Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 546: Volume 6 Chapter 32 Propulsor

Whether it is the God Creation Plan of the Command Department or the future impact of Boswell’s researched artificial intelligence platform, Tian Xingjian is completely unaware.

Currently, he is in the laboratory workshop, contemplating how to assemble the newly designed auxiliary thruster component, which he completed after spending nearly a week.

This new auxiliary thruster came from an idea proposed in Casper’s work log, named ”Hummingbird”.

In this concept, Casper used his knowledge and future scientific development predictions to describe an auxiliary thruster that utilizes high-frequency intermittent ion jets, allowing the mecha to hover and move abruptly in the air like a hummingbird within a short time.

Once this auxiliary thruster is successfully developed, it will greatly enhance the strategic space of the mecha. Even in mountainous areas with harsh terrain conditions, the mecha equipped with this thruster will not be restricted by the terrain. During combat, the mecha will also have greater movement space and attack angles.

As a Mechanical Warrior, Fatty immediately recognized the benefits of this thruster at first glance. If Reinhardt’s armored units had this thruster initially in Gazalin, Fatty was confident that he wouldn’t have been able to fend off the enemy’s overwhelming attacks for over twenty-four hours under such terrain conditions with his weak forces!

Since the retirement of armed helicopters, the low-altitude domain of modern warfare has become a restricted zone. Mechas with high-speed mobility, super defense capabilities, and anti-air capabilities won’t allow any armed force within several hundred meters above their heads.

The SkyNet System, along with the radar, fire control, and guidance systems of the mechas, ensures a one hundred percent hit rate of Energy Cannons, Mixed Cannons, and missiles in low-altitude. Any armed machinery that dares to appear in low-altitude will become a reckless target for anti-air firepower.

In terms of instantaneous dodging movement capability in small spaces, mechas on solid ground are absolutely superior to low-altitude flying devices relying on air reaction forces. To evade anti-air firepower in low-altitude combat, one must possess enough high speed at the beginning of the battle.

The only vehicle capable of meeting this condition is the armored jet. However, letting an armored jet fight in low-altitude is like asking a sniper to stab someone with a knife, a truly frustrating idea. Therefore, the low-altitude in modern warfare eventually became insignificant, and the previously famed tank killer armed helicopters gradually retreated from the historical stage as mechas and anti-air weapons grew stronger.

However, now Casper has opened a door for this zone that has been closed for nearly three thousand years, right in front of Fatty.

The intermittent ion turbine thruster is structurally and functionally entirely different from existing auxiliary thrusters. It has eight jet nozzles instead of the typical one or two, ensuring it can instantly move in any direction.

Of course, without a sufficiently powerful core power unit, the eight jet nozzles would merely be a laughing matter.

For a mecha weighing tens of tons, or even up to a hundred tons, to suddenly start in low speed or halted state within low-altitude and achieve enough speed to dodge Energy Cannon and missile strikes, the required power isn’t just about adding a few more jet nozzles.

In his concept, Casper proposed a design idea using high-power engines combined with a storage device designed using dual-track energy circuit and multi-layer kinetic energy cabin technology to store kinetic energy during combat and release it when needed.

This design was impossible to achieve a hundred years ago. The engine technology and storage device materials at that time couldn’t meet the requirement for instant release of massive kinetic energy.

Casper tried hundreds of materials to manufacture a kinetic energy storage device that could withstand energy compression and instant release impact, but none met the requirements. Moreover, the miniaturized battleship engine he designed to provide enough power for the auxiliary thruster also failed to be completed.

Despite this, Casper completed extensive key technical research in these two designs. The most important research was that he established a structural model of the dual-track energy circuit.

The core of the kinetic energy storage device consists of hundreds of thousands of energy acceleration chambers, each with a size of one cubic millimeter. The most advanced kinetic energy storage devices use single-track energy circuits. Their advancement lies in the distribution and efficiency of the acceleration chambers within the various storage device structures.

However, Casper’s dual-track energy circuit structure fundamentally abandoned the design philosophy of single-track energy circuits, allowing energy to gain greater acceleration within the same size energy acceleration chamber. This technology magnified the acceleration of the energy circuit by more than double!

