Chapter 523: Volume 6 Chapter 20 Phantom Stream_3

”They seem to support my idea very much. Since I started working, they have given me great assistance. I have always admired their wisdom and character. I believe in our common choice. So, I have spent thirty years on my research.”

”Using a weapon to deter war is a very naive idea. However, the stubborn me only realized this now. Humans are always able to create various weapons for war. Once this absolute force is born, humans will find ways to popularize it, then use more advanced technologies to create new killers. Continuing the war soaked in blood.”

”Stone tools, bronze tools, iron tools, gunpowder, firearms, tanks, missiles, and even atomic bombs. One invention after another indicates that human self-slaughter has entered a more efficient era. There are no perfect parties, no perfect governance. Human greed, ignorance, so-called justice, religion, and ideology determine that humans cannot eliminate war.”

”So, here I give up my efforts. I don’t want a weapon that doesn’t belong to this era to appear prematurely, inflating the confidence of some people in the Federation, thus ending the Leray Federation’s peaceful life. I cannot make such a mistake.”

”And, I finally started to doubt their intentions. Even though they have never done anything contrary to moral standards from beginning to end. But, morally not noble as I am, I still doubt.”

”I don’t know who will continue my research after my death. Who will read this diary. My students, I have warned you before, during the peaceful era, and until your knowledge surpasses mine, you are not allowed to continue my research. That will waste your time and bring unrest to the country.”

”But, I still hope that if one day Leray falls into the quagmire of war. My research can contribute a bit to defend this peaceful country.”

”If you need, and can continue my work, please complete it. If you can’t, I think I can give you a little advice. Go among the people, there are hidden dragons and crouching tigers. All my inspirations and knowledge come from there, don’t lock yourself in the military laboratory.”

”Lastly, please remember. When you have mastered absolute force, your responsibility is not to achieve victory or conquer land. Your responsibility is to end the war. At least, end the war of Leray. Ensure that what you have mastered will not bring disaster to humankind.”

The diary ended. After reading the last paragraph, Fatty pondered for a long time.

This material contains Casper’s life’s blood. Although it’s not complete, many achievements in it are truly miracles. With this material, Leray would stand on the same level as the Feiyang Republic, or even the Binart Empire that has developed the Twelfth Generation Mecha!

However, it’s unknown what kind of people Casper meant by ”they.”

In the midst of confusion, Boswell’s voice came from the communicator on his wrist: ”Fatty, open the door for me!” The old man’s voice was somewhat disgruntled.

Immersed in the startling discovery, Fatty did not realize this and casually opened the alloy door between the warehouse and Boswell Research Room at the console.

Boswell walked in with big strides, glaring. Behind the old man, a chubby little boy timidly clinged to his clothes, stumbling all the way.

”Pipi?” Fatty was completely dumbfounded. Although he knew Boswell and the little kid were always burning the midnight oil in the research room for the sake of appearing cute, he never dreamt that the realistic body of Pipi would be so lifelike after being made.

Besides, Fatty had to admit, Pipi’s appearance was excessively adorable!

Fair skin tinged with redness, proportionally large head, curly hair, chubby cheeks, innocent black eyes, small nose, slightly protruding ears, coupled with a chubby body about a year and a half old, this guy is even cuter than Cupid.

”Fatty.” The little kid stretched out his small hands, wobbled over: ”Hug!”

”Hug my ass!” Fatty stamped his foot on the little kid’s face. He stepped on the chubby and cute little brat. Letting his chubby limbs scrape around on the ground.

”Fatty!” Boswell sneered: ”You’re quite something!”

Fatty dared not provoke the old man, grinning: ”This little brat’s attempt at being cute is too disgusting. My reaction was purely instinctive.”

”Instinctive reaction?” Boswell raged: ”The outside is in chaos, you dismantled the things in the warehouse like this, making me the scapegoat, wasn’t that instinctive reaction?”

”Well...” Fatty nervously blocked Casper’s engine with his body, looking bewildered: ”I really don’t know, maybe I got too absorbed in the research.”

”Absorbed?” The old man noticed Fatty’s unease under Pipi’s secret hint, walked over and roughly pushed him aside: ”Move!”

Fatty stumbled, and in the process kicked the engine cover marked with an abbreviation open. He stood aside helplessly, showing an extremely innocent expression. Unfortunately, he forgot that Boswell was an expert who had been immersed in machinery all his life.

As soon as he saw the engine, Boswell was stunned. The internal structure completely different from ordinary engines made him quickly understand what this thing was.

The old man glanced at Fatty, quickly walked over, picked up the engine cover kicked aside by Fatty. As soon as he saw the abbreviation on the engine cover, the old man went into a rage.
