Chapter 512: Volume 6 Chapter 16 Laboratory Warehouse

This was too much of a shock.

It took Boswell a long time to calm down. He collected himself and carefully examined the detailed Mecha design diagrams organized by the little kid.

The design, materials, circuitry, parameters of various parts of the Mecha were all clearly displayed in front of him. Boswell only needed to look at a few sections to understand that Leray had made a significant advancement.

”This thing...” The old man’s voice trembled slightly, ”Where did it come from?” Suddenly he felt a bit scared, this was undoubtedly highly classified information from the Feiyang Republic. If Feiyang found out, it would definitely cause a huge dispute!

”Stolen!” Fatty said indifferently, ”They don’t know we stole the internal data and scanning structure of the Mechas, not their original design diagrams.”

”Really?” Boswell still wasn’t convinced. He stubbornly asked, ”How was it stolen?”

Fatty, reluctantly, recounted the events of that time. He pointed to the little kid and said, ”The final diagrams and design structures, parameters, were organized by Lord Fart himself. In some ways, this is even more advanced than their original design. After all, I smashed their two Mechas, and I have some testing insights.”

Old Boswell was truly convinced now. This Fatty was ruthless to the enemy, and didn’t hold back even with his allies, managing to acquire all the structural data of the main Mechas from the Feiyang Republic. He was simply Leray’s lucky star.

This meant that Leray’s military Mecha manufacturing level had effectively been advanced by a generation! Boswell just thinking about it made his whole body tremble with excitement. The Tenth Generation Mecha! Just placed right in front of him. How much time, effort, and money had been saved! Just with the information provided by Lord Fart, working overtime, it wouldn’t be a problem for Leray to produce a top-tier Tenth Generation Mecha within half a month!

The most important thing was that the Mecha could be used as soon as it was produced. The Tenth Generation ”Divine” was one of the best Tenth Generation Mechas in the entire universe. The Feiyang Republic had already matured this type of Mecha during many years of technological reserves. With only some modifications in appearance, it could immediately become Leray’s asset!

A fully matured Tenth Generation Mecha was something only two superpowers possessed! This was why the Feiyang Republic hadn’t yet massively equipped their forces with the Tenth Generation ”Divine.” Other major countries were mostly in the early stages of producing Tenth Generation Mechas, with their quantities low and performance unstable. Some Mechas were even less effective in battle than the matured Ninth Generation Mechas.

Whether it was the Desic Empire, Jiepeng Empire, or Suss Empire, none of them could possibly have the mature Tenth Generation Mecha technology like ”Divine”! And from the perspective of production lines, even within the Republic of Feiyang, the ”Divine” was only equipped by the Special Forces Group of their main Armored Division.

In half a year, Boswell was confident that in just half a year, Leray Federation’s Tenth Generation Mechas could be mass-produced and equipped to frontline units. This speed would not be much slower than Feiyang’s own equipping speed!

As long as they didn’t encounter the sudden appearance of the Binart Empire’s Twelfth Generation Mechas, the Tenth Generation ”Divine” would be the absolute leader in the Southeast Star Region. Once mass-produced, the Federation’s combat power in the Southeast Star Region would leap into the top three ranks!

”Goodness!” Boswell rubbed his hands and paced back and forth in front of the central computer, ”Lord Fart, you’ve really made a significant contribution this time!”

Fatty was taken aback and said, ”Hey, it was I who came up with the way to get it back!”

Boswell rolled his eyes and said, ”Could you have gotten this without our Lord Fart? Besides, if you want to claim the credit, I’ll go report it to the Command Department right now. Do you want that?”

Fatty immediately deflated, his cheeks shaking like a rattle.

He now had a phobia of taking credit. In peacetime, if there was money or fame to be gained, he would’ve jumped at it. But in this wartime, the entire Federation was tightening its belt, and no matter how great the achievement, the Command Department would only hand out a couple of medals. The splendor and wealth couldn’t be enjoyed, but if a dangerous task came up, and someone was needed to take the fall, you’d be the first they’d think of.

Anyone who sticks their neck out now is a damn fool. Keep the credit and tally it up later. Fatty thought to himself, and then said, ”The Command Department may screw me over, but old man, you can’t do this too. I don’t want medals, but you’ve got to give something nice from the lab as a reward.”

”Even Milan got taken away by you. What in this lab can you not get your hands on?” Boswell slapped the back of Fatty’s head, ”That’s the lab storage over there. The Capital First Military Academy has some nice things, go play with them yourself. Don’t delay me and Lord Fart’s matters.”

