat effectiveness units, so there is no mechanized infantry in the composition.

Among these eighteen armored divisions, twelve belong to the Feiyang Republic and six to the Ryan Republic. The six armored divisions deployed to Mezrich are all Level 1 forces from the Feiyang Republic. The rest are stationed on Minsk Planet.

The bandit army became the newly-built 19th Division of the Expeditionary Army, and the six armored divisions of the Independent Army were integrated into four large armored divisions, numbered the newly-built 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd Divisions of the Expeditionary Army.

The Freedom Front’s armored strength is the weakest. After reorganizing the scattered mechanical teams, along with the looted Mecha equipment and some Mecha provided by the Expeditionary Army, they managed to form a large armored division, though their combat strength still needs refinement.

The infantry, as the main defense force on the battlefield, includes more than twenty mechanized infantry divisions of the Independent Army and eight infantry divisions formed by the Freedom Front.

These infantry divisions are equipped with a standard self-propelled artillery regiment, with each squad having one heavy energy gun and a portable missile launcher, along with a few transport Mecha and flying car modified transport vehicles, barely possessing a certain degree of combat and mobility, belonging separately to the First and Second Infantry Army Groups of the Mezrich Battlefield.

Besides these two infantry army groups, the Mezrich Battlefield Command also has a structure for the Third Infantry Army Group.

The Third Army Group is mainly composed of the Freedom Front’s forces. Because the Freedom Front is expanding rapidly, small resistance organizations and individuals are continuously gathering under the Freedom Front’s banner. However, due to equipment deficiencies and lack of personnel training, these people have not undergone systematic training, and the insurgents with only energy rifles cannot form combat strength in modern warfare. Therefore, this army group can only be considered a super-large reserve training camp.

The arrival of Douglas injected a dose of excitement into everyone’s hearts. Just thinking about the six armored divisions gave everyone a strong sense of confidence, and the atmosphere of the meeting became much more lively. However, the requirements for this battle are indeed too bizarre; to annihilate twenty armored divisions and nearly a hundred infantry divisions of the enemy within two weeks seems impossible for any of the officers present.

Although everyone knew that if they could smoothly achieve the battle objective and complete the annihilation, the power of the Southeast Expeditionary Army would sharply escalate, and the current tight situation in terms of material equipment could be greatly alleviated, implementing the strategic deployment of splitting Mezrich in two. However, without the capabilities, who would dare to undertake such a delicate task?

After Gordon explained the current troop distribution and battle situation, all eyes focused on Fatty. The Combat Department had been deliberating for several days, and the proposals barely crafted by the staff had been rejected one by one. Although the veterans present had fought many battles, they had no clue about such an inexplicable mission. Wasn’t this Fatty the one who proposed a decapitation plan? Bring it out then.

”General Tian.” Gordon handed the laser pointer to Fatty. According to the meeting agenda, next was Tian Xingjian’s proposal for everyone to discuss.

”Regarding General Fiscella’s proposal to completely annihilate the Stephen Group within two weeks, I understand the significant importance of achieving this strategic goal, but...” Fatty’s opening words took a turn, spreading his hands: ”To wipe out the opponent in the overall battle is almost an impossible task, and even if it was, it couldn’t be completed in two weeks.”

”General Tian...” Douglas, who had been watching with interest, frowned slightly and said, ”May I interrupt... from my perspective, it’s not impossible. In fact, we made this strategic arrangement after repeated simulations.”

”Really?” Fatty looked skeptical.

Douglas nodded seriously, but unexpectedly, that Fatty scratched his head awkwardly and, without feeling ashamed, said, ”Great, then you tell it.”
