Chapter 396: 5 Volumes Chapter 22 The Bold Fatty

Deploying two hundred [Hunters] to slaughter the [Vajra] Mecha company head-on, Fatty’s purpose is simple: to let future collaborators know what kind of combat power this team possesses. To fight against it, you’ll pay a hefty price; to ally with it, you’ll gain significant benefits.

Kruze was very clever, immediately assessing the situation and making a decisive choice: to ally!

The 91th Division really doesn’t have the confidence to face such a daunting opponent!

As for the verbal concession of material selection rights, to Kruze, it was really just a token gesture. Given the scale of the Leray people’s two regiments, even if the 91th Division took nothing, they couldn’t carry away that much stuff, not even a fifth!

Since four-fifths of it belongs to the 91th Division anyway, doing a favor smoothly poses no real loss.

The central information desk reported the complete occupation of the base, and Fatty laughed heartily, saying to Kruze with a bright face, ”Although I reluctantly agreed under your insistence that we take first, one mustn’t be too greedy. Besides, we didn’t capture this base alone...”

Fatty’s words left Kruze between laughter and tears, thinking, ”When did I insist? There’s no need to be so reluctant!” However, hearing the politeness in Fatty’s words, Kruze chose not to interrupt, and Fatty continued, ”How about this, we’ll just take four-fifths of the supplies...” Kruze’s mind went blank, his feet feeling light as Fatty continued, ”And you must not refuse the rest, if you do, I’d really feel embarrassed!”

Kruze wished he was dead, he’d seen shameless people, but never this shameless. Just as he was about to speak, Fatty wrapped an arm around him, boorishly saying loudly, ”No need to argue, it’s settled. If you refuse again, we’re done! Once this battle is over, your Transport Ship should have arrived, and we’ll need your help to load the supplies we can’t carry onto it...”

Since Fatty began practicing martial arts, his strength has doubled. This hug was like a polar bear hugging a seal. Kruze was so squeezed, he felt his chest tighten, and in a dazed state, heard Fatty prattle on, ”We’re all one family here. I’ll be going to see General Gordon soon. Maybe we’ll all be one family; just let me know if you need anything! I’m naturally generous, love making friends, and can’t stand those stingy people who fight over petty gains. Those people... I spit on!”

This bastard wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and continued, ”As the saying goes, ’the more losses you take, the more friends you make.’ Though giving this fifth away is a bit much, I’m doing it with joy! Making more friends opens more roads, and besides, you seem like a generous person too...”

Amid the buzzing noise akin to flies, Kruze looked at this shameless fat rascal before him and suddenly wanted to slap himself hard.

The base was completely under control. After the total annihilation of the [Vajra] Mecha company, the base guards completely lost the will to resist further, and those relentless Leray Mecha soldiers gave them no chance. The sporadic resistors either surrendered or were obliterated.

Over a thousand prisoners were escorted together and centrally managed, while soldiers of the 91th Division were busy clearing the battlefield and extinguishing the War Fires.

The bandit army casually gathered in the central square of the base, meant for giant transport ships to land and take off. They looked like a bunch of defeated soldiers. One broken Mecha after another, simply heartbreaking to behold.

However, in the eyes of the 91th Division warriors, these heaps of scrap metal induced absolute shock.

No one dared to underestimate this trash because they had witnessed firsthand how cunning and fierce these wrecks were in battle. These people were nothing short of scum; every strike made the warriors of the 91th Division feel ashamed for the base defenders, feel sorrow for them.

This group, flaunting the title of bandit army, was very powerful, with coordinated tactics, skillful swift actions, and fierce strikes. They were elite Special Soldiers, honed through countless wars, each possessing unique skills.

Facing such an opponent, everyone would feel a sense of helplessness, especially since these bastards always bullied the few with the many, that sense of helplessness akin to a mouse falling into a group of cats.

Some say life is like being raped; when you can’t resist, just close your eyes and enjoy. Fighting is like this too, but falling into the hands of these Leray people is worse than being raped, it’s simply living death. Just when you want to close your eyes and enjoy, they stop!

