Counterfeit Hero

Margaret was raised by Hastings.

In the Feiyang Army, she grew from a clueless five-year-old girl into a fifteen-year-old teenager who participated in war simulations with dozens of high-ranking Feiyang generals and discussed battle plans, and finally into a twenty-year-old military adviser who graduated from military academy, joined the army, and took part in wars. Her experiences and knowledge far surpassed that of ordinary girls.

In reality, Margaret’s social circle was very broad. She had a wide range of interests and was willing to make friends with people of any background. Whether it was a casual chat with young civilians or attending banquets of high officials’ and wealthy heirs of the Feiyang Republic, from high-society private gatherings to nightclubs with flashing neon lights, she could be seen.

One can imagine, what kind of vision such a woman possesses. By any measure, she seemed unlikely to be emotionally swayed by a mere fight.

But now, Margaret found that she had been lost in thought for quite some time.

She had witnessed countless fights. There were official matches in arenas, life-and-death fights in the black market, vicious battles on the battlefield, and the daily combat training in the army. However, she had never been as shocked as she was now. This fight delivered such levels of shock and impact that her hair stood on end and her scalp tingled.

From the outside, Margaret thought the chubby Fatty before her seemed like he was born to be beaten compared to the black and sturdy ”White Goose.” But just now, in that moment of confrontation, this Fatty transformed into a ferocious and terrifying human machine! With a body as strong as steel, he moved with lightning speed... the sound of those punches still echoed in her ears!

This kind of intense collision was something Margaret could never personally experience... In fights, taking down a few ordinary soldiers was more than enough for her, but to pit herself against these Special Soldiers, forget about the cannon-like White Goose, even facing an ordinary Special Soldier would likely be beyond her ability!

Not to mention trading punches with White Goose like Fatty did, even imagining two fists crashing into each other at lightning speed and the ensuing severe pain caused by flesh and bones, was enough to make Margaret feel weak all over.

She had to admit, she was ultimately still just a woman!

As she listened to those dense blows like a torrential rain and watched White Goose’s arm limply hanging by his side, saw Fatty’s fist strike White Goose’s face with a burst of blood... it was as if she could see a pig brutally beating a lion!

The expected scene was turned upside down, and the iron-blooded, savage scene filled her heart to the point it almost leaped out.

”Why don’t you all come together?”

In the dead silent training ground, Fatty’s cold voice rang out. Margaret snapped back to reality, focusing her gaze only to see Fatty coldly standing there, scanning all the Feiyang Soldiers, his honest face now bared of disguise, full of undisguised contempt and vicious mockery: ”If you’re afraid of getting hurt, you don’t have to come.”

Margaret’s gaze swept over Jason and all the Feiyang soldiers’ faces. What she saw was only shock and bewilderment. Just a few minutes ago, they were waiting to see Fatty’s joke, waiting for White Goose to give this Fatty a good beating, waiting to describe Fatty’s embarrassment to other Feiyang Soldiers.

But, even in their wildest dreams, they did not imagine that a few minutes later, the one lying on the ground would be White Goose. The ones humiliated and cornered would be Jason and the Feiyang Special Soldiers! This Fatty’s true face was so arrogant and detestable. His fierce but cowardly expression deceived everyone, as he effortlessly toyed with the entire Special Forces Camp.

From fighting one to beating many! Fatty’s cold laughter was like a sharp sword stabbed into the heart!

”Come on! What, don’t you dare?”

Looking around, seeing the shocked eyes of the Feiyang soldiers, their pale lips and frustrated expressions, Margaret felt her face burning.

All the things Jason said before, about these Feiyang soldiers’ training based on real combat, and his bold declarations about lying in the medical box for a few weeks at worst, now seemed extremely ridiculous in retrospect.

Tit for tat, this Fatty was not willing to suffer any loss.

The training ground remained deathly silent. Finally, Jason stepped forward with reddened eyes, unbuttoning his shirt one by one and throwing it hard onto the ground.

Under his lead, the five Feiyang Soldiers chosen for combat training earlier also took off their shirts. The six strongest in hand-to-hand combat in the Special Forces Camp surrounded Fatty with grim faces.

A fierce battle was about to begin..........

”What are you doing? What do you want to do?” Fatty panicked: ”I was just joking.....”