Boswell quickly and fervently threw himself into the design work for creating a mechanical body for the little kid.

After all, an artificial intelligence with thinking indistinguishable from a real human’s, was irresistibly attractive to any scientist. For the sake of future research, the old man decided to strongly favor the little kid. For his own sake, the little kid linked up with the central computer, and the old man and the kid, working to act cute, practically worked tirelessly.

Fatty sighed, took the access card Boswell gave him, and entered the new lab’s automatic storage.

The lab storage was similar to what Fatty had seen at the Gallipalan Military Academy, belonging to the vault model. Since many materials and products involved secrets and were extremely valuable, military academy lab storages generally adopted this model.

The storage consisted of a large reinforced hall and several small rooms around it, with no windows. The only passage was protected by three heavy alloy blast doors.

According to the procedure, materials used by researchers must be approved by application first, then entered into the central computer with authorization. The robotic arm controlled by the central computer would take the materials from the designated racks, deliver them to the safety zone, and then be distributed after inspection by warehouse management.

Thus, one could imagine how triumphant Fatty felt as he walked through the warehouse with the access card given by Boswell.

As soon as he entered, Fatty was captivated by something on the front shelf.

It was a gauntlet with an ancient-looking design. It seemed to be part of the ancient warrior armor commonly seen in movies, serving to protect the forearm.

To be more precise, this gauntlet looked like a broadened bracelet—light and thin, completely lacking the function of an arm guard. Such a misfit truly had no place in a modern lab. Things that defied logic usually intrigued Fatty. He determined at a glance that this gauntlet, which obviously didn’t belong in the materials category, was peculiar.

Picking up the gauntlet, Fatty became even more convinced of his judgment. This thing was actually made of liquid metal mixed with biological dual-state metal. Engraved on it was its name: new universal mechanical automatic arm!

How does this work? Fatty put the gauntlet on his arm, flipping it around for a closer look. The gauntlet only had a single red touch button.

He touched the button. With a ”whoosh” sound, a familiar feeling of the automatic repair arm’s grip spread through his right palm. In an instant, the entire gauntlet extended to his hand, tightly wrapping it. A circular protrusion on the back of the hand spiraled open, revealing a spherical alloy nestled inside.

Not seeing familiar tools, Fatty felt puzzled. His nimble fingers performed a series of movements used for controlling a regular repair arm, and to his amazement, the alloy sphere transformed into various tools at will: wire cutters, screwdrivers, armor breakers, wrenches, drill bits, and more.

Fatty immediately took a liking to this new type of automatic arm.

No one understood better than him, a mechanic soldier who had escaped alone twenty-one times, the importance of having an automatic repair arm while on the run. If not for having a repair arm with him all the way back then, he would have long lost his life on some corner of the battlefield.

Having the best skills was useless without a pair of hands to repair, modify, or assemble machinery. An automatic repair arm was everything to a mechanic soldier!

Although normal automatic repair arms weren’t heavy, their bulkiness made them inconvenient to carry around. But now with this, Fatty believed he could assemble mechanisms for his next escape under any circumstances!

Truth be told, despite having gone through so many battles, Fatty felt that what he enjoyed the most was being a mechanic soldier dealing with machines. Such work gave him peace of mind. No need to go deep behind enemy lines, no constant worry, and no fighting for his life every day.

Who knew what might happen in the future? Better to be prepared! This, Master Fatty accepted with a chuckle.

Wearing the repair arm, Fatty discovered another good thing.

It was a pair of sunglasses.

The reason Fatty took an immediate liking to these sunglasses was that they were almost identical to the peeping glasses he had made himself!

Not only were the sunglasses’ see-through capabilities powerful, but they could also use light projections to partially alter the wearer’s facial features. For instance, in the mirror now, Fatty saw a Tian Xingjian with a slimmer face and a more prominent nose.

What astonished Fatty the most was that the frame of these glasses concealed four mosquito-sized micro electronic insects. Within a fifty-meter range, these insects could carry out a spying mission for an hour. The miniature cameras hidden within their bodies could capture very clear images and real-time videos and sounds, transmitting them to the glasses in real time.

This technology had actually existed for several thousand years. However, with the development of counter-surveillance technology, the interference sources against such unethical devices had become pervasive. Houses, streets, signal towers, and even ordinary mobile phones could activate warning signals against peeping and eavesdropping.

However, the manual for these sunglasses indicated that, in areas not under strict control, the electronic insects could resist most civilian interference.

Fatty felt that these were made to fit him perfectly. No need to be an Overlord, he could still peep on anyone bathing whenever he wanted!!
