Chapter 513: Volume 6 Chapter 17 Trouble Caused by Fatty

Tian Xingjian put the spy goggles into his waist bag and strolled around with great interest. He had to say, this warehouse was truly enormous. Various strange and bizarre military supplies and Mecha parts developed by the laboratory were placed on rows and rows of shelves, countless in quantity.

With nothing else to do, Fatty decided to spend his time in this warehouse. Useful or not, he picked up each item to study it carefully.

For the past three years since the war began, Fatty always believed that his time at the Gallipalan Military Academy Laboratory was the most peaceful and fortunate period of his life. If it weren’t for that time, he might have long perished on the perilous battlefield.

From that time onward, Fatty realized that to survive in this chaotic world, he had to seize every opportunity and continuously improve himself. Now this laboratory warehouse made him feel like he had returned to those good times.

Leaving empty-handed from a treasure mountain was definitely not Fatty’s style. Take whatever you can. Can’t take it... put it back? Pfft, Master Fatty would never throw away such pride! Disassemble it and see if there’s anything useful.

If not, well then, figure out the principles so you won’t be at a loss when you need it in the future. With Master Fatty’s determination, what could be in here that he couldn’t figure out?

Just like that, Fatty put all his energy into the warehouse, eating in Boswell’s lab when he was hungry, and sleeping wherever he felt like when he was tired. At that time, Boswell and the little kid were fully immersed in the design and manufacture of infant-type robots, and no one had time to bother with Fatty.

Fatty was recklessly stirring up trouble in the warehouse.

Boswell had a moment of confusion. He should have known what a big mistake it was to let Fatty into the warehouse. How was this different from putting a mouse in a rice jar? In just a few days, the several major laboratories of the Capital First Military Academy were all thrown into chaos.

The warehouse where Fatty was located was the largest and most confidential laboratory warehouse in the academy. More importantly, Fatty wasn’t aware that this warehouse wasn’t exclusively for Boswell’s laboratory.

The entire comprehensive building had sixteen floors, besides the six laboratories transferred from Gallipalan, there were also eight laboratories belonging to the Capital First Military Academy itself. Apart from their individual research products, materials, parts, and equipment from these labs were all sourced from things in this warehouse.

All along, due to the warehouse’s particularly strict management system, there had never been any issues. But in the past few days, researchers from several laboratories discovered that the equipment or parts they had requested and extracted were a pile of disassembled components when transported to the pickup area by the automatic extraction machine.

The professors and researchers leading the research projects went mad immediately. The items they retrieved from this warehouse often constituted the final and most critical parts of their studies. After exhausting all efforts on public relations, and seeing success just within reach, such accidents were like a heavy blow to their heads.

News of problems in the warehouse quickly spread among all labs. The first thing people thought of was to find the warehouse manager.

The manager was helpless too. Due to confidentiality restrictions, this warehouse had an automated system from the start. Whether it was stocking up or retrieving items, the manager could only interact with warehouse items from the outer area. The entire internal distribution work was carried out by the central computer-controlled robotic arms.

To open the warehouse and get inside, one needed an access card. And the only people with access cards were Pirlo—Principal of the Capital First Military Academy who was away on an assignment in the Bermuda Star Domain—and Professor Boswell from Gallipalan.

However, no matter how hard they knocked, they couldn’t get Boswell’s research room door to open. The researchers tried everything: pressing the intercoms hundreds of times, sending hundreds of communications emails through the central computer, yet there was no response from the lab.

Initially, everyone thought something happened inside, and researchers from the Gallipalan Military Academy were very worried. Someone immediately checked the records of the automatic service system in recent days.

The results showed that food and water consumption remained steady in the lab every day. Including cleaning, maintenance, and other service data, everything was continuous, even showing orders for some non-delivered foods.

This information immediately ignited strong dissatisfaction among the researchers from the First Military Academy! Boswell was clearly okay, just refusing to open the door! What did this mean? Moreover, with Principal Pirlo away, Boswell was the only one from Gallipalan with warehouse access, and everyone believed he had much to do with the chaos inside.

As a result, the situation started escalating.

Researchers who came along with Boswell from Gallipalan understood Boswell’s nature, knowing that the old man must have been researching something critical. Besides, they despised researchers from the First Military Academy who frequently came to cause trouble, leading to an intense conflict between the two sides.

The disputes among the researchers spread thanks to the mischief-makers, further affecting the entire academy.

”Catherine, Catherine...” A girl clutching her textbooks ran into a dormitory, grabbed another girl who was watching combat examples on a computer, and dragged her out without any explanation: ”Quick, the guys from the First Academy are setting up a challenge in the gym, calling us out from our academy!”