All Feiyang people, including Margaret, felt a rush of blood to their heads, a buzzing sound in their minds... all other sounds disappeared, only hearing Fatty shout: ”Are you really coming? Aren’t you ashamed? Six against one, aren’t you embarrassed? Is it glorious to win?!”

”...........”

A gust of wind rolled up the dust and leaves from the ground, swirling softly around the training field...

It was like being thunderstruck. The six soldiers, including Jason, were blushing, standing there in shame and anger. The faces of all the Feiyang soldiers nearby also turned blue and white. On one hand, they were so ashamed that they wished they could find a hole to crawl into, on the other hand, they were so angry they wished they could squeeze the life out of this thrice-damned Fatty!

I’ve seen evil, but I’ve never seen anything so evil!

This Fatty! Margaret bit her lip, half angry and half amused, realizing she had seriously underestimated Fatty’s shamelessness. Having grown up alongside Hastings, accustomed to tumultuous waves and diverse characters, yet she had never encountered such a shameless scoundrel.

Or rather, this guy isn’t even human!

No wonder that despite hearing about the conflict in Gazalin where six Armored Divisions led by Douglas clashed with the Leray people led by Fatty, no one could ever dig up the specifics. Everyone kept their mouths shut from top to bottom........

From the current situation, Margaret could completely imagine Douglas’s embarrassment at the time. If he had won, it wouldn’t have been an issue, but if he lost, it would have been kept a secret by anyone in his position.

However, if Douglas was manipulated by Fatty in the same way back then, with his pride, how could he still hold Fatty in such high esteem?

”Forget it, forget it.” On the training field, Fatty also shed his uniform, revealing his fair white flesh, shyly glanced at Margaret and sighed helplessly, waving his hand: ”Since everyone’s here, let’s spar a bit.” This rascal struck a pose while earnestly advising: ”This kind of thing, don’t spread it around... It’s very embarrassing!”

This Fatty is outrageous! Margaret couldn’t stand it any longer.

Perhaps, having the first confrontation start quietly like this was a good idea.

Such a shameless opponent should be amusing!

With a light laugh, Margaret’s eyes flowed like water as she leisurely said: ”Since General Tian spoke, everyone should just let loose. With General Tian’s combat level, he can handle not just six but even twelve people! Sparring within the Allies, no need to worry about embarrassment... Wallar, Tagore, Ai Wei... all six of you, join in.”

Fatty stared wide-eyed as six Feiyang soldiers emerged from the crowd, watching Jason and others’ expressions turn from shame to ferocity, not even having time to speak before that damnable Feiyang woman gave the order: ”Start!”

Damn woman! Fatty shouted: ”Wait a minute!”

”Everyone, attack, don’t stop!” Margaret smiled sweetly.

”Damn it!” Fatty couldn’t speak in time, as the sound of fists and kicks added up, and the swarming Feiyang Special Soldiers launched a storm-like attack surrounding Fatty. He blocked frantically, hands moving so fast they seemed impenetrable, barely managing to hold them off.

The Feiyang Special Soldiers, after all, weren’t decorative pillows.

White Goose’s defeat was because he didn’t understand Fatty’s power, losing in the first hard-hitting clash. Now, with his prior experience, none of the Feiyang soldiers risked a head-on fight with Fatty.

As the saying goes, it’s hard for two fists to match four hands. Especially now, Fatty faced twenty-four hands!

”Bang”

Two Feiyang soldiers simultaneously kicked at Fatty’s neck from the left and right. Fatty blocked with his hands just in time, but Jason had already thrown a lightning-fast kick to his chest.

Fatty bounced back, his plump body flipping backward into a somersault, dodging Jason’s strike and avoiding the sneak attacks of two Feiyang soldiers. Yet, he couldn’t dodge the knee strike from another Feiyang soldier. He staggered several steps back before steadying himself!

”Alright then....” Fatty was about to say something to ease the situation but was forced silent by the melee of punches and kicks from the Feiyang soldiers. Amidst the chaos, he looked at Margaret with grievance, only to see her raise her eyebrow at him. Their eyes clashed fiercely at that moment, the air seemingly sparking from their gaze collision.

A dozen elite warriors from the Special Operations Battalion, with the highest martial skill levels, including Jason, the top expert surpassing White Goose! No one believed Fatty could win.

Margaret was timing it, wanting to know just how long this Fatty could last.
