Chapter 519: Volume 6 Chapter 19 Engine_2

This kind of planet is undoubtedly the place every mecha fighting master dreams of. Whether it’s purely pursuing a higher realm of mecha combat, trying to make a living, or just betting everything on the line, here, you can find what you seek.

Thomas was once a student of the Capital First Military Academy, and now he is a student at the most famous ”Griffin Knight” Mecha Combat Gym on Atlanta Planet. Due to some temporary matters in Luderic City, he was coincidentally pulled in to assist by a student from the First Military Academy through some connections.

A Level 3 Mecha Knight, though not considered a formidable character, was more than enough to deal with the students of Gallipalan Military Academy. After all, private mech knights specialized in close combat are more proficient in hand-to-hand fighting than most military Level 7 warriors of the same rank.

The consensus in the mechanical world is that if both sides are piloting private mechas without an Energy Cannon and engaging in close combat, private mech knights with various close combat skills have a higher chance of winning compared to military mecha warriors. However, if they were piloting military mechas in an unrestricted battle, the situation would be the opposite.

Therefore, Thomas’ arrival almost guaranteed that the First Military Academy would secure victory in this academy showdown without Level 7 warriors.

”Hi.”” Taylor walked up to a group of Radish Heads, smiling, and greeted Wang Fuxing, ”You’re all here. It just so happens that I have something to discuss with you.”

”Hmph.” The Radish Heads turned away in different directions. Rolling his eyes, Wang Fuxing said, ”What do you want with us? We have no relationship with you.”

Taylor remained unbothered and laughed, ”You’ve already received the challenge letter, haven’t you? Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten about tomorrow’s match. The gymnasium is ready; when you have time, you ought to come practice.”

”We did receive the challenge letter.” Wang Fuxing waved his hand dismissively, ”But we never said we’d agree to the match. Let’s talk in a few days. We don’t have time for your nonsense right now.”

Upon hearing this, a girl standing next to Taylor became displeased and angrily said, ”What do you mean by that? Who accepts a challenge letter and doesn’t participate in the match? Cowards, are you afraid of embarrassment?”

Wang Fuxing smiled and looked at the girl dressed smartly in a uniform, ”Belinda, whether or not I’m embarrassed is my business. Why are you in such a hurry? Have you taken a liking to me?”

Belinda, being feisty, pouted and mocked, ”With your big head and small body, which girl would fancy you? Stop dreaming.”

This comment drew a round of laughter from the students of the Capital First Military Academy. The Radish Heads sneered in response, ready to strike as a group. At that moment, a pleasant voice rang out, ”Hey, who said my boyfriend doesn’t have any admirers?”

Everyone turned their heads in astonishment and saw Angel walking out from the crowd, linking arms with Wang Fuxing, ”No girls fancy him? Are you just eager to take advantage? Hmph, are you as pretty as me?”

By then, Catherine had also been dragged into the scene by Angel. The two most beautiful girls of Gallipalan College stood among the crowd with a stance that could be described as proud and commanding.

Wang Fuxing froze, not understanding when Angel became his girlfriend. However, with his quick thinking, he immediately played along, sighing, ”Angel, you really are something. I originally didn’t want to hurt Belinda’s self-esteem, but look at you...”

Belinda’s face turned red with anger due to their tag-team act and she gritted her teeth, ”If you have the guts, don’t just talk. Let’s settle it in mecha fighting!”

Wang Fuxing contorted his mouth, teasingly protruding his lower lip, ”I’ll just keep talking, what are you going to do about it?”

The Radish Heads laughed heartily.

”You...” Belinda was furious but was stopped by Taylor, who reached out his hand.

Taylor knew that competing in anything with the mechanical department guys from Gallipalan was fine, but not verbal sparring. When it comes to trash talking, these guys could go on for three days and nights, choosing the most disgusting things to say. He shifted his focus, courteously nodded to Catherine, and said, ”Catherine, what does your academy say about the match?”

”If we’re going to compete, then let’s compete. What’s there to talk about?” Catherine replied calmly.

”Catherine...” the Radish Heads started to stir and wanted to speak up. Taylor quickly intercepted, ”Then it’s settled. See you tomorrow.”

With that, the students of the Capital First Academy turned and left under the furious glares of the Radish Heads. As she walked away, Belinda took another vicious glare at Wang Fuxing.

”Catherine... why did you agree to that,” Wang Fuxing ignored Belinda and said to Catherine, ”We’ve heard that this time, those guys from the First Academy have brought in several experts. With just a few of us, how can we compete with them?”

Catherine frowned and said, ”Who told you to accept their challenge letter? Win or lose, we should go. Besides, if they can bring in reinforcements, can’t we?”

”Who would we ask?” Charlie, standing nearby, asked bewilderedly, ”Among the departments of our academy that came to the capital, besides your command department, there aren’t many mecha fighting masters. The seniors from the previous batches are all in the military now. Who can come now? We only have one day’s time.”

Angel released Wang Fuxing’s arm and gave him a light smack on the head, ”You coward, accepting a challenge letter and not showing up for the battle, no wonder no one fancies you.” Saying this, she turned to Catherine, ”How about we ask the veterans from our command department?”

Wang Fuxing shook his head, ”It’s useless. Among the people they invited is a Level 3 Mecha Knight. If we go head-to-head in close combat, even if we manage to invite Level 7 Mecha Warriors from the army, we might not win. Right now, where can we find anyone within the country? Anyone with some skills is already at the front lines.”
