Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 418: Volume 5 Chapter 31 Feiyang Armored Division_4

”I’ll bite you to death!”

”Don’t bite there... this is the workshop... ah!”

After a while, the storm passed... Fatty rubbed his chest and complained with a grudge: ”I say, are you a dog? How come you bit my nipple, look... you’ve bitten out milk!”

Nia blushed and spat at Fatty. While reaching out to rub it for him, she pinched his arm and couldn’t help but giggle: ”Talking nonsense, you Fatty...”

”If what’s soaking through my clothes isn’t milk, then what is it?”

”Don’t be annoying, that’s just my saliva... No complaining, what are you sniffing for, it’s fragrant!”

”Oh.” Fatty felt a bit melancholy, sighed, and looked dreamy: ”I wonder when I’ll get to see the legendary human milk!”

”Wiping out Stephen within two weeks is simply a pipe dream!” Hailig shouted, sitting in front of Gordon. The coffee in his hand seemed ready to spill at any moment, clearly showing his agitation.

”I’ve thought it over repeatedly too.” Gordon pondered, staring at the troop distribution on the virtual map, and said in a deep voice: ”Without an absolute advantage in strength, perhaps General Tian’s decapitation plan is the only way.”

”Decapitation!” Hailig sneered: ”Easier said than done. Even with SkyNet, it’s impossible to locate Stephen. Look at him, he still can’t come up with a solution after all this time.”

”This is their business, after all.” Gordon walked to Hailig’s side and patted his shoulder: ”Since he has taken the lead, what do we have to worry about?”

”What I’m worried about is the Southeast Expeditionary Army!” Hailig frowned and said: ”They made this request, surely to draw both sides into battle at Mezrich. As soon as Stephen collapses, the Freedom Front will immediately grow stronger. By then, dealing with Reinhardt and Desic here will be much easier for us. But, they’re too eager for quick success. Stephen’s strength is evident, and this is simply an unachievable plan. Since they dare to propose such a plan, I’m afraid in the future...”

Gordon fell silent. Although Gazalin is a small country, its military has also been honed on the battlefield for a long time. They’ve seen many strategic plans but never anything this unrealistic.

Sometimes, many mistakes are made because of haste.

The real essence of war is like Mount Tai pressing down; it’s breaking the strange with the straight, the strong oppressing the weak; it’s a steady and persistent advance, leaving no opportunity for the enemy to counterattack!

But this time, as the commander-in-chief, the Southeast Expeditionary Army Command has issued such an inherently opportunistic strategic plan, making one doubt their understanding of war.

”Admiral Fiscella is considered a great general of his generation, ranking even above General Russell. While part of this may be because Feiyang is a superpower, on the other hand, it also proves his capability. After all, he climbed to this position step by step through military merit. Since Marshal Hastings, the Feiyang Military God, has sent him here, there must be a reason. Their envoy should be arriving soon, perhaps they already have a mature battle plan.”

When talking about Military God Hastings, Hailig also fell silent. That awe-inspiring god of war is an idol not only for the soldiers of the Feiyang Republic but for every soldier across humanity.

At his level, many things are beyond the understanding of people like us. Perhaps there are traces of that person’s influence behind this strategic plan.

”Report, General!” Gordon’s confidential secretary knocked and entered: ”Admiral Tangks, commander of the 6th Fleet, sent a message that the 6th Fleet and local fleet have joined with the Expeditionary Army’s First Mixed Fleet. The giant transport ship carrying six armored divisions is entering the atmosphere under the fleet’s escort, requesting land-based air forces to take off and assist space-based fighter jets in securing the descent corridor and establishing a defense zone.”

”Alright, understood.” Gordon waved for the secretary to leave, then turned to Hailig and said: ”The people are nearly here, probably in about half an hour. Now it’s perfect timing to head to the airport slowly.”

”Hmm.” Hailig hummed with a stern face, hesitated for a moment, then finally grabbed his hat and grumbled as he went out with Gordon.

******************

Two [Blue Whale] class giant transport ships and two [Mammoth] class giant transport ships descended slowly from the sky. From a distance, they were merely four tiny black dots, but as they truly approached landing, they appeared like four floating cities looming before the people’s eyes.

If it wanted to, just a change of orientation could easily turn all its greeters into pulp. Thus, the fall of any giant transport ship is a disaster.

The [Blue Whale] is a third larger than the [Mammoth]. If it’s just for transporting six armored divisions, two [Blue Whales] are enough. Over 80,000 Mecha, with unimaginable weight and volume, actually only occupy the lowermost special Mecha compartment layer of these two [Blue Whales].

As such, it’s clear that the reason a giant transport ship has such a ridiculously strict landing manual, numerous fighter jets escorting it, such thick armor, and such a powerful energy shield, is because the downfall of one transport ship signifies the loss of three or four elite armored divisions!

However, to destroy a giant transport ship isn’t so easy. Without the main cannon firepower of space battleships, relying solely on land-based fighter jets’ missiles and Energy Cannons requires considerable scale.