But Casper’s design could only exist in theory and computer simulations. Although he established the structural model, the miniature technology at that time couldn’t manufacture the dual-track energy circuit structure within a cubic millimeter space.

This epoch-making design has remained dormant for over a hundred years, now unearthed by Fatty.

For Fatty, the miniature technology Casper couldn’t surpass is simply not a problem. Miniature technology has advanced by leaps and bounds over the past century. A year ago, Milan led a significant breakthrough in miniaturization technology. The micro battleship radar of ”Logic” is the result of this technology.

After staring at Casper’s dual-track energy circuit structure for three days, Fatty did not proceed to put it into practice.

This whimsical guy, unsatisfied with merely manufacturing the dual-track energy circuit structure energy acceleration chamber, added two more spirals and modified a few lines on the structural diagram after thoroughly studying the dual-track circuit structure.

He named this new structure the Four-track Spiral Acceleration!

After completing this structure, Fatty put aside the acceleration chamber’s structural design. In his concept, he was merely following Casper’s theory and making slight improvements to the centrifugal spiral structure of the dual-track circuit on the basis of miniaturization technology.

Fatty knows very well the benefits this structure brings to mechas. However, he is completely unaware of what this structure means in the mechanical world.

If a mechanical master had seen all this at the time, he would have gone insane.

No one would have imagined that while the entire mechanical world is still struggling with how to optimally distribute the acceleration chambers to obtain more economical and effective kinetic energy for mechas and debating over how to achieve the maximum acceleration effect of single-track energy circuits, there’s a Fatty who has already modified the structure exceeding double the single-track acceleration effect.

Four-fold acceleration naturally brings greater kinetic energy than double acceleration.

All this originates from Fatty’s greedy and comprehensive mindset. He always believed in doing things faster if possible and eating more if it tastes good.

After finalizing the structure of the acceleration chamber, the remaining tasks became simpler. The multi-layer kinetic energy cabin designed by Casper has already provided the optimal distribution plan for the acceleration chambers.

It’s a concentric circle structure. The three-layer kinetic energy cabin pipes distribute 1.2 million acceleration chambers. According to Casper’s calculation data, the mecha kinetic energy absorbed by the kinetic energy cabin arranged according to the reduction amount calculation layout, has an escape kinetic energy amount of less than one ten-thousandth.

Not to mention the utilization rate of kinetic energy by the acceleration chambers, just the escape kinetic energy alone, compared to the nearly thirty percent escape kinetic energy of ordinary kinetic energy storage devices today, is incomparable.

After completing this part, Fatty only needed to solve the high-strength material problem. This might cause a headache for other mechas, but for ”Logic”, it’s simply not an issue.

Using biological dual state metal, which is six times harder than the hardest superhard alloy currently available, Fatty effortlessly used it directly. He spent just two days stationed in front of the central computer, checking the data of the automatic precision machine tool during the manufacture of the acceleration chambers, to obtain all the parts required for assembling the auxiliary thruster.

Of course, many of these parts came from the laboratory warehouse of the academy. Fatty has never felt embarrassed about it. In his view, it’s already quite decent if he didn’t dismantle everything in the warehouse for research.

Fatty was busy dismantling the selected high-flow jet nozzle from the warehouse, modifying it with the new automatic repair arm on his arm, and installing it on the thruster’s main body like a ship’s rudder, when he suddenly sensed a warning sign.

Turning around, Fatty grabbed the little kid flailing around: ”What sneaky thing are you trying to do? Don’t think I won’t hit you just because you look cute now!”

The little kid pretending to be cute has become a habit, with a pitiful expression on his tender, watery face: ”Fatty, someone is looking for you outside.”

”Who?”

”A very pure very pure sister... so pretty so pretty.”

”Pa!” Fatty slapped him without any politeness, angrily saying: ”Pipi, if you disgust me with this tone again, I’ll make you impotent for life!”

”Damn! That woman is really hot.” Pipi immediately changed his tone in recognition of his mistake, ”Up protruding, down plump, I want to suck her breasts.”

”What’s her name?”

”Seems to be called Ann Lei.”

”Smack... I’ll beat you up, you artificial pervert!”
