Chapter 391: Volume 5, Chapter 19, Tedanici Base

With Kruze’s command, the Electronic Camp first launched intense electronic interference and information blockade. Immediately, the entire 91st Division, like a ferocious tiger lurking in the dark, suddenly leaped out, splitting into three groups and pouncing towards the unsuspecting Tedanici Base.

Tedanici Logistics Base is one of the only thirteen super bases in Gazalin, built in 2011 at tremendous cost. The base is 5.32 kilometers wide horizontally and 6.67 kilometers deep vertically, covering an area of over thirty square kilometers in a pentagon shape.

The base is surrounded by armored walls, with over ten tower-type energy shield generators providing energy protection. Inside the base, giant transport ships can take off and land. It is equipped with three mecha assembly lines, eight giant energy storage tanks, and twenty-one weapon warehouses. It can simultaneously supply energy and maintain mechas for four armored divisions in one day.

The base is garrisoned by a missile base, two mechanical armor groups, and a flight squadron. It is considered one of the strongest defensive bases in Gazalin.

Perhaps due to having not been attacked for over fifty years, the base guards were completely stunned by the attack from the 91st Division.

In just a moment, fierce artillery fire completely covered the southeast side of the base. Three attack arrows, formed by hundreds of mechas, quickly advanced, surging forward under the opening of intense firepower.

One group headed straight for the southeast gate, one rushed towards the mechanical armor group’s camp on the right side of the base, and the other went towards the side gate on the left side of the base. Because the base was completely unprepared, the three-pronged attack encountered no resistance within five minutes of launching, advancing with unstoppable momentum.

Seeing the three green lines on the central information platform screen, rapidly occupying each key location as planned, the staff in the command center couldn’t help but grin with joy. They looked at Fatty with some pride.

Fatty, smiling serenely, pulled out an electronic card and handed it to a combat staff responsible for central information control, saying, ”This is the electronic interference logic backdoor and mecha identification code of our Electronic Camp. Open it, so that the flood doesn’t wash away the temple.”

The staff member took it, turned, and looked at Kruze.

Kruze nodded and said, ”Open it, and also bring out our interference logic backdoor parameters and identification codes.”

As the 91st Division staff carried out the order, Fatty entered the contact code on the central information platform after obtaining the interference backdoor and identification code. On the virtual screen, clusters of seven-colored light flashed rapidly, and as communication connected, the spinning colors gradually formed Rashid’s image.

”I’m at the 91st Division and have reached an agreement with Commander Kruze. Now I order the troops for Plans A, E, and F to stand by. Troops for Plans B, C, and D move to their designated positions.” Fatty casually transmitted the Electronic Camp’s interference backdoor and mecha identification codes to Rashid and continued, ”Send down the combat identification codes asap and await action orders.”

”Yes.” As Rashid’s image faded, a ”beep” sound was heard. The central information control platform connecting the bandit army’s interference backdoor displayed a radar map of the bandit army’s deployment.

With the appearance of this map, a buzz was heard, and the command center of the 91st Division was thrown into chaos.

On the radar map, behind the 91st Division, were countless blue friendly mecha markers. No need to ask, this was Fatty’s force. What made all the officers break out in cold sweat was that the positions these friendly mechas were lurking in were directly at the several weak points of the 91st Division.

If Fatty wished, he could strike while the 91st Division was attacking or even after they entered the base. From the radar map’s deployment, no one, including Kruze, believed the 91st Division could avoid complete annihilation.

”Misunderstanding, misunderstanding.” Fatty smiled apologetically, with an innocent face.

Kruze’s face turned grim. He always led his troops with utmost rigor. Since entering the attack positions, reconnaissance posts were set up over ten kilometers around, and the Electronic Camp scanned non-stop. Little did he expect that two groups of mechas had managed to lurk just a few kilometers behind his position. No matter how they got in, this time, his face was utterly lost. No wonder Fatty wasn’t afraid of him turning hostile.

Bonnie quietly stood aside, observing Kruze’s expression and laughing inwardly. She knew better than anyone what Fatty had done along the way.

A broken Magic Beast disguised as an Element electronic mecha, supreme control of Gazalin’s primary SkyNet, a structural diagram of a Holy Sword 15-B type mecha, combined with incredibly stealthy skills and a hand speed of fifty-six movements per second, was there anything this Fatty couldn’t do?

In the southeast direction, four reconnaissance guards mechas were dismantled within three minutes with the cooperation of Fatty and a Listening mecha, losing control after their spherical circuit integrators were taken down.

