Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 405: Revised: Volume 5 Chapter 26 Increasing Hand Speed

This simulation cabin is the private collection of the 91st Division Commander Kruze.

As it is a collection, it is naturally expensive. In fact, this luxurious virtual cabin is the top configuration among the simulation cabins issued by the game operator, the Youli Company, which is now ranked twelfth in the world. It is worth 160,000 Leray Yuan, equivalent to nearly 600,000 Canadian Dollars.

In the territory of the Independent Army, Fatty had already made himself a familiar face these days. This guy, who was shameless for a long time, saw this game cabin and naturally had the idea of taking it back. To make Kruze willingly offer the collection, the swindler only used one sentence, which was to send the leftovers that were nominally assigned to the bandit army to the Independent Army.

Kruze had unspeakable bitterness and could only comply. On the surface, he had to appear grateful, otherwise, if he showed a little dissatisfaction, Fatty would complain to everyone like a nagging in-law. Every time they met, Kruze would be subjected to Fatty’s whiny complaints, making him so uneasy that he couldn’t eat or sleep well.

After sending out the cherished simulation cabin, and owing a huge favor, Kruze started to avoid Fatty whenever he saw him.

Boiling someone else’s bones in someone else’s oil, taking someone else’s things to gain someone else’s benefits, and finally forcing the person to be grateful and owe a favor. This behavior earned the bandit army warriors’ complete respect. These bastards emulated him, and soon carved out a reputation for shamelessness and brazenness in the Independent Army.

Sky-Filling Fire seems to echo the current state of the world. In its two years of operation, the game has achieved immense success. The Leray Federation’s largest private mecha manufacturer, Youli Company, soared from thirty-third to twelfth in the world rankings thanks to the game’s success. With over 200 billion in revenue, it also brought in hundreds of billions in taxes to the war-torn Leray Federation.

More importantly, the system, promoted by the Federation, cultivated a large number of mecha warriors. The days when recruits entered warrior training camps without ever touching a mecha or knowing any controls are virtually gone. This has a significant effect in supplementing the Federation’s troops and narrowing the combat power gap with the cosmic military powers.

The research of two hundred Ninth Generation [Hunter] mechas by the bandit army is also closely related to the data collected from the war’s virtual network. Especially the Gallipalan Military Academy’s research lab, which, through access to core data from the network, gained much inspiration and insight.

During his free time, Fatty returned to Sky-Filling Fire once again. His continuously improving hand speed was both a delight and a scare; he had to constantly train to truly integrate hand speed with mecha martial arts. The return of the perverted master SM01314 immediately sparked another frenzy.

After all, over a year had passed, and the game’s dynamics were no longer the same as when Fatty had last played.

In the current war network, civilian and military experts were proliferating. As the game progressed, the emergence of more mecha parts made assembling advanced mechas no longer a difficult task. Among the system-provided mecha combinations, there were already many Seventh and even Eighth Generation mechas.

Some master mechanics, through team cooperation, even created several unique mechas. The once-dominating [Magic Beast] of SM01314 was now far behind.

Fatty’s reappearance thrilled all the players who had deep grudges against him. They couldn’t wait to crush the most notorious scoundrel in the game’s history.

When SM01314 appeared in the Fighting Hall, a flood of challenges immediately overwhelmed the challenge channel. Rows upon rows of hostile provocations, curses, and tearful accusations left many new players who came later dumbfounded. To be universally hated to this extent, this [Magic Beast] had to be the first in history. What incredibly heinous acts had he committed?

No need to understand the history; within minutes, these newcomers joined the ranks of the accusers.

Sporting the name SM01314, [Magic Beast] came in with a bold statement: ”Men, get lost, I don’t have time to play with you. Women, come for some hugs.”

There were vile people before, but none like this. There were arrogant people before, but none this arrogant! This infuriated all the players, whether they had a grudge against him or not. This troublemaker angered every man with the first half of his sentence and every woman with the second half.

