Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 419: Volume 5, Chapter 31, Feiyang Armored Division_5 Modified:

This time, the reason they followed the two [Mammoth] was to transport the weaponry and supplies involved in this battle. Modern warfare is all about material consumption. In the Ancient Earth era, such consumption was unimaginable. Back then, the so-called major nations and superpowers combined, even if you multiplied their GDP by ten, could barely sustain a micro-scale local war today.

In the enormous airport, the four circular giant transport ship landing pads were flashing with indicator lights. The passageways, like a spider web, had already opened their huge gates. These densely packed passageways could distribute the Mechas swarming out from the transport ships in the shortest time.

The transport ships finally landed. As countless hatches opened simultaneously, rows of Mechas neatly and swiftly followed the automated guide vehicles into the passageways. They would move through the passageways directly out of the airport and then gather at the already arranged base camp.

”Heaven’s Punishment!” Gordon and Hailig looked at each other in shock, suddenly realizing that they had overlooked a fact; combat power isn’t just about the warriors, but also the equipment!

The Feiyang Republic had begun commissioning the Ninth Generation Mecha as early as ten years ago, and [Heaven’s Punishment] was the best-performing Ninth Generation Mecha among those commissioned by the Feiyang Republic. Its various indicators were already approaching the Tenth Generation Mecha!

With such Mechas, the combat power of six divisions is imaginable! Stephen’s tired Seventh Generation Mechas were no match for these Mechas at all. The two sides differed by two whole generations! It was an overwhelmingly superior advantage!

What shocked the two even more was the two regiments appearing behind these Ninth Generation Mechas. These two regiments were clearly not ordinary full-strength regiments; their numbers were much smaller, but their Mechas were enough to make everyone’s minds go blank. [Divine], the top Special Mecha equipped by Gazalin’s elite Special Forces, was the world’s most advanced Mecha!

Although the Eleventh Generation Mecha had already appeared, it was just newly developed and had not yet been tested in battle. Its equipment quantity could not form a strong combat capability. [Divine], on the other hand, had been the cutting-edge Mecha that had been tested over the years and earned a formidable reputation in the regional defense of the Feiyang Republic!

Gordon and Hailig fell silent. After so many years of fighting, through so much bloodshed and gunfire, they finally realized how backward and immature Gazalin and nations like the Feiyang Republic really were compared to superpowers.

No wonder that Fatty said that just five Armored Divisions would be enough to ensure a successful decapitation strike.

The combat strength of these six divisions was incredibly powerful. Gordon and Hailig even began to calculate the time of Stephen’s doom.

**********

”Six divisions, it seems there’s no problem defeating Stephen,” Fatty gently swirling the ice-cold whiskey in his glass, looked at Bonnie seriously and said, ”But do you think Reinhardt and the Desic Empire will just sit back and watch us destroy Stephen, take over everything, and then turn around to deal with them?”

Bonnie shook her head, her eyes slightly misty and cold, ”No, he’ll definitely do something!”