These bastards are hooligans, scoundrels, degenerates! Their favorite thing is to kick people when they’re down, or create opportunities to do so. They defile with actions and humiliate with words, tease the weak in groups of three, stab cunningly at vital points in groups of five. They do whatever frustrates you.

Such behavior is already damnable, yet these bastards exhibit terrifying combat power within such tactics. Facing formidable enemies, they can crush you frontally like Mount Tai descending, or slowly tear you apart, dragging you out one by one, wearing you down to death. Facing the weak... let’s not even speak of it, it’s too tear-jerking.

The warriors of the 91th Division discreetly distanced themselves from the bandit army’s assembly, even if someone whistled at them, they chose not to hear. Because they knew compared to these wolves, they really are just innocent little lambs.

The little lambs were all curious, who the hell taught these wolves to be so defiant of heaven’s order?

Fatty was dragged out of the Combat Department by Bonnie.

Before Kruze could collapse, Bonnie felt she was already cracking. This damn Fatty was truly nerve-wracking.

Yet, Bonnie regretted it the moment she intervened. She hadn’t expected the Fatty she grabbed by the collar would be flailing his legs and shouting magnanimously at Kruze from the ground, ”It’s settled then, you must take that fifth. If you don’t, it means you look down on me!...”

Finally dragging Fatty into the cockpit of [Logic], she found this guy laughing awkwardly and insincerely. Bonnie, blushing, bit her lip in a daze as she recalled Kruze’s expression, she suddenly wanted to burst into laughter.

Giving Fatty an exasperated look, Bonnie said, ”Four-fifths? Do you know how much that is?”

Fatty gave a silly nod.

”You know, and yet you still did that!” Bonnie glared at him again, annoyed, ”We only have so few people, can we take that much?”

”No, we can’t!” Fatty replied decisively.

”Then by having them load the supplies onto the Transport Ship, you’re confident those things will be kept for you?” Bonnie, looking at the silly Fatty before her, couldn’t help but poke his forehead with her slender finger. Realizing the intimate ambiguity of this action, she blushed and withdrew her hand swiftly as if electrocuted.

”Of course, they won’t keep them for me.” Fatty beamed brilliantly, ”As long as he feels he owes me, I’ll be happy. That guy’s foolish; his expression is quite amusing.”

Bonnie was left speechless, lamenting inwardly, wondering if upon hearing Fatty’s words, Kruze would dig a hole to bury himself alive.

According to the plan, the 91th Division’s actions will be coordinated by the 6th Fleet.

This fleet is Gordon’s precious, mainly tasked with defending several major planets in the Little Pyrenees Star System, having not participated in battles against the Leray Federation, making it the only relatively intact Space Fleet in the Gazalin Empire at present.

The fleet is of second-rate structure, very small in scale, among the few major fleets of the Gazalin Empire, not even considered a medium-sized fleet. Amid the later stages of the war between Gazalin and the Leray Federation, due to weak shipbuilding capabilities, several main Battleships in the fleet were dispatched to other fleets for battle, never to return.

Fortunately, this fleet still had a few old Battleships and a Space Carrier.

As the fleet commander, Vice Admiral Kafka graduated and served alongside Admiral Gordon, having fought as comrades in arms in the same trench. So when civil war broke out, the 6th Fleet, already marked with Gordon’s imprint, joined Gordon and Hailig in leading the Gazalin Independent Army.

However, this card really can’t compare with the major fleets loyal to Stephen, nor the Desic Fleet supporting Reinhardt, so what they can do now is preserve their strength. Perhaps one day in the future, Gordon can use this fleet to make the final move — a full retreat from Tanville.

And now, to coordinate the 91th Division’s raid on Tedanici, the 6th Fleet extended its claws from the nebula in outer space of Mezrich.

They would send Space Fighters released by the Space Carrier into the atmosphere, coordinating with ground forces to attack Reinhardt’s domain in eastern Tanville, covering a giant transport ship’s landing in Tedanici.

According to the information Kruze received, the attack had begun, and the giant transport ship, escorted by dozens of Space Fighters, was traversing the atmosphere, headed toward Tedanici.