He was like a walking collection of all human vices! In the real world, it’s a wonder how such a person could still be alive and not strung up.

Nobody believed that in reality, this guy was a cowardly Fatty, and precisely because no one knew him online, he behaved so wantonly.

Everyone was eagerly waiting for [Magic Beast] to leave the Fighting Hall, believing that once he left the system’s no-private-fights zone, he would undoubtedly learn what the ultimate record of SM stood for. With millions bullying one person simultaneously, that record would probably be eternal.

Fatty naturally wouldn’t go out. After all, he was one of the designers of the program. He knew his character best suited staying inside the Fighting Hall.

Standing proudly under the Challenge Wall, Fatty saw that all the countless challenges displayed the same name: SM01314. The feeling of being the center of attention made him ecstatic. As someone who had never been important from childhood to adulthood, this feeling was incredibly satisfying.

Seeing this guy hesitate to pick a challenge, the hall was quickly filled with curses.

Fatty expertly blocked all provocations and insults. He picked and chose like selecting dried pork and finally shouted, ”Who’s Sally?”

”Me!” An [Angel] squeezed over, but with a man’s voice, trembling with excitement, ”Did you choose me? I’ll crush you!”

”Get lost!” Fatty snapped, not even looking up, ”I’m just taking you out for a walk. Go pee.”

”Who’s Elizabeth?”

”Me!” A sweet voice replied.

”Come out, let me see your three measurements. If it’s not tempting, I’m not fighting you.”

”I will kill you!”

”Yuliy!... Your measurements are nice, but your nose is too big. Maybe next time.”

Before driving everyone insane, Fatty finally made a choice. A Fifth Generation [T-Rex] mecha ranked 100,000th became his first opponent.

The battle was swift and simple. So simple that the moment the two met on the Gobi Map, it was over.

Fatty used a single kick! He crippled the [T-Rex].

”Hiss!” The spectators collectively gasped. It was the hardest and fastest Groin Kick they had ever seen.

Next was a Fifth Generation [Rainbow] mecha ranked 50,000th.

This time, all the players witnessed the most bizarre Dragon Seizes Pearl technique. [Magic Beast]’s two Magic Palms simultaneously grasped [Rainbow]’s chest and squeezed it. That squeeze was artistically beautiful.

The female warrior logged off in tears.

Fatty cried out in grievance, ”It was just a squeeze! How was I supposed to know your big-looking chest wasn’t firm, and the sagging wasn’t my fault, it was your mecha’s issue... Hey, don’t leave, I’ll help you fix your chest to be perkier than the original.”

After two battles, Fatty didn’t continue. That day, he exchanged his winning points for parts, hid in the system’s workshop, upgraded [Magic Beast], and explored ideas for modifying [Logic].

In the following days, SM01314 showed up punctually in the war’s virtual network. His presence made the mecha fighting hall packed, even attracting warship commanders, fighter pilots, and battle tacticians who didn’t play mecha combat. They came to witness the world’s number one scoundrel in action.

Fatty didn’t disappoint his supporters. Every day, he held two duels, rain or shine. Starting from a rank of 100,000, he moved up to 50,000, 20,000, 10,000, all the way to 500, 400... 100, 99, 98...

His hand speed continuously increased. After mastering martial arts, his physical constitution was twice as strong as before, his strength three times as great, and his speed, after breaking through the bottleneck, seemed limitless. In less than a month, he broke through to 70 moves per second!

moves per second is a Level 9 warrior, 60 is a Level 10 warrior, but what is 70?

In this world, 70 moves per second is the War God! There are fewer than ten people who can surpass this hand speed. The constant increase even alarmed Fatty himself.

He worried that if his body and hand speed secrets were exposed, he might get ambushed and captured for research. His greatest concern was: ”Damn it, if I jerk off, will my junk survive this hand speed?” Thinking it over, skin damage was inevitable.
