Chapter 514: Volume 6 Chapter 17 Fatty’s Trouble_2

The girl named Catherine was exactly the pretty cadet who was competing with Fatty at Gallipalan. Six months ago, due to the tense war situation, several departments of the Gallipalan Military Academy were relocated as a whole to the Capital’s First Military Academy. This included the Command Department where Catherine was and the Mecha Design and Manufacturing Department where Fatty used to teach.

”Hey hey!” Catherine was pulled and stumbled, breaking free from Angela’s hand and scolding: ”Enough, Angela. It must be you causing trouble again. Can you let me have some peace of mind?”

Angela’s baby-faced cheeks showed a kind of indignation as she exclaimed: ”Catherine, you wronged me so badly. This time it really wasn’t me who caused the trouble.”

Catherine rolled her lively eyes, pouted, and her face clearly expressed two words: ”Who believes!”

Angela gloomily slapped her forehead, sighed, and said: ”Don’t you know? The incident in the No.6 Comprehensive Building has caused an uproar. Our Gallipalan’s laboratory and the laboratory of the First Academy are almost fighting. Those kids from the First Academy set up a ring in the gymnasium, saying they want to settle all new and old scores together.”

”Laboratory?” Catherine asked curiously: ”What happened in the laboratory? The researchers in the lab never get involved in the conflicts of the cadets, right?”

Angela exclaimed: ”Heavens, you really don’t know?” She then chattered on about the incident she had heard, exaggerating the details to Catherine.

”So, this time is different from before. It concerns the honor of Gallipalan College, and we must face it!” Angela’s adorable face showed a determined expression as she clenched her small fists tightly in front of her chest.

Catherine tilted her head and thought for a moment, then asked: ”What about those jerks from the Mechanical Department? Would they not get involved in such matters?”

Angela deflated and said: ”That’s exactly what puzzles me. Logically, those guys would have jumped out long ago when faced with provocation from the First Academy. But this time, I don’t know what happened to them. They are mysteriously wandering around the No.6 Building every day, as if they’re completely uninterested in the ring set up by the First Academy.”

Catherine said strangely: ”Can they be uninterested in such things? What kind of ring did those First Academy guys set up? It can’t be fighting, right?”

The jerks from the Mechanical Department Catherine referred to were actually a group of Fatty’s trainees from the Mechanical Repair Camp. Back then, she had single-handedly knocked them all over, and fighting was their least proficient skill. If the cadets from the First Academy challenged them in individual combat, the guys from the Mechanical Department might indeed ignore it. Those who are accustomed to using tricks and schemes, the jerks from the Mechanical Department, would never do something as foolish as hitting an egg against a rock.

”If it’s fighting, do we, with so many veterans in the Command Department, fear those kids from the First Academy?” Angela shook her head and said: ”This time, it’s the Mecha Fighting in the Simulated War Network. The First Academy originally had a few experts, and I heard, this time they even invited a few seniors who just returned from the front lines and two civilian mecha fighting masters to hold the fort.”

Upon hearing this, Catherine got interested, her big eyes rolled, and she pulled Angela: ”Let’s go and have a look.”

In front of the No.6 Comprehensive Building, several cadets were huddled together, whispering furtively.

”Charlie.” A cadet with some freckles on his face pulled another cadet wearing glasses and said: ”Is your information reliable or not? We’ve been waiting for so many days, and we haven’t even seen a trace of the instructor.”

The freckled boy’s words resonated with the others nearby. A group of eighteen- or nineteen-year-olds began shouting: ”Yeah, we’ve been guarding so strictly, even stopping flying flies to differentiate between male and female before letting them pass, there’s no reason we haven’t seen him.”

The boy with glasses, Charlie, pushed his glasses up his nose and said: ”The instructor coming to the academy is absolutely true. I heard it from my cousin. He’s a graduate student, helping out in our academy’s laboratory, and he saw the instructor return with his own eyes. Not just him, but a few other girls in the lab saw it too.”

”It’s been three days!” the freckle-faced boy sighed: ”We’re almost worn out. The instructor returned, so why hasn’t he seen us?”

”It’s only been three days, what are you whining about!” A thin boy with a large head pouted and said: ”Even my weak body, Wang Datou, didn’t complain. As long as I can see the instructor, what does three days matter?” He looked around stealthily, lowered his voice and said: ”You know what I saw at my dad’s place?”

”What did you see? Tell us.” A group of bored cadets gathered around. They knew this boy, whose real name was Wang Fuxing, had a father who worked as a section chief in the Federation Government’s propaganda department. Many insider stories about Instructor Tian Xingjian were secretly obtained by Wang Datou from his father.

Attracting everyone’s attention, Wang Datou smiled proudly: ”Speaking of which, it’ll really shock you! I saw in my dad’s study the battle footage of our armored division in the entire Gazalin campaign! It includes the live footage of the instructor fighting the four heavenly kings of the Mythical Army.”

”Wow!” The boys immediately went into an uproar, urging: ”Quick, Datou, tell us. Did the instructor win?”

”Of course!” Wang Datou rolled his eyes: ”He won wonderfully! Not only that, I heard that the footage of the Gazalin campaign is very comprehensive, including on-the-scene battle records, live recordings by professional journalists, and full satellite monitoring.”

”Did your dad mention when the footage will be released?” The boys, now fully intrigued, asked impatiently.

”He didn’t say!” Wang Datou shook his head: ”But since it made it to my dad’s hand, it should be released soon. However, there’s some satellite footage that we might not see anytime soon. Even my dad hasn’t seen it yet. He just heard from people in the frontline publicity office saying it’s the satellite footage of our instructor battling around within the Stephen Group.”

”Wow.” The cadets, consumed by admiration, murmured again. Charlie grabbed Wang Datou and shouted: ”Datou, tell us first about what you saw.”

The footage of Tian Xingjian’s ragged Magic Beast single-handedly taking on the Desic Hunter Corps’ entire Ninth Generation Mechas had been watched by these military academy cadets hundreds of times. They could recount every classic scene from it. Whenever a topic related to mechas came up, this was inevitably mentioned.

Now, there was new footage, and it involved a battle against the three major leaders of the Mythical Army plus Level 9 Mecha Warrior Reinhardt. How could these passionate youths contain their excitement?

Wang Datou, known in the Mechanical Department for his wit and eloquence, began to tell the story with added embellishments, leaving his companions in awe.
