Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 332: Volume 4 Chapter 67 Behind Enemy Lines Planning_3

”Since the Gazalin has withdrawn from the war, besides Reinhardt, who has the support of the Desic Empire, the other forces are not our enemies.” Fatty thought about this issue for a long time, and now Rashid brought it up, so he naturally replied, ”To survive in this place, we can’t rely solely on ourselves, we need a backup...”

”A backup? You mean to collaborate with Stephen?” Stewart chimed in, with a tone of undisguised surprise.

”Stephen is too foolish and unreliable, what good is it to work with him?” Fatty pouted, ”Besides, he’s from the Morton family, aiming to become the Emperor. Someone like him can be exploited in the short term, but in the long run, he’ll only become our enemy.”

”Then you mean Gordon?” Stewart asked, relieved that it wasn’t Stephen, and asked further.

”Yes, Gordon and Hailig.” Fatty’s expression was perverted, making Nia, who was squeezed in Logic, unable to resist giving him a pinch as she listened to his calculations, ”These two are the big shots of the Gazalin Military. This time, they managed to form a third force at the most crucial moment and stand unshaken between Stephen and Reinhardt, which shows their strength. However, these two guys have two weaknesses we can exploit...”

”What weaknesses?” Rashid asked.

Fatty said, ”Although these two are Imperial Admirals, they can only control their confidants whom they promoted in the past. With confidants as the base, there are bound to be conflicts. And Gordon and Hailig are not united; two tigers on one mountain, if not for the perilous situation, they would have swallowed each other long ago.”

”Right now, Gordon and Hailig’s forces are the weakest. Our joining them would be a shot in the arm for them. They can’t count on the Western Alliance, and even though we, the Federation, are blockaded, we are still from the Fei Alliance and can possibly get some aid from Tatania and other Fei Alliance countries in this area. As the third force between them, we naturally become desirable. Gordon and Hailig will definitely try to win us over.”

Nia, who was tightly cuddled next to Fatty, was fascinated and asked, ”This is an exploitable weakness, what’s the other one?”

Fatty chuckled wickedly, ”They are now rallying under the banner of Prince George, but everyone knows that George’s life and death are unknown. How much appeal does such a banner have is questionable.”

”Then how do we exploit this weakness, using our Federation’s banner?” Rashid was a bit confused.

”Idiot,” Fatty scolded with a laugh, ”We still have the Freedom Front, right? With a chance for the oppressed lower-class races, which make up over seventy percent of the Gazalin population, to turn the tables, the current resistance has already taken on a blazing momentum. These forces are all under the control of the Freedom Front.”

”Of course, we won’t reveal our strength until Reinhardt and Stephen are both seriously weakened. But just think about it, the power of these normally oppressed people when they erupt, combined with the Freedom Front and other resistance organizations. If managed properly, it would be enough to make them the biggest force. Wouldn’t Gordon and Hailig be tempted?”

”A federal system, a fair racial system, would be easy for Gordon and Hailig to accept. After all, George is all but confirmed dead, and they themselves can’t become the Emperor. Becoming the President of a Federation Country, however, could be a good opportunity.”

Tian Xingjian’s plan enlightened both Rashid and Stewart, realizing that this game behind enemy lines could be played this way.

But then they heard Fatty continue, ”However, now the Little Pyrenees Star System has become a forward base for the Desic Empire. Cooperation with Gordon can only be in secret. When needed, we can hide on their turf and use their troops to shake off the enemy. Otherwise, we must focus on growing stronger. We must take what should be taken. Our goal should be the Desic Empire. We need to make them understand what it means when the bandit army passes through, not even a blade of grass grows.”

At this point, Rashid and Stewart heard Fatty making a series of lewd hums from inside Logic, followed by a muffled grunt, as he had apparently gotten too smug and was pinched by Nia for taking liberties.

”Report to the General, a Gazalin Mecha Group has suddenly changed course and is heading towards us. We’re half an hour from contact!”

The guard’s report left Tian Xingjian stunned. He could understand if the Desic Empire, relying on its powerful SkyNet System, had discovered this team’s whereabouts. But it was a Gazalin Mecha Group coming—isn’t this strange?

Quickly receiving the reconnaissance Mecha’s image information, Fatty couldn’t help but gasp. The group wasn’t just anybody; it was an old friend, a Mecha group from the Mythical Army!

Starting business and immediately encountering debt collectors — to fight or not to fight?