When the mecha computers of these four mechas had their data extracted, and their communicators and local SkyNet signal instruments were hacked and installed on four Warrior Leaders, the entire rear’s reconnaissance mechas turned into Leray people’s within half an hour. This could not be discerned from the central information platform’s signals.

Of course, many things are easier said than done. Like an excellent magician, until you understand the secret of his magic, you can only marvel at its brilliance.

Fatty, in terms of stealth, absolutely possessed master-level skills. Combined with this enigmatic transforming mecha, Bonnie even wondered if there was any place in the world this stealthy Fatty couldn’t sneak into!

The battle progressed very smoothly. In less than five minutes, the 91st Division had breached the base’s main gate, and the side gate on the left was broken through two minutes ago. For a moment, the sharp alarm sound mixed with the fierce artillery fire, and the base was in chaos.

On the electronic map, the 91st Division was attacking from the front, followed by dozens of blue dots representing small teams. These ”allies” did not participate in the attack but followed behind leisurely, seemingly with no intention of helping.

The people in the Combat Department couldn’t help but feel angry. That Fatty spoke loudly, but when it came to a real fight, he dodged and skated, afraid of death. If not for these people occupying critical positions behind the 91st Division, who would want to split the base resources with them—resources fought for by the 91st Division warriors with their blood?

As the battle was going well, no one mentioned these feelings. However, the subsequent sudden and drastic changes in the situation made everyone in the 91st Division break out in cold sweat.

”The base has organized a defense. The enemy’s aircraft are ready to take off and will be airborne within two minutes,” a Major shouted anxiously from the central information station.

No wonder he was losing his composure; the takeoff of the aircraft meant the failure of this operation. Once the aircraft flew out of the electronic interference zone, they would send a signal, and everything happening here would immediately alert the Mythical Army’s assembly warning system.

To prevent the aircraft from taking off, their only runway must be destroyed. In such a battle, using a slow anti-gravity device to take off would make the aircraft a sitting duck for ground mecha, so they could only rely on the underground runway for an emergency takeoff. With the help of a catapult, a short run was all it took for the powerful thrust to shoot the aircraft into the sky.

The runway was originally the top priority in the 91st Division’s combat plan, with an entire battalion arranged to attack in that direction.

But now, to all the 91st Division officers and soldiers, the runway seemed so far away. The crossfire formed by two energy shielded forts completely stifled the frontal attack of an entire regiment, and this battalion could not break through the reinforcement guard mecha swarming from both wings.

”Charge!” Kruze gave a death order to the battalion commander responsible for the attack. ”At all costs, block the aircraft takeoff passage!”

The 91st Division’s offensive significantly intensified. Wave after wave of mecha launched assaults under a sky full of artillery fire. Long-range firepower couldn’t penetrate the energy shields; only by getting close to those exceptionally sturdy alloy fortresses could there be any hope of destroying them.

However, the firepower of the two fortresses was too fierce. With two small fort-class energy cannons cooperating with dozens of high-power energy cannons, each shot devastated the area. Ordinary mecha energy shields flickered like flames in a storm, transforming into wreckage amidst explosions without even a chance to shift colors.

The 91st Division’s mechas charged forward like a tide, but with one mecha after another exploding, the charge turned into a tragic, helpless endeavor.

”Don’t worry.” Fatty scratched his head. ”No aircraft will take off in this battle.”

”Oh?” Kruze was taken aback. ”How do you know?”

Fatty nonchalantly pointed to a peak beside the No. 3 resource road on the left side of the base. ”See where the runway exit faces? I’ve deployed ten [Tide] Heavy Mecha there.”

”Ten [Tide]?” The 91st Division people were astonished. These were the best Eighth Generation Heavy Mecha of the Desic Empire, with performance close to the few Ninth Generation Heavy Mecha. How did Fatty get them?

Under the sixteen [Tail] high-speed anti-air missiles each mecha carried, few targeted aircraft could escape being destroyed. With ten [Tide] guarding the aircraft’s catapult exit, the aircraft’s low initial speed meant they were basically doomed once airborne.

Hearing Fatty’s words, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. The dissatisfaction felt by the various officers and soldiers earlier quickly changed.

Kruze, confident and fearless, was about to order the attack to be put on hold when a sudden message came from the front line. The Leray people had joined the attack on the two fortresses. An entire company, mixed among the 91st Division mecha, fell before half of them even got close.
