Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 544: Volume 6, Chapter 30: The Deification Movement_2

The other Fei Alliance member countries aren’t so lucky. Everything depends on their own efforts. The Fei Alliance Joint Military Command, aside from providing strategic guidance and some material assistance, can’t offer much more help.

Those countries envy Leray, but the Leray people know that the Feiyang Republic wouldn’t bear all the pressure solely on their shoulders. The main force of this war is still the Leray Federation. The sacrifices are greatest for Leray Federation’s people.

This kind of sacrifice, as the war enters its third year, has already made Leray somewhat overwhelmed. The population has drastically decreased, the economic scale has shrunk by forty percent, the productivity has dropped to a worrying level, and the people’s living standards have regressed by several decades!

This has only been three years. If it lasts thirty years, what will be left of Leray?

Currently, Leray still has some residual strength, still able to unite under repeated victories and patriotism to continue resisting. However, the actual state of the country is like a tightly stretched string. Once faced with an unbearable defeat, the domestic and international undercurrents will immediately transform into overwhelming waves. Neither President Hamilton nor the entire Supreme Command Department can remain unaffected.

”Strengthen the protection for Tian Xingjian,” Mihailovich sighed deeply, ”Our God Creation Plan must continue. Leray’s fate is already tied to him. Since knowing his background and seeing what he brought back, I feel as if destiny has made a choice. If we can ultimately discover new Space Jump Technology, we need someone to unify all forces, suppress all disputes, and lead the Leray people out of this fiery pit! He is the most suitable candidate.”

”Domestically, we can still protect him,” Bernadotte said worriedly, ”But what about abroad?”

”This is his fate!” A trace of guilt flashed through Russell’s eyes, ”He is not only the hero of this country but also the hero of all the lower-class ethnic groups in Gazalin. He has to rely on himself to walk this path. He is destined to undergo trials. All we can do is offer support, or perhaps, if he fails, find another ’god’ to guide the people.”

Fatty knew nothing about what was happening outside. At this moment, he had poured all his energy into the upgrade and modification work of [Logic] in the lab, busying himself immensely.

Modern mechas are advancing every day. In terms of performance, the tenth generation [Divine] of the Feiyang Republic far surpasses the [Logic] originally based on the Eighth Generation Mecha technology standards. Not to mention the Eleventh Generation Mecha and the Twelfth Generation Mecha of Binart that Feiyang has already developed.

Especially the terrifying combat power of the Twelfth Generation Mecha seen in the Command Department’s recordings left a deep impression on Fatty, making him scared.

Although [Logic] had just been modified, being prepared for a rainy day has always been Fatty’s proudest trait. For his safety, Fatty believes [Logic] must completely surpass the level of the Eighth and Ninth Generation Mechas.

In this world, regarding mechanical materials, Leray undoubtedly stands at the pinnacle. Biological Dual State Metal is [Logic]’s highest secret. Fatty had countless times relied on [Logic]’s mimicry function to escape death.

Unfortunately, this kind of metal cannot be extracted in large quantities. Leray has only harvested a small amount to date.

Making an entire mecha with such materials is undoubtedly very luxurious. Whenever he thought of this, Fatty couldn’t help but feel deep gratitude towards Boswell. He understood well that despite the fights or curses, the old man truly treated him like a son.

The Biological Dual State Metal of [Logic] granted it infinite upgrade potential. Especially in terms of structure, without metal re-smelting, Fatty could dismantle and reconfigure the mecha at will based on his needs.

However, such first-stage modifications must be done in the lab.

In terms of the power system and control system, corresponding blueprints and data are essential. Mecha’s Energy Cannon, long-range viewer, radar, etc., cannot be simply changed by metallic mimicry.

Regret for the lack of books only coming when needed. Despite Fatty’s top-notch mechanics skills, under the shadow of that Twelfth Generation Mecha, he still found his knowledge and learning severely lacking.

As a Mechanic Soldier, Fatty proficiently knew every part of the mecha. During his days at Gallipalan College, he had studied almost every design material of private and military mechas he could find. But when faced with a mecha entirely beyond the era, what Fatty knew became meaningless.

A mecha involves thousands of parts, and these parts together form the power system, weapon system, balance system, electronic system, control system, perception system, defense system, action system, each involving vast knowledge.

Fatty, with the most determined spirit, had studied each bit, conquering them. His rich combat control and actual repair experience made him understand many things not found in books or design materials.

Fatty had confidently believed that just by looking at a mecha’s exterior, he could know its characteristics. By disassembling it once, he could fully understand the internal structure and restore it. If allowed to operate it a few times, he could identify and improve its flaws.

These were facts. Boswell knew well, without exaggeration; Fatty in this field was a genius. He possessed not only a strong memory but also extraordinary imagination! These are the most precious and rare qualities for a mechanic.

But now, every time Fatty wanted to modify [Logic], he didn’t know where to start. Every modification plan was overshadowed by the Twelfth Generation Mecha.

Fatty felt he had become obsessed.

Now, aside from scouring the lab warehouse for good stuff, he spends his time with Pipi searching for mecha information online.

Old model standard mechas, private mechas, beast-shaped, insect-shaped, human-shaped mechas, every kind was thoroughly researched. From these countless pieces of information, they sought inspiration.

Additionally, Fatty daily invested most of his energy into studying Casper’s work log and design materials found within the engine.

Inside, it encompasses the life research of the genius scholar Casper. Various mechanical theories, data, blueprints, concepts, and conjectures are all marvelous and profound. Some designs and research surpass his era as well as this era. For Fatty, it was simply a Lu Ban’s Secret Manual for mechanics.
