Counterfeit Hero

But she didn’t expect that what appeared before her eyes was such a dreamlike clash of dragons and tigers!

The true strength displayed by SM01314 shocked her, and what Fatty showed was even more unbelievable.

What is Mecha Fighting? This is Mecha Fighting. What is a Mecha Master? This is a Mecha Master! What she had seen before, heard before, learned before, was not on the same level as what was happening before her eyes!

It was like climbing on a mountain full of climbers. Each time looking up and seeing climbers higher up, she always had feelings of awe and envy. Suddenly one day, the clouds shrouding the mountain silently parted, revealing a higher, more majestic mountain range in the distance. Two people stood silently at the peak.

Compared to them, she, and the climbers around her, and even the mountain peak she was on, seemed so insignificant!

This discovery made Margaret, who was obsessed with Mecha to her core, unable to sit still.

Especially knowing that one of the two duelists, cheered on by millions of players, was in the same room, in the game cabin right next to her, she was almost suffocating.

It turned out that this Leray Major General named Tian Xingjian had reached such heights in Mechanical Technology!

Margaret held her breath, quietly standing outside the expanded simulation cabin.

Inside the simulation cabin, Fatty was spinning and bumping, his hands like a phantom on the virtual keyboard. On the virtual screen, Magic Beast’s attacks were so fast they dazzled the eyes.

The little kid and Fatty had let go of their temper. They had completely forgotten about the pretend fighting.

If the little kid wanted to win against Fatty in the game, it was a simple matter. As Artificial Intelligence, the natural control of the program allowed him to perform any incredible action in the game. However, Pipi disdained using programs or just hand speed to achieve victory; he wanted to go crazy with Fatty using skills.

He wanted to see just how high Fatty’s level of Mechanical Control could reach!

In the game, Magic Beast leaped up, its feet striking towards the head of War Fire like a snake emerging from its hole. However, War Fire was not to be outdone; standing on one leg, its whole body spiraled downwards, the other leg like a whip thrown in reverse direction, drawing an arc from bottom to top to meet Magic Beast’s mechanical leg.

After a piercing loud crash, the two Mechas tangled together like two octopuses, one in the air, one on the ground, twisting their bodies, releasing punches from both fists continuously with the sound of ping ping pong pong ringing out endlessly. Horizontal punches, vertical palms, chop and elbow strikes, grapples followed by hits… in a limited space, four mechanical arms moved with unmatched agility, each move and each technique were sinister and threatening, enough to make a person sweat like rain.

In just a second or two, by the time Magic Beast flipped and landed far away, the players already couldn’t tell how many punches and palms these two Mechas had exchanged with each other.

Many players were already out of breath; even their vests were soaked through.

The downpour-like offensive of Magic Beast and War Fire, the endless array of exquisite techniques made them feel like a fish thrown ashore, gasping with gaping mouths and flaring gills, breathing rapidly but growing weaker by the moment.

Before today, these Mecha maneuvers were things they didn’t dare even imagine.

Mecha are not humans; they can throw punches and kicks on demand. Each punch and kick requires control!

Yes, control. It’s the control achieved with a human’s two hands and ten fingers, alongside the assistance of an electronic helmet and a Mechanical Computer. Humans have only ten fingers, an uncontested fact. But now this common knowledge is being questioned... looking at the actions of these two Mechas, how many fingers would you say they have?!

”Control is king,” Elder Mu marveled: ”Now with the Mecha, the tenth generation, eleventh generation, perhaps in some countries, the technical reserves have already completed the Twelfth Generation Mecha. However, who can truly bring out the performance of these Mecha?! Is it human control technology that is lagging, or is it the Mecha that is outdated? This question has never had an answer, but today, those who are fortunate enough to witness this duel should all understand what the answer truly is.”

In the combat room, the two Mechas were still fiercely engaged in battle, darting and exchanging rapid blows. Many players couldn’t help but look down at their own hands.

What Elder Mu marveled at was exactly what profoundly shocked them in their hearts.

Especially that guy called ”Master Fatty,” who was piloting nothing more than a newly assigned system-issued Mecha. The performance of this kind of Mecha, in reality, was only equivalent to some very ordinary Private Mecha, merely equipped with some basic fighting capabilities.

No one could have imagined that in the hands of a master, such a Mecha could become such a terrifying battle machine!

All the understanding of Mecha, the meticulously studied and revered as the bible Mechanical Control Standards, were shattered in this dreamlike duel between the two Mechas. These Mecha maneuvers, these fighting skills, unheard-of and unseen before!

The explosive collision sounds, one after another, so densely packed that they nearly made hearts leap out of throats.

The duel on the field grew increasingly fierce.

Only to see Magic Beast combining its fingers into a knife, the blade light gleaming, slashing towards the chest of War Fire like lightning. This strike made people truly feel the sharp Cold Radiance exhaled and inhaled at the fingertips.

Fierce! Before this word could even finish flashing in players’ minds, they saw War Fire recklessly lift a foot overhead, bringing it down like splitting Mount Hua with a forceful strike!
