Chapter 385: Volume 5 Chapter 16 Change of Plans_2

In the patriarchal society of Gazalin, no matter how high a status a woman has before marriage, once she is married, her most important task becomes supporting her husband and educating the children. This is something that even the most assertive women do not resist or try to change, because they have been taught from a young age, ingrained with family ethics, and exposed to societal realities in adulthood, all making them see this as a matter of course.

Traditionally, throughout ages, patriarchal societies with polygamous marriage systems have been no exception. The law and tradition have exploited women’s physiological weaknesses to the extreme. In such a society, a man is a woman’s ultimate destination, and chastity is the crucial prerequisite for determining a woman’s belonging.

For the vast majority of women in Gazalin, the one who obtains their first time also obtains their entire life. In this country, the selfishness of men or the obsession with virginity has become a truth, manifesting in tradition and even the law.

Men love women, respect them, cherish them, and protect them. However, all of this is based on obtaining everything from the woman, including her chastity. No Gazalin man would marry a woman who has lost her chastity, let alone one who betrays her husband and cheats.

This is the main reason why Reinhardt could not accept being an illegitimate child. Even if his biological father was the Emperor, it was still a disgrace to him!

So, when Bonnie dropped her fighting dagger after that incident, it proved that her feelings for Fatty were not just hate and shame but also a subconscious sense of belonging. This man, who dared to confront the entire Mechanical Armor Group and had a solid back, had taken her chastity!

As a female officer who entered the Mythical Army based on her abilities, Bonnie was originally an open-minded, passionate woman. Despite her shyness, she did not have the coquettish gestures of a little woman. When the Magic Beast fought its way through the encirclement and appeared before her, everything was already destined. Although she may not have completely accepted Tian Xingjian yet, she no longer repelled and hated him at the very least.

And who can say what the future holds?

Until the Logic rebooted, the faint scent of Bonnie in the narrow cockpit left Fatty a bit stunned.

The two of them headed north in this ambiguous atmosphere, bypassing the blockade lines of two Desic Empire Mecha Groups within SkyNet, covertly advanced for a day, and finally reached the location of the bandit army’s main force—an abandoned mining area 46 kilometers in a straight line from the Tedanici logistics base.

The mining area was large. It used to be a massive rare metal mine, occupying over a hundred square kilometers, including a turbulent muddy river, a small lake, and seventeen hills across two mountain ranges. It had been abandoned for decades due to resource depletion.

The bandit army was stationed deep within the mining caves, far from the Tanville No.3 Resource Road passing one side of the mining area, a blind spot for satellite detection. When Fatty found the team, he immediately encountered two problems that gave him a headache.

The first problem was Nia. When she saw the cockpit cover of the Magic Beast open, and Fatty squeezed next to Bonnie, she almost rushed over to push Bonnie away. Even though reason kept her feet grounded, her angry and resentful gaze made Fatty feel like he had done something heinous, almost biting his tongue in remorse.

The second problem was related to the Tedanici base. It turned out that Fatty wasn’t the only one eyeing this place—so were the three regiments of Gordon’s Gazalin Army 91st Armored Division, who had already entered the attack zone before the bandit army.

”I sent someone to check it out and roughly assessed the situation...,” Rashid followed Fatty towards the temporary command post, babbling while his eyes flitted back and forth, curiously scrutinizing the stunning woman following Fatty. How did Fatty manage to bring back such a breathtakingly beautiful woman?

Bonnie walked gently beside Fatty, completely ignoring Nia’s evident displeasure. Her gaze towards Fatty was so compliant, as if he was the only person in the world she saw. Occasionally, she would glance at Nia with a faint trace of arrogance, that kind of indifference and elegance often seen in the Gazalin Nobles, causing any Leray Warrior who saw her to be somewhat dazed, which deeply provoked Nia.

It was clear that Bonnie was doing this on purpose.

”Let’s go, take me to check it out quickly...” Fatty, tormented by Nia’s eyes and Bonnie’s teasing performance, hurriedly threw Nia a flattering smile, then immediately assumed a posture of putting military affairs above all else, dragging Rashid to the temporary command post almost at a jog.

On the radar map transmitted by the Listening electronic mecha, the base 46 kilometers away was already surrounded by a dense array of mecha markers. From the positions of these mechas on the map, it was clear that Gordon’s troops had formed an attack formation and would launch their assault before midnight.

Moreover, in the attack zone previously selected by Fatty, a group of soldiers was deployed in the left side depression near the No.3 Resource Road, 40 kilometers away. It seemed they intended to support and cover the two regiments deployed to their right side for a strong assault. At the forward attack point, they had only deployed a battalion of soldiers.
